I am an SAP Commerce Cloud Developer at my organization and I use SAP Commerce Cloud every day and implement different functionalities on websites for our clients. As a developer when you work with SAP Commerce Cloud the job is much easier, tasks like build and deployment are smooth and easy with minimum steps involved. Implementation with the service layer is flexible and easy. Beginners & Java developers can learn and use SAP Commerce Cloud very quickly once the basics are clear. SAP Commerce Cloud is an extensible and flexible solution today in the eCommerce industry.
  • Build and deployment is faster and easier
  • Development is easy with service layer implementation
  • Extensible and Flexible solution
  • can use OOTB functionalities with little configuration
Cons
  • Canceling the deployment takes a lot of time and we are helpless without SAP support
  • Production deployment gets stuck and we are helpless without SAP support
  • Support for OOTB issues/ deployment issue should be improved
SAP Commerce Cloud has provided many OOTB functionalities which you can use and extend with minimum configuration. SAP Commerce Cloud has provided UI to manage products/users etc via back office cockpit, Clients can manage websites in SmartEdit, etc. all these make working with SAP Commerce Cloud easier. SAP Commerce Cloud is easier to learn and wiki is very helpful.

I use SAP Commerce Cloud for our application subscription portal. Some clients involved our tea in the platform selection and we consider recommending SAP Commerce Cloud it's a good idea as it will support all the use cases they needed. Considering the autoscaling it's a really important part as most of the clients are using it for loads of users.
  • Multilevel versions
  • Easy to develop
  • Easy to scale
  • Fast integrations
  • User experience
Cons
  • promotion customization
  • price / high maintenance cost
Sap Commerce Cloud is well suited for B2B and B2C client solutions which we are using currently for our clients. It helps them to get started fast and get the product to the users within time. Also the autoscaling part it's a really good one which helps our clients always.

We use SAP commerce for Backoffice settings, adding Impex or exporting Impex, changing the configuration for SAP HAC. Many of the base store level or b2b/b2b2b settings we do from the Backoffice. making changes for storefront we use Backoffice. HAC also helps us to add new settings for the storefront, we also use SmartEdit to do necessary changes for the store.
  • Deployment of Dev and stage Enviroments
  • Change Configuration for front store
  • add/remove a functionality from the backoffice.
Cons
  • sometimes deployment get fails
  • When try to login it not get logged in at once.
  • Backoffice is slow need to be faster.
* Deployment * Changing configuration * easy to handle * stable

Excellent SAP platform easy to implement and integrate.

Content and data management, 360 degrees of our customers, merchandising and sales and business model optimization, SAP Commerce Cloud transactions can be carried out in such a way that they interact with current ERP systems. We use SAP Commerce Cloud to create builds of different versions, which are then deployed to various environments. We also use Backoffice for all test and production environments in our project, and we use HAC for a variety of tasks such as running Flexi queries, SQL queries, importing and exporting Impex files, and so on.
  • SAP Commerce Cloud lowers manual effort, enhancing developer labor efficiency, and provides a strong content management system where we specify items, catalogs, and promotions.
  • Deployments are done well, and builds are created quickly with no crashes or issues.
  • SAP Backoffice and HAC are extremely useful in the daily lives of Hybris developers since they allow us to check all implementations done in each environment as well as compilations prepared and implemented in each environment.
Cons
  • It's a little pricey; further cost reductions will expand product selection; also, trained operators are required.
  • HAC occasionally functions extremely slowly and does not provide any problem messages; it simply gets stuck. Logging into the Backoffice for testing purposes causes a lot of trouble; it does not enable us to log in in one attempt, and the page refreshes every time we enter in the credentials.
SAP Commerce Cloud is highly suited for development and testing work on projects based on SAP Hybris commerce technology since the cloud-based solution overcomes numerous infrastructure and security challenges. Backoffice, HAC, and the SAP cloud site all contribute significantly to the project's development by enhancing efficiency and eliminating manual labor for all staff, giving them more time to engage in the creation of new functionality.

Altogether, it was proved that the application of SAP Commerce Cloud has significant positive effects on our marketing campaigns. SAP Commerce Cloud in general has, in my opinion, a major role to play for our marketing campaigns. A broad toolkit available has allowed us to experiment and iterate decisions rapidly using data that is present.
  • Provides analytics of the campaign, which enables the necessary changes to be made immediately.
  • Supports individual communications, as it helps to improve the overall satisfaction of customers and their loyalty to the company/brand.
  • Coordinates all the activities to maintain the free flow of data between different sectors in business to enhance efficiency.
Cons
  • For the initial configuration, one can expect it may take a considerable amount of time and even specialist knowledge.
  • Some of them are better suited for large business organizations, which may restrict the versatility of applications.
  • It may be resource intensive, which can be a problem for a smaller hosting environment for the platform.
One thing to mention is that we had a flash sale campaign that was monitored by SAP Commerce Cloud, where it was easy to adjust ad spend because all the data was available immediately, leading to an increase in conversion. Easy integration with other SAP products has made our work flow more organic; this, in turn, has given better efficiency across the team.
