We use Salesloft for our phone numbers, as well as the platform for cadences. It's been crucial in many aspects of our day to day. Cadences are heavily used by our SDRs and AEs to contact leads and continue to follow up with prospects. The ability to go back and listen to our recorded calls is a must when it comes to job coaching. We also utilize the live call studio component for new hires. Tracking whether emails have been read or seen is also a great insight that helps us gauge interest and how we go about our sales process.

SalesLoft is definitely very well suited for an outbound SDR/BDR role. Cadences are clutch when it comes to organizing their day to day and keeping things in check. It's helpful in the AE role in the aspect that it records our calls, tracks our emails, and houses templates. We also utilize cadences occasionally, but not as often as our outbound team does. I would say it's well suited across the board, but different features are used more heavily depending on the role.

SalesLoft is being used by the sales department to handle the interactions with prospects. It helps with follow ups and organizing contacts. We can set up automatic emails and it alerts you to do calls. You can create processes step by step with emails or calls and everything is measured so you will know what works better.

The Sales department uses it in USA and Canada to track and easily email prospects. It ensures we stay on top of reach outs and saves time from writing emails from scratch every time.

Well, SalesLoft is "THE TOOL" of our organization. We manage around 100 leads a month there for the need of having a tool that can help us optimize this process of sending emails and reminding you of the contacts you need to follow. The cadences and the integration with Salesforce are what I like the most of SalesLoft. I hope they can make a free app for android that will work for me.

SalesLoft is primarily being used by the business development, sales development, and lead generation teams at Skillsoft. We use the tool to organize our prospecting processes and create account-based marketing cadences. SalesLoft eliminates a lot of the manual tasks we had to previously perform in Salesforce, thereby saving us hours of time each day. We are able to extend our reach even further with the ability to create and customize templates, making it easy to personalize at scale.
  • It Keeps You Organized: You can easily run 25 different campaigns for 25 different accounts without having prospects fall through the cracks.
  • Data & Analytics: You can get a really good understanding of what works and does not work by looking at the data and analytics behind the e-mails you are sending out, and the phone calls you are making.
  • Smooth integration with Salesforce: everything that you do in SalesLoft can be easily transmitted back to Salesforce. They even allow customization of fields in SalesLoft to match up with what you have in Salesforce.
  • Clunky Functionality: It sometimes seems like you have to jump through unnecessary hoops to perform certain tasks (for example, changing the starting date of a cadence).
  • Inaccurate Reporting: There are a lot of times where it appears people are opening and clicking your e-mails, but they are not.

SalesLoft is being used primarily as a prospecting tool across the entire sales and marketing organizations. It's used as a systematic way to identify new business, with real-time feedback.
  • Email tracking. When successful, SalesLoft confirms if emails are read, links clicked, and if replied to.
  • Systematic Cadences. SalesLoft provides a system for outreach via email, phone calls and other activities (such as LinkedIn) that schedule and remind users when to reach out and it does a great job of measuring the results.
  • SalesLoft integrates extremely well with other resources such as Salesforce.com, LinkedIn and Discovery.Org.
  • When formatting emails, at times the interface is challenging to use when creating emails with HTML.
  • To my knowledge, there is not a way to combine duplicate contacts, nor add multiple email address ( ie. primary, secondary).
  • I would like the ability to create "customized" fields when importing contacts.
One helpful usage of SalesLoft is sending multiple email invitations to a list of clients (similar to mail merge, but easier). If a customer has a strong spam filter, SalesLoft is not effective for sending emails.

SalesLoft is being piloted by a very small subset of our sales group. We focus on the community bank space, and are the only "software" sales group in the broader company. It is being used because we have long been on Salesforce classic and wanted something to help with accountability and sales enablement.

