In our organization, SAP Analytics Cloud serves as a pivotal tool for data-driven decision-making. We harness its capabilities for comprehensive business intelligence, utilizing interactive dashboards to analyze and visually present insights from diverse data sources. SAC facilitates collaborative planning and forecasting processes, enabling real-time simulations and fostering team collaboration. The platform's predictive analytics feature empowers us to anticipate trends and identify opportunities, while its seamless integration with both SAP and non-SAP systems ensures a holistic approach to data consolidation. SAC's mobile analytics support keeps decision-makers informed on-the-go, and the self-service analytics feature empowers business users to perform ad-hoc analysis, enhancing agility. The scope of our SAC use extends across various departments, including finance, sales, marketing, and operations, ensuring a unified and responsive analytics environment to address a multitude of business challenges.

SAP Analytics Cloud is great for big companies that want advanced data analysis and planning, especially when they need to work together in real-time or when people need to access data on their phones. It's like a super tool for predicting future trends in industries like retail or finance. SAC also works well for companies that use different types of computer systems because it can easily connect them. But, for small businesses that only need basic reports or don't have a lot of technical resources, a simpler tool might be better. If a company doesn't always have a good internet connection or if they're just starting with analytics, there might be other tools that work better.

My work as an Editorial Assistant requires me to use SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) in different ways to manage and analyze the editorial process. It helps me break down the process of product development to expedite delivery of the final product. It helps me create a dashboard for my project to track metrics such as reader demographics, market survey results, direct feedback on the product, author expectations etc. The predictions made by SAP Analytics Cloud help me and the team better understand user expectations/ changes to be integrated in the new product. The budgetary models generated by SAP Analytics Cloud have evidently been efficient at controlling costs of the project. Additionally, seamless collaboration with my colleagues sitting continents away via SAP Analytics Cloud is highly appreciable.
  • SAP Analytics Cloud's augmented analytics feature helps the user create audience segmentation based on reviewer behavior, feedback, preferences etc.
  • The governance feature offered by SAP Analytics Cloud enables editorial administrator and the product manager ensure compliance, adherence to Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity and data privacy regulations.
  • Being a multi-user platform, collaboration becomes quick and easy for organizations wherein multiple teams often work for the development of a product.
  • For a first-time user, the learning curve can be a bit steep.
  • At times, the data in reports generated can have limited capabilities.
  • There should be better customization options to improve tailoring to specific business needs.
Being a cloud-based product, SAP Analytics Cloud offers flexibility to access analytics remotely. It integrates seamlessly with other SAP products, ensuring smooth operation. Once the users get past the learning curve, using SAP Analytics Cloud becomes easy and efficient for technical as well as non-technical users. However, it needs better customization for business needs to be able to help small and medium sized businesses. Could be an cost-intensive option for small firms as the software considering its dependence on other SAP products. Overall, SAP Analytics Cloud comes highly recommended for being an intuitive interface.

At our organisation SAP analytics cloud is a gamechanger. It helps us keep tabs on how well our startups are doing tracking things like customer acquisition and growth live. We can easily evaluate performance of any employee using experience and knowledge. We use it to keep record of our orders and to anlalyze them easily.
  • It makes it easier yo analyse order and related records easily.
  • We can easily maintain and track the performance of employees in organisation.
  • Can easily track various aspects for the growth of an organisation thus allowing real time analysis and tracking of organisation's growth and performance.
  • User Interface of SAP cloud analytics can be improved more so that it can be made more accessible.
  • User support is not that much good and time consuming.
  • Limited team work and collaboration possible as their are not much collaborative features available, it makes it sometime time consuming.
If you want to track your organizations performance live on regular basis and needs good analytics option you should try this out, it's easy to implement, cost friendly and you can almost track all of organizations processes from just a single place but if there's more team work required on analysis in your organization or you're looking for more collaborative tool with better support it will not work that much good for your usecase.

My team and I use SAP analytics cloud to analyze bulk of CRM data, create segmentation and automated workflows for decision making. With Cloud Analytics, we can generate insights from sales data at a daily, monthly and even quarterly cadence. We can even create the mandates for sales team basis their performance throughout the funnel basis their lead data.
  • Data security
  • Access control
  • Access from anywhere
  • The mobile app could be faster & lighter. Currently it hangs often while loading dashboards.
  • It takes some time to get accustomed to a new peson. The training modules are not very informative.
  • Difficult to integrate with existing legacy systems.
Well suited for distributed access control wherein you need to give a dashboard to individual sales team members, especially for target vs achievement incentivization schemes. The team can see live tracking data on top of custom dashboard to monitor & act at all times.
It is less appropriate for custom querying and aggregation.

