Social Studio (formerly Radian6 and Buddy Media) enables users to listen, engage, and publish within a social media marketing and management suite — and connect enriched social data to marketing with sales and service. Social Studio was the result of Salesforce' combining of Radian6 with the capabilities of Buddy Media, a social media publishing tool acquired by Salesforce in 2012. Social Studio is slated to be retired in November of 2024.

Marketing and Communications Insight. This encompasses people in the group marketing team who use the tool to schedule brand posts across multiple social touchpoints and use the Engage tool to monitor uptake and reaction to posting, and tie back with leads and existing contacts in our CRM database. The Insight team uses the analyse side of the tool to evaluate brand and competitor mentions in the media with a view to providing insight and intelligence reports on brand activity and marketing performance

All of the people in my organization who used Social Studio were within the marketing and communications function. I was the main super user. I was in the tool almost every day and managed all other users. Other people who used the tool included the social media community manager and some marketing coordinators who were responsible for specific marketing functions within the business who needed to report to their executives.

The majority of users at our company are social media moderators. They manage the columns of content pulled in through Social Studio's Engage dashboard. There are a handful of users who are account admins who manage what pulls into those columns that the moderators view and manage - again, through using Radian 6 Topic Profiles as well.

I as the social media manager used Social Studio throughout the day on a daily basis, scheduling all our content. I had two managers that would also access Social Studio to monitor the calendar and make suggestions.

This person monitored social media activity and reviewed analytics for the company about online traffic and social media sites. This person created reports and compiled the information to give it to executives.

As people in the organisation find out about features available in Social Studio, more people are requesting access.

Staff in our marketing, communications and media teams access Social Studio to provide content for publishing to our platforms. Staff from our IT and web services teams use the platform to listen to conversations regarding their services and provide responses accordingly. A team of customer support staff have access to respond to assigned posts.

Within the organization there are only 2 Social Marketers that are currently using the tool. Within our Agency partners, there are an additional 15 total users that manage and report from Social Studio on our behalf. As we expand social activity within the US and globally, we are confident that the tool will meet our growth opportunities.

• We have five logins. Mainly used by our social media manager and some members of the digital marketing team (to promote marketing campaigns) • Usage varies a bit depending on the phases we are in. For example, during campaign execution and analysis, we use the tool daily. Otherwise we check metrics about once a week. We also use the tool heavily at month end for reporting and analysis.
