We are using Sap hana cloud to deploy our sap based applications on cloud. It's in-memory database architecture is helping us to enrich user experience and speedier data processing. It is also helping us in massive parallel processing and to save our valuable time. It is one of the most reliable and secured environment for organization.
  • speedier data processing with in-memory database architecture
  • Massive parallel processing
  • Enrich user experience
  • Pricing
  • Integration with third party applications
As per my view it is suitable for medium or large scale organization having huge data processing requirements. Speedier data processing will definitely save their time and improve productivity. It will also help organization to enrich user experience.
It is not suitable for small organizations with limited capital because it will be costlier solution for them.

Critigen/Locana is a Systems Integrator who are experts in ArcGIS / S4 / ECC integration. We also make Lemur which is an SAP Endorsed app that integrates with SAP Asset Manager.
  • Data Integration
  • Multi-model processing
  • high speed DBMS capable of large data volumes
  • Data virtualization
  • It's not easy to get data out of the HANA platform
  • Tuning in edge cases is difficult
  • Some small missing features have to be worked around
It is the ideal place to put an ArcGIS geodatabase especially the utility network. This is due to the data federation and data virtualization capabilities. HANA Cloud's ability to execute queries at scale and speed is very, very good. With respect to HANA Cloud vs. HANA Enterprise (on-prem), the additional connectors provided with HANA Cloud at no additional charge make it straightforward to integrate HANA Cloud into hyperscalar's data meshes - like AWS. In a lot of ways, HANA Cloud is a better value than on-prem because it includes all of the options including SDA/SDI and the connectors

We have implemented Fiori apps on HANA cloud database. HANA cloud is a easy to use and easy to scale database where you can leverage existing HANA skill set resources to start small scale projects and grow bigger as per the need.
  • Easy to provision
  • Leverage existing resources
  • Speed is key
  • UI - I would like to see development, administrators, security to be combined in one easy to use UI. Cockpit is little complex to navigate
Excellent cloud database to start small and scale OnDemand

One feature that has been particularly beneficial for us is the machine learning capabilities. By automating some of our processes and improving the accuracy of our results, we've been able to improve our efficiency and productivity. The integration with other SAP products has made our operations much more streamlined and efficient. We can now easily access and share data across different departments, which has helped us collaborate more effectively and make better use of our resources.
  • Integration with other SAP products
  • Store and process large volumes of data
  • Enables informed decision making
  • Complexity of the interface
  • Lack of customization
  • Challenges with Data Integration
While SAP HANA Cloud is designed to integrate with other SAP products, we've found that integrating data from non-SAP sources can be difficult and time-consuming. This has made it challenging for us to get a complete view of our data across all of our systems. Specifically, I would like to see more customization options, a simpler user interface, and better integration with non-SAP systems.

With SAP HANA Cloud, we have been able to bring all our data sources to a single place. As a manufacturing organization, everyday have a lot of transactions involving customers, suppliers and internal business processes. We receive data from our customers, our suppliers and also from our manufacturing plants which are spread across the world. The entire supply chain data, right from customer order, MRP output, purchase orders, inbound and outbound logistics data is available for running the analytics needs of different business users. With SAP HANA Cloud, we are able to answer management questions and build dashboards which gives a real-time underatanding of how the business is performing.
  • Large amount of data is processed much faster
  • User friendly
  • ML engine which speeds up developing new solutions
  • Need to make it more "low code" so that business users can quickly learn on their own and drive their specific ad hoc analytics
For a large manufacturing organization which has high volume of inter-company movement of material, majority of the data has a source from the ERP. In our case, the ERP also was SAP, hence it was extremely easy to build your own analytics and ad-hoc requirements. For a small and medium business, which might running other cloud based ERP, there might other better solutions available in the market.

The software is used for varied purposes such as customer relationship management services, enterprise information, and performance management, supply chain insights, predicting customer preferences and demand projections to analyze inventory management, pricing strategies, and stock management for customer-preferred products. The software has been very helpful in the firm's growth and deliverables.

One of the details that piqued my interest when I first started working with SAP HASANA is that, no matter how beneficial this program is, it can be extremely difficult for small businesses that do not generate enough revenue to obtain and maintain it. To improve their results, they should, in my opinion, make changes to the HTML parser editor.

Sap is vastly used application in all organizations. Now since the cloud version has come up, the overall experience of the software engineer has become very handy. It is a modern tool addressing a lot of modern solutions using analytical and problem-solving to make the application more user-friendly. Using this application in my use case makes it more speedy in problem-solving.

Sap Hana is more of a cloud-based database. My experience on this site is storing data. Since using sap Hana, the data is highly secure as due to the inbuilt, highly secure performance. In place of problems solving ability, Sap Hana also is great then compared to other applications.

Our nationwide offices have been using SAP HANA Cloud as a real-time database. Our application's hybrid database architecture enables it to read and write data at unrivalled speeds. We also get in-memory compression technology, which can reduce the amount of storage needed by up to 8 times. Within the SAP HANA Cloud, the gathered data can be used for modelling and analysis.
  • pool of integrated data
  • Memory compression can reduce storage requirements by up to 8 times.
  • Outstanding remote data synchronisation
  • requiring extensive technical expertise to implement
  • Setting up SAPA HANA on-premises is highly expensive.
Enterprise-level applications that require real-time data reporting and processing are best suited for SAP HANA. Additionally, it works best for data lake storage and database compression. The largest datasets accessible today can be processed by SAP HANA using up to 50 servers. Small applications that do not require a real-time database are not appropriate for it.