As a sponsoring editor, one of my job roles entails analyzing sales data to make financial projections for products in my portfolio. SAP Analytics Cloud helps make forecasts in my business proposals using real world data for accurate projections. It also helps me predict financial outcomes based on decisions taken, as well as create budgets keeping in mind the financials of the department as a whole. As a cloud-based product, I also appreciate that it works seamlessly while I collaborate with colleagues around the world.
  • It uses machine learning to reveal patterns and relationships in data to help make accurate projections.
  • It can support a lot of users which is vital in companies that require input across departments to make financial plans.
  • It works seamlessly over the cloud.
  • It lacks customization features, so it can't be tailored to a company's specific needs.
  • It is highly dependent on other SAP products to unlock its full potential.
  • For first-time users, its environment can get a bit confusing.
SAP Analytics Cloud is well suited in large companies that require input from across departments and markets to create accurate financial plans. Its AI and machine learning features are particularly helpful in making accurate projections. It is also handy if you have to collaborate with colleagues around the world in real-time. However, it would not be appropriate for small or mid-sized companies considering that its full features are unlocked only with other SAP products.

In our company, we handle numerous part lists according to client, dimension, region, and company using SAP Analytics Cloud. We oversee additional departmental data as well. We are moving from several outdated ERP systems to a single SAP system.
  • Bom management
  • dashboards, charts, and graphs for forecast trends and patterns
  • Integration with other PLM systems
  • handling large data can be sometimes leads to lagging
  • user manual can be more simpler
  • ticket resolving issue takes time
SAP Analytics Cloud is well suited for creating dashboards, charts, and graphs which helps in understanding trends and forecast and helpful in sorting out data from number of data at a time. Sometime for users with less experience can be hard to understand the interface.

SAP Analytics is currently used across all departments (finance/HR/sales) of client I support. We have designed various stories and applications as well on sales/finance/HR data showcasing different KPIs, Top N contributors, Geo-Map data points. There is not much additional work needed as the same story can easily be seen using mobile or tabs by business users. Business users loved the smart capabilities of SAC wherein they type any query in Natural Languages and it produces relevant graphs to users.

Recently I have done POC on HR data for them to identity probable employees who could leave organization. The POC went well so we are asked to implement the same. I used built classification-in for addressing Attrition problem which resulted in 83% accuracy. Client has asked us to do a POC using regression if we can predict number of copies to be printed considering various factors like historical data (sports event/elections/or other catastrophic events).

Suggestion:
However I feel SAC can be more effective if more modelling capabilities are provided. Integration with R is good but SAP should think of Python integration as well, reason being Python is more user friendly and capable of doing all what R does.
  • Natural language processing.
  • Geo-spatial enrichment.
  • Support to mobile/tabs.
  • Easy user interface.
  • Prediction capabilities.
  • R integration.
  • Application building.
  • Dashboarding.
  • Complete descriptive statistics about business using stories.
  • Modelling capabilities.
  • Python integration should be included.
  • Model rebuilding losses all data validations/transformation and too much of rework.
For an organization spread across globe SAC comes in handy as it has capabilities to represent data of all countries on Global Map using Geo-Spatial points. Even business users can drill down to the lowest possible level maintained in hierarchal structure. SAC has built-in capabilities for currency translation which further enriches two show data in single global currency for ease of comparative analysis for different regions.
SAC is very well suited for planning budget & forecast scenarios for companies' financial needs. SAC is the only tool having all three different type of Analytics i.e. Descriptive, Predictive & Prescriptive analysis. SAC has an inbuilt R Server and also supports R integration with external server for more of predictive analysis and superb visuals. The same story can be seen in desktop, laptop including mobiles & tab so no extra work for getting reports on mobile except for API integration. SAC supports importing data from non-SAP environments and provides seamless live connectivity to SAP HANA cloud systems.

SAC will not be that useful where more of operation reporting is required though it is capable of providing Excel-like interface with similar functionalities.

