Reviews
(1-25 of 61)We are big fans of Litmos!
- Litmos provides an excellent course library
- Litmos makes it easy to automate user creation and assignments
- Litmos has an incredible team of technical support always available for questions
- Litmos could improve by allowing for managers to be able to see downline in their reporting heirarchy instead of just their direct reports
- Litmos could improve with a better way to search their content library with key words
No boring onboarding with Litmos
- Links are easy to copy and share
- Quizzes allow for interactive components
- Quick upload of videos to the platform
- Better, simpler dashboard
- Easier to search for company-owned trainings
- More granular (and easy to pull) analytics
Consumer Packaged Goods Producer
- Easy to copy, mirror or link courses depending on how the content should be connected between different use cases.
- Content authoring tool allows for nice content without too much trouble.
- Support success team is accessible and supportive.
- Account manager turnover creates trouble establishing strong and supportive relationships. The account managers are not technical support either.
- Technologically not intuitive. It takes months of time and practice to effectively administer content.
- No way to present material classroom style for larger training sessions.
Litmos is at the head of the class of LMS platforms
- Housing our growing library of home-grown training content
- Managing the sale and registration process for seats in our in-person classroom training sessions
- Content development of online curriculum, via the Litmos Content Author Tool
- The Content Author Tool is AMAZING. Team members with no formal learning and development training or background have been able to successfully build interactive and engaging eLearning courses without the need for an outside application (or a separate expensive license fee).
- It is a very user-friendly LMS platform. The learning curve for users, and for administrators and/or eLearning developers/designers is low, in comparison to many other platforms.
- There are so many valuable integrations within Litmos, from Shopify to Box to Zoom, and more. It allows us to leverage many of the applications our business already uses to develop and deliver training content.
- I generally feel that any challenges I experience are due to the vast flexibility the platform has. My gut tells me that my minor issues are actually a result of certain functionality needing to be there to meet the needs of other customers, and it's not Litmos' fault that my specific workflow doesn't fit exactly into their functionality. It's a matter of me determining how I can update my workflow to fit the feature set.
- Tracks course completion
- Our current rep, Hillary Suriel has been a great resource for us
- Easier reporting engine
- Better ADP API/Integrations - we have had a problem with ours since day 1
- The onboarding process for new admins to be more streamlined with mentors, agendas created and following a certain plan. We do not feel like we were set up for success and only had major issues when setting up our current LMS (Dec 2022-Apr 2023)
It has been a struggle every step of the way to get our system up and running, and we are often having to do manual input and tracking because the ADP connector has had issues from the beginning. Putting in Litmos support tickets has not been particularly helpful in this area.
Clean entrance into the LMS opportunity, and solid ROI, from a small business / BCorp.'s perspective
- Over 2,500 unique learning content / classes available off the shelf
- Intuitive user experience
- Integration with our HRIS
- Gamification available
- Access to our external partners and customers
- Perhaps a bit more clarity, after implementation, on the types / channels for support
- Maybe a bit more guidance from our account executive, on a bit of "road map" for new users, and their 1-3 month checklists etc. etc.
- Clearly identifying the expected turnaround times for support issues
User Friendly
- User Friendly - it easy to use as the account owner and the learner.
- Litmos Dojo - the trainings in there are very helpful.
- Customizable - you can add your own features/logo/etc.
- Course Creation Tool - it isn't up to par with other course creation tools.
A heavily customisable, feature rich LMS
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript customisation - make it look and function how you want
- Compliance learning and annual retakes
- Administration of learners, teams and managers
- Basic UI. If you don't have the ability to customise, I feel this is an area that could be improved.
- Automatically add managers to notifications (not just escalations). I'd like to tell managers about the good stuff, not just the bad.
- Reporting dashboards are currently quite basic so we're building a PowerApp to create more transparency across the business. It would be much better if this was in the Litmos app instead.
Themes to get people started would be a great idea e.g. light mode vs dark mode, different colours etc... The vanilla LMS could do with a UI makeover - global search from homepage, dynamic dashboards...
10/10 Service and Customer Expirence
- Easy to set up
- Easy how to documentation
- Communicate with customers
- Learner/Learner Record management
- Assembling Modules, Courses, Learning Paths, and Collections
- Most reporting in the custom Reporting Engine
- Custom Roles is desperately needed--this is a critical function for our organization
- More options in some of the advanced reporting (which Teams Learners are on instead of # of Teams they're on)
- Better change management/change logs to document which specific features/items/flaws/bugs were fixed/changed/deprecated
Litmos is a participation-based educational platform, not to be confused with a product knowledge/product info app and as such, the platform requires a great deal more management and organization than inputting data for quick knowledge bites on a product. Additionally, Litmos is not comparable to AI, which is an apples-to-goats comparison. They serve two entirely different functions in their current state.
Litmos is less suited for organizations who have strong requirements for a larger number of custom roles working in the platform. The available roles are cookie-cutter roles that don't always fit our needs which means a choice between security/data integrity compromise in some cases, or disallowing individuals certain access rights because they come with the cookie cutter role.
A great learning management system!
- Reporting
- Hosting / Creating Content
- Large variety of course topics that are shared
- Monitoring / Tracking functions
- User interface
- Costs
- Creating specific reports can be harder to do
Litmos a is a great and easy to learn platform
- 508
- easy to manage
- easy to create reports
- when courses are updated, it's tricky to know if you are seeing the new version or the old one
- the help and support has been confusing
- Team creation and management
- Course creation and simple interactive content creation
- Course assignment and libraries
- No easy method for posting recordings of live training sessions
- Searching is rough — often exact titles are needed
- Limited options for displaying course information to learners
- Limited surveying ability across all courses or live trainings
- 30-day limit in a lot of reports
Litmos is a good Learning Management System
Using Litmos, we conducted Online Learning Programs for all employees & this tool helped our Organization track progress made by each department via Reports. These trainings directly helped our business to offer better customer experience which resulted in increase Sales & a solid ROI for our dollar amount spent on purchasing Litmos.