Our use case was to have common database as a service platform or a tool for our enterprise data and applications. SAP HANA Cloud fulfills all our use cases. Also it does support our futuristic expansions and modern requirements. Few of the best use cases that are achieved using SAP HANA Cloud are highly scalable environment, zero production downtime, high processing speed and automation supported.
  • Highly scalable
  • Zero production downtime
  • High Processing speeds
  • Centralized Data management
  • Automation support
  • Should be more focused on automating the task across all services
SAP HANA cloud is the perfect choice for having a common platform to manage all your company enterprise database storing and processing. It also gives lot of flexibility towards hybrid deployments. Less likely inappropriate small company unless you are subjected to grow in upcoming one or two years. Otherwise, the platform is very good for all your enterprise database management.

The SAP HANA data modeling capabilities are amazing , but its so difficult to understand and get the meaning out of a data model due to the way the diagram is presented to the user . Also , If a user want to get the sql statements out of a data model its not a straight forward task at all. you may need to go through each step in the model and dig it deeper to understand the logic to generate a sql statement . Getting a sql statement automatically out a model really help during data migrations.
  • Data Modeling , Don't need a SQL expert to create models
  • Security
  • API intergerations
  • UI for better understanding of data models
  • product cost
  • Performance could have been better
The SAP HANA is tightly integrated with SAP application like CRM and ERP and the data handshakes between these applications are seamless. This one of the biggest advantage of having SAP HANA cloud . where as there are certain situations where the performance of HANA becomes a bottle neck for reporting as there are various data warehouse systems available in the market like redshift , Snowflake , which are more efficient in data management and build data warehouse systems.

SAP is very good product which helps to lot to resolving problems on quickly and quality.
And moreover it's very fastest growing intha all industries and market.
Most of the companies or industries are move to implement this SAP. Because now a days all the companies are looking for quick response with solution if the tha SAP is the best and suitable product to solve the issues on priority basis with quality manner.

  • Very quickly solution
  • Nothing to improve
  • We need to understand situation and solve because all the features have in the SAP
Which is to good to solve and development to bring new things in to the system. Based on the scope what they have relos and responsibilities they performed. SAP HANA is good ERP but compare with others.
Here only one thing is high cost to implement that SAP.except this remaining is all are too good

All tools are available in one place, including the cool SAPUI5 technology he knows from the on-premise case. All platform services like email server, content storage, cloud connector, and the use of any language that runs on JVM.Reuse the work done with MDF and access EC more deeply and flexibly via OData-based

Customers who are still using old legacy systems are recommended to transition to SAP HANA cloud to have business-ready information from a single solution while enabling security, privacy, and anonymization with proven enterprise reliability. A few more of the advantage it brings is On-demand self-service provisioning, Elastic scalability, Fully Managed by SAP, Consumption-based pricing, and Cloud Freedom.

Based on my exposure and experience with SAP HANA since 2016, would like to share the following personal perspective 1) Most of the organization have spent substantial budgets in rolling out an ERP solution and there after maintaining it 2)Many a time the solution implemented are heavily customized 3) Organizations are really scared to implement a change, especially if it forms the backbone of their operations and is spread across multiple user groups, geographies and business With the above points in mind, the best use cases I have seen are (as in sequence) propelling 1) Hardware refresh 2) If the implementation is more than 4-5 years old and the business operations have significantly grown since implementation. This would require a reimplementation 3) If the business is on expansion mode (across geos and products/services etc) and need an interconnected /(near)real time operational reporting 4)Demergers 5)wanting to kickstart a cloud journey for organization 6) Superb sales pitch complemented by an underutilized budget and an overzealous IT team (with hidden agenda of increasing their longevity in the organization
  • In-memory processing changes the name of the game for DB performance while enabling the storage
  • Data storage is enhanced due to better compression
  • Response time to complex queries are phenomenally better
  • Proactive monitoring enabled
  • Supports cloud platform integrations
  • Requires higher processing power, otherwise it won't fly. How ever computing costs are lower. Incase you are migrating to cloud please do not select the highest config available in that series . Upgrading it later against a reserved instance can cost you dearly with a series change
  • Lack of clarity on licensing is one major challenge
  • Unless S/4 with additional features are enabled mere migration HANA DB is not a rewarding journey. Power is in S/4
Mere migration to SAP HANA DB is not an overall rewarding exercise. However for one it can be rewarding exercise if 1) its an old existing system which would not want to migrate to S/4 directly but would like to take a least risky option of migrating in 2 phase which 4-5 years apart 2)Go for SAP HANA if you want improve technical performance but the organization is not yet ready to embrace a full-fledged change in business operations immediately

We used SAP HANA Cloud, is an operation that uses in- memory database technology to reuse veritably large quantities of real- time data from relational databases, both SAP andnon-SAP, in a veritably short time. The in- memory computing machine allows HANA to reuse data stored. It is good and fast.
  • Fast

  • Stable
  • It is already doing well
  • Need to reduce connectivity issues
