SAP Integration made easy
We use SAP Integration Suite for B2B, B2C, and A2A to extract and transform data. We use several different adapters to extract and load the data depending on the business requirements. We use it for multiple departments in the organization but mostly for sales, supply chain, and HCM.
- We use the EDI capabilities to map the data between IDOC and EDI flowing in both directions.
- Monitoring tools are awesome to determine the root cause of an error in a flow.
- Easy to grab a payload and reprocess in another environment for testing.
- We have some very complex setups for EDI with customers and the linking of those EDI documents to the correct customer in SAP in the TPM was not easy. we had to create a unique link between SAP PI and SAP ECC which created lots of records in the TPM to maintain.
- The JAVA version is always a challenge when getting a replacement Laptop and getting the SAP PI software installed and working.
Personally, I use SAP Integration Suite for connecting to all my external applications especially to Salesforce as most of my Important Business Data is in Salesforce. I like SAP's simple-to-use integration service which supports REST API Integration. Sap Integration Suite also provides a real-time Integration service that is resource-intensive but powerful.

SAP Integration Suite is more than just SAP
We use Integration Suite to provide real-time and near real-time data interfaces for our distributor portal.
- Provides for many data types and integration scenarios.
- Has good performance when orders are created and tracking information is updated our distributors need to know this information as it happens. They get this information in our DB portal.
- Has great audit track and trace and you can configure it when necessary.
- The setup remains cumbersome with many components to update.
- Transport layer would be nice for change management.
We use SAP CPI / Integration Suite / BTP to interface S/4HANA with SAP Commerce Cloud and other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Great Value / Makes Developers Happy
My organization uses the SAP Integration Suite to integrate seamlessly with our on-premise / cloud-based software without any issues. It’s been a nice vendor-relationship knowing that this “just works. We also used a lot of third-party cloud applications and needed to ensure that the lead time was limited due to project time constraints and the ease of usability increased for our customers. SAP helped make it happen.
- AI-enabled cloud and hybrid integration
- Ability to design and publish APIs
- Limited knowledge curve - makes it easy to onboard new devs
- SAP claims adaptability is a “pro” but we’ve found that its been a bit of a challenge internally (unsure if thats us or the product)
- More clear understandings of governance and security (but this may be a marketing situation)
- Capabilities are endless - we wish we had more of an education after we set things up so we knew how to expand.

I use SAP Integration Suite for my organization's annual objective creation, employee record-keeping & career tracking, and timekeeping/payroll. SAP enables our team to maintain employee records from onboarding to severance, regardless of the individual's employment journey throughout their tenure within the organization. SAP also enabled our team to track employee performance, attendance reliability, and pay/benefits/confidential HR data in a single, unified platform.

- More automated timekeeping - esp. in relation to repetitive scheduling for hourly employees.
- Improved attendance/reliability tracking (this is a primary metric for our organization, so it needs to be as accurate and intuitive as possible).
- More robust/relational objective creation/tracking (this might be very difficult for a multi-organizational solution, but adding a deeper relationship/connection between objectives and day-to-day work would go a long way toward employee engagement across the org.

Great Experience! Highly recommend!
SAP Integration Suite is a powerful tool offered by SAP on BTP to integrate SAP on-premise or cloud applications with non-SAP applications being on cloud or on-premise. In our use case, the Integration Suite [has been used] to [integrate] our on-cloud SAP Subscription Billing with our in-house SAP SD (Sales and Distribution). The master Data replication was one of the processes that are in place. Another integration topic is the replication of the Invoicing Documents generated in SAP Subscription Billing in on-premise SAP SD. The integration process was very easy with the use of the Integration Suite.

As an administrator and integration developer, I am using the SAP Integration Suite Integration suite as one of the services for integration in the SAP Business Technology Platform (Neo Environment). The business problem it addresses is, for example, businesses would like to have automatic integration with the Australian Taxation Office to update the employee's payroll (exemption and deductions) from the on-premise ECC system to the ATO system. So, updating payroll data from SAP ECC to the ATO system (non-SAP system) is achieved via using integration scenarios in Cloud Platform Integration.
- We can use standards integration flows already developed by SAP for integration.
- Message monitoring can be easily done and we can analyze logs in case of any errors during message transfer.
- Deploying and using integration flows is really easy and convenient and we have 99.99 % availability of Cloud Platform Integration and high availability is fully managed by SAP.
- Upgrade in existing integration flows and software is required a little quick.
- Need some more learning materials created by SAP for training end-users and administrators.
- Support for cloud platform integration is limited. Hence SAP support can be increased for this.

We use the SAP Integration Suite primarily SAP CPI-DS and SAP CPI-PI for various Cloud to Ground, Ground to Cloud, Cloud to Cloud integrations. Its a standard for such integration patterns in my company. The usage of Integration suite is for enterprise applications that are deployed globally in the company. Its used to address many integrations in Supply Chain Planning, Sales & Marketing, Logistics and few other Business domains.

- A database should be embedded in the integration suite for storing complex transformation rules and sometimes even master data that is relevant to the integration scenarios

Great Product - SAP Cloud Platform Integration
As I worked under Fixed Asset Department which comes under Finance domain, they used to manage and keep a record of all their transactions on SAP Integration Suite. They used SAP Integration Suite so that they can maintain all their transaction data on cloud rather than having data to be managed on premise.