SalesLoft is being used across the whole organization across various departments in Finance, Professional Services, VC/Equity, Corporate Markets, Industrials, Law, Accounts Management, Customer Success and more. It addresses the business problems of: 1) Provides visibility into communications, 2) helps to fill the gaps we have (no marketing team or department), 3) helps to automate messaging, 4) helps to streamline processes of customer outreach, client outreach, accounts management, and more.
  • SalesLoft integrates with Salesforce & other sales applications like LinkedIn Sales Navigator very well to provide insights & information on prospects or customers as part of the outreach when in Salesloft & emailing/messaging.
  • Salesloft provides additional add-ons and features like Owler & CrystalKnows to provide more insights into companies & prospects and how to either speak to them or discuss pertinent information with them.
  • Salesloft makes it easy to use it's outreach/emails with simple ways to import clients via csv or has ways to easily integrate into Sfdc to sync data and to provide visibility into duplicate prospects or clients as well. If there was only a way to filter out duplicate cadences & having contacts only be able to be part of one cadence at a time would be great.
  • Salesloft needs to vamp up their Rules management capabilities. To have the ability to create more rules in which (more fields & more open fields) cadences can be applied - for example. There should be a rule that one prospect can't be part of 2 cadences at the same time or of some sort. Or to somehow handle duplicates in the system (duplicate outreach) so customers don't get reached out to twice or at the same time by different account managers. (clean up data issues with rules)
  • SalesLoft could have more cross-functional visibility for teams to share cadences. I think it's not that easy to find Team Cadences or to filter Cadences.
  • SalesLoft should have better metrics for successful campaigns. It should be able to rank or rate the best campaigns across teams so that we can know for best practices which are the best campaigns to continue using and which ones to now. So rank them by "Open Rate" or "View Rate" or "Click Rate" just to have better analytics and a dashboard to track success metrics.
I've been recommending SalesLoft for each of the startups I've worked at or have consulted for. It is a great tool for sales teams. And even for customer success teams as well as Accounts Management teams. I recommend that it be used alongside LinkedIn Sales Navigator and to also leverage the additional addons like CrystalKnows as well. It should be used to help with Social Selling in Linkedin (sharing articles via Owler) and also for understanding customers with CrystalKnows.

SalesLoft is used by the business development SDR team to help manage external sales communications to sell professional software consulting services across many different Industries. SDR's spend their whole day in SalesLoft, which is integrated with our email system and CRM to provide up to date account information. From the perspective of running an SDR team, SalesLoft is used to track top-performing SDRs and metrics that lead to compensation like the first introductory meeting booked as well as outbound call numbers and performance.
  • SalesLoft does a great job of tracking SDR KPIs and metrics for Sales Managers.
  • SalesLoft does a great job with Email cadence organization, creation, and collaboration.
  • SalesLoft does a great job integrating with Salesforce CRM.
  • SalesLoft does a great job to help an SDR organize their day.
  • SalesLoft does a great job to collaborate across different SDR teams.
  • SalesLoft does a great job at remaining Industry agnostic.
  • SalesLoft call quality when making outbound calls directly through a laptop does not work very well. Our SDR team generally uses the call forwarding option.
  • SalesLoft's activity metrics are sometimes incorrect. For example, our SDRs have run into instances where they believed a contact opened an email when truly it was a spam filter and the contact never received the email.
  • SalesLoft's Account view is a bit hard to understand for our SDRs as it is not a standard account page.
SalesLoft is well suited for a standard SDR position, where an SDR's daily responsibilities are to hit a certain metric of outbound call quotas, outbound email quotas, and introductory meetings booked. It's great for SDR teams to collaborate, particularly when there are a few spread out across different regions or internationally, as SalesLoft Admins can create shared templates and cadences to be used by many different teams. I believe it would most likely be less appropriate if there were more complex tasks attempted to be completed by an SDR, for example making a sale through SalesLoft or obtaining contract information or handling software demo requests.

Salesloft is a great tool and its main use case for our organization at Hootsuite is to be able to efficiently allow our sales team to reach out and connect with all the leads coming through our marketing team. We have a lot of leads that come through whether they are webinars leads or contact us leads and being able to efficiently get out multiple emails at once or make d40 dials in 15 minutes allows me to keep my pipeline fully loaded.

I personally use Salesloft for efficiently reaching out to all my leads without having to personalize each email one by one. I also use it to listen back to all my calls to see where I can improve and what information I missed on discovery calls. It's great for allowing you to book a meeting straight from your email as they have access to your Gmail calendar.

I am in the first group at IBM to use SalesLoft. We are using it in conjunction with SugarCRM to create a multi-touch strategy for leads that come in through chat, phone call, white paper download or event attendance.
  • SalesLoft has totally changed my life! I am able to categorize and manage thousands of leads using SalesLoft.
  • I am able to create very specific cadences for the various products and services we sell, so I am sending personalized messages by the hundreds.
  • Once my cadences are set, I am done. I have a full view of who is opening my messages, I can connect via LinkedIn INSIDE SalesLoft, a HUGE advantage.
  • From the SalesLoft dashboard, I can easily and quickly see who opened my email, who accepted my LinkedIn connection—and those are the folks I focus on following up.
  • I can show management exactly how many emails I have sent in a nice dashboard view. I am in control and my job is so much easier.
  • I would like to be able to edit a cadence after it has started. Like add an additional email or add a contact.
  • The call feature does not integrate with our phone system.
If you manage inbound leads, SalesLoft is the perfect tool. If you are a seller and create your own campaigns, you can easily build and manage those campaigns in SalesLoft. If you have a specific sales territory and want to categorize your contacts, that is easily done in SalesLoft.