We are using this to forecast consumer attitudes about goods in order to build on what is planned for the future or to improve customer experience.
This is also, helping us to do better reporting to management. these reports create by transforming data saving more time while taking some decisions.
The option to utilize built-in algorithms or expand using R has real deal.
  • Quick Reporting, You can get quick report by transforming data into insightful reports.
  • Built-in algorithms, there number of built in algorithms which helps to get great results
  • We can use R for more expansions
  • Costing, costly way for low margin/small scale enterprises.
  • With volume of data increase it slows down
  • Adding a sequence on a SAP Predictive Analytics server is quite difficult
Based on experience, this is really helpful for study any data, analysis of data with great reporting.
Large scale organization can afford the pricing as it is on higher side.
with huge volume of data slowness is the issue so, need to consider volume till the time this issue gets resolved.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) plays a pivotal role in optimizing our operations and delivering value to our portfolio of startups. The platform is instrumental in addressing several key business challenges and aligns with our broader goals of fostering growth and innovation.

It enables us to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each startup in our portfolio. This includes monitoring metrics related to customer acquisition, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. The real-time analytics provided by SAC empower us to gauge the success of each startup and identify areas for improvement.
  • Portfolio Health Analysis
  • Performance Tracking and KPI Monitoring
  • Resource Allocation and Planning
  • Complexity in Data Modeling
  • SAC supports various data sources, but improvements in the ease of connecting to and integrating with certain data repositories, especially non-SAP databases, would enhance the platform's versatility and integration capabilities.
  • An offline mode for SAC could be valuable for users who need to access and analyze data without an internet connection. Additionally, optimizing performance for large datasets and complex visualizations would contribute to a smoother user experience.
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) excels in scenarios where organizations require comprehensive analytics and reporting capabilities across various business functions. For instance, in financial planning and analysis, SAC's robust data modeling and visualization features enable finance teams to create dynamic dashboards, perform scenario analysis, and generate insightful reports for strategic decision-making. Additionally, SAC is well-suited for executive-level reporting, offering intuitive and visually appealing presentations that provide leaders with a consolidated view of key performance indicators. In sales and marketing, SAC's ability to integrate data from multiple sources facilitates in-depth analysis of sales trends, customer behavior, and campaign effectiveness, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions. Moreover, SAC's collaborative features make it suitable for cross-functional teams, fostering communication and knowledge-sharing through interactive data exploration.

We used to manage data of employess for performance managment. We used to evalute employee by year of experiance, skills, knowledge of domains etc. It make data visulisation very easy and make us to help and anlayse data and make decisions. As with medium amount of data it was easy to mange and got productive outcomes.
  • Data visualization is excellent
  • Easy to use
  • Can manage Multiple formate of data in handy way
  • All analytics tools at one place
  • Should provide guildline to every action buttons in simple language
  • should make tool UI more interactive and colour full
  • Navigation should make more simple
Well suited :
If working with large organisation and multiple roles it make more simple and easy to acess data. As the data is at one place one can access as per need and make contribution to organisation. To manage whole data modeling and data processing tools present at one place , so it is one stop solution to mange data

Less Appropriate:
It is still littel less user frindly. So one need to train for using tool. And in graphical representaion it should be more interactive and colurful.

  • Quite easy to create nice looking reports
  • Quite fast even with live connection
  • Sharing of reports for non SAP Analytics Cloud users
  • No possibility to print report to Excel

SAP Analytics Cloud is used as a reporting tool for financial reporting, planning and budgeting. SAP SAC is also used as a KPI reporting tool for key KPIs within the organization. SAP SAC is also used by business users to design and develop their own SAC end user stories and dashboards.
  • KPI Reporting and use of numeric graphs
  • Ease of measure formatting and calculating of key figures based on individual reporting requirements.
  • Sharing and broadcasting of Stories
  • Data slicing and dicing capabilities could be more intuitive for use.
  • Data transforming while uploading from local file server could have more ETL options
  • Ease of table functions, on similar lines to SAP Analysis for Office.
While reporting on SAP data sources, SAP Analytics Cloud is one of the best solutions available. Also SAP SAC offers wide range of visualization options and ease of use for business users. With access and roles being the same as in the underlying SAP systems, it also becomes very seamless to maintain access control.