Salesloft is being used by my organization's Sales and Sales Development teams to organize and make our outreach efforts more efficient. We leverage Salesloft at Shutterstock to create cadences for all our prospects. It automates the process when it comes to reaching out to new prospective customers.
  • Automation. Functions such as "Send All", being able to schedule emails, make Salesloft a useful tool that makes it easier for me to get my work done.
  • Analytics. Salesloft provides insight into the most effective cadences, steps, templates in order to optimize outreach.
  • Integrations. Salesloft integrates with various sales tools including Salesforce, Vidyard, Sendoso, etc.
  • It would be nice if I could upload GIFs into emails.
Salesloft is well suited for anybody prospecting to a lot of customers in a day. The Salesforce integration enables me to upload leads and contacts seamlessly onto the platform, put them into cadences, and make outreach less intimidating.

  • Tracking email history so there is no overlap in contacting the same person by multiple people on our teams
  • A functionality we don't have access to is taking someone off the cadence when they have booked a meeting through the link but are not responding to the email sent directly. I think this is a function for admin only but it would be good to have it included for anyone using the tool.
Great for sales and account management inbound and outbound to manage emails to prospects and clients.

My team is responsible for setting up meetings with potential clients to discuss how we can further partner, across a number of different practice areas. It's used within 2-3 departments within our organization in order to minimize time spend tracking and keeping up with emailing our prospective clients on a day to day basis. Highly recommend SalesLoft for use within any sales role. For inside sales, it's key to staying organized and keeping messaging consistent across reps, and testing what does and does not work in outreach. I already really like that reps across teams can see who has been reached out to - this way we don't cross wires and get in touch with the same person at the same time.

I use SalesLoft for prospecting and adding cadences to my communication with customers. SalesLoft makes my daily tasks easy and automates my process. What would take me days, I do in minutes. Love SalesLoft and think it's an amazing tool.

It is used by Producers to automate their sales cadence for cold outreach and follow up. I use it when I have an introductory call to record the conversation for reviewing where I can get better.
  • Lets me know where I’m calling and whether the person I’m calling has clicked on earlier emails.
  • Tracks my number of calls, emails and replies. It helps me test different type of messages.
  • Dial out function allows me to do more outreach in less time. I’m responsible for not only business development but also relationship management. As I get more clients I have less time for prospecting and need to be as efficient as possible.
  • Track how long people stay on an email or how long they spend on an embedded link.
  • Better prompts for end of cadence - not converted so I know to reach out at someone different within an organization.
  • Scoring system of prospects that counts email opens and prompts outreach.
For inside sales people, not as effective for relationship management.

SalesLoft is utilized by our inside sales department. It is currently just being used by my department, although there has been a push for other departments to utilize this software as well. It helps all of our representatives stay on track when it comes to reaching out to our customers that have expressed interest in our company. SalesLoft gives you the ability to personalized a cadence in which you would like to follow with your leads and tools that allow you to customize emails, have dynamic coding, and voicemail drop capabilities. The monotony of trying to reach out to customers that are tough to reach becomes almost automatic. It is extremely useful when it comes to staying organized for what is needs to be done for that day when it comes to the calls needed to make or the emails needed to send.

  • SalesLoft does a great job utilizing the dynamic codes so that every email becomes personalized to that customer.
  • SalesLoft lets you know who to call, when to call, reminds you of every note you have taken, and allows you to to listen to every conversation you've had with your customers in the past.
  • SalesLoft allows you to have local dialing capabilities, which results in higher pick up percentages.
  • Allows you to create your own cadence you feel necessary to reach out to your customers.
  • Allows you to pull data that shows what is working and what is not.
  • Allows the entire team to be on the same page with info that you send your customers.
  • Sometimes when I go to reschedule a certain task due date, that task will still pop up the next day and I have to reschedule it again.
  • When I start my day it will say I have X amount of calls to make, and then throughout the day, I will have tasks trickled in. It would be nice if it showed you exactly what needed to be done upfront.
  • I wish we could send emails through SalesLoft to people not in a cadence.
  • Text to chat feature would be nice.
  • Weekly team comparisons emailed to the team would keep everybody accountable.
Any company with a scenario in which the company needs to get in contact with customers via phone or email to give information on certain products would LOVE SalesLoft. If a Sales Rep is not necessary to sell a product, I'm not sure who else would utilize this software.