- Online Learning Platform
- Quizzes
- Reporting
- Ease of use & Better UI
- Simpler Reporting
- Price
Litmos can improve on: having a simple UI & ability to customize deeper with more interactive quizzes
Litmos, the LIT LMS!
- Always providing a platform when needed or even when on the go.
- Fantastic User Interface and User Experience! Easy for both instructors and learners.
- The team grouping feature was also a plus for our organization. Simple to handle tasks in teams.
- Top-notch courses to choose from especially in the field of IT
- Nothing
Litmos? Yes, please!
- Present content
- Play our content
- House our content
- Many "add on" features cost extra
- Support is often hit or miss
- We experience issues with many of the updates
Litmos Lights Up Learning
- Full encryption for secure company information
- Real-time monitoring of trainees progress.
- Flexibility and Simplicity
- Customization
- Limited integration options
- Cost
A training system you won't regret trying out
- Pre-generated content related to compliance and management
- Full encryption so our company secrets stay just that, a secret
- Accessible around the clock as well as for those who speak different languages.
- I'd like to see additional off-the-shelf content as it's a lot of work for teams to go in and produce high quality content
- The initial setup stage can take quite a while and involves creating a lot of content
- Pricing can be more than other companies
Product has some good features but support is lacking
- Creating content is relatively easy
- Support pages are much too complicated
- Support page needs to be designed for one product, not every product
- I would like a representative to whom I could ask simple questions without going thru support tickets
- They eliminated our own onboarding person to help understand the program when we purchased it so I have to research every question I have--a real time waster
My experience with SAP Litmos
- Hosting of the courses/Content
- Dashboard and reports to track the training process
- Off the self pre-recorded training videos
- Learning path creation and course asssignments
- Notification and completion certificates
- Assessment and exam creation
- Dashboards can be further enhanced
- High level of customization
- Flat file data movement
- Comprehensive set of training tools
- Offers a variety of training resources to meet the needs of our diverse workforce
- Provides incentives for completion of training, including rewards and tracking
- We have had some (rare) issues with employees' progress being lost as they complete training tasks
- Customer service still needs work--hard to find dedicated user support
- Technical resolution is not great--we've reported issues with no apparent response
Easy to use tool to create, curate and publish content!
- Simple content author tools.
- Personalised emails and user experience for learners.
- Custom branding/white lables
- Ability to send reminder emails to people you want to sign up for a workshop/session.
- Configuring timed release courses in the learning pathway is a bit clunky and hard to use with compliance courses.
We love Lenny!
We use it internally for approximately 500 users across the globe. We are primarily bilingual in our internal users (English and French). We had previously utilized Cornerstone as our LMS, and we did not have a good experience. Our primary use case for SAP Litmos was finding a system that was easy to use. 60% of our employees work in productio. They do not have computers or time to spend on them. We needed software that was sophisticated enough to release our L&D plan successfully but something very intuitive.
We plan to use it externally for approximately 500 users across the globe. This launch has been delayed due to internal planning, but we will release it to our distributors and sub-employees at the end of this year. We needed a system that was multi-lingual and allowed us to sell our own content to users as part of our business plan.
Overall, we needed a system that would allow for a 'virtual wall' between several groups of users.
- Administrative functions - ease of use and ability to move across the system
- SAP content (more specifically, the cartoon learning pack produced out of the UK)
- SAP Litmos itself provides good customer service - the move to SAP did not lead to this
- Hierarchy and team assignment rules
- Course creation and upload
- Integrations of with many different platforms we use
- Lightheartedness - we love Lenny! We wish there was a way we could incorporate Lenny into our own learning offerings
- Coming back from SAP, I'd like to see the ability to call in to resolve issues with technical support and a much easier ticketing system.
- Platform - we need to hire a web developer every time we want to make changes to our system. It should be easier to make smaller custom changes, we have spent a lot of time reviewing custom coding documentation provided by SAP Litmos, but we don't have time for this. I want to see more widget functionality and the ability for admins to program the system themselves without an IT background, more specifically, CSS knowledge.
- Evaluation questions - we use Articulate to build our custom content, and the ease of use for building evaluations is amazing. When we move over to using SAP Litmos to build evaluations directly into the course (not using the content author), we wish there was more functionality in ways we could test users.
- Duplicate users - because of ADP (not SAP Litmos), the integration takes so long to bring new users over that we often have to input new users into the system manually, and then we end up with duplicate users once someone is added to our Payroll in ADP. This is entirely frustrating and a waste of time for admins who have to combine all onboarding records manually - this is a function I had on absorb 10 years ago.
- Equivalent Courses - I wish there was a way to make this more clear to users. They are often confused and think they have to complete both, no matter how many times we explicitly tell them. This becomes even more challenging when we have users with different languages, and the first course they see is not in their native language, and they don't know what to do.
- Allow for the ability to hide 'continue this learning path' as an admin function instead of it having to be coded. We can do this with 'continue this course' but not the learning path - we want to turn this off for all users; they often get frustrated with this.
- While you push custom SAP content, and we have it, the reality is that we also offer a lot of external learning - including a lot of learning we pay for in terms of our benefit plans - there is nothing SAP Litmos can do to compete with this. I wish the system could be more friendly towards linking to external learning and tracking it. It doesn't look nice to have to click several times to get to our benefit partners' learning, and often confusing for the learner.
- The integrations for live video conferencing don't exactly work well. The functionality often leads to frustration, and we've actually gone to entirely leading webinars outside of SAP Litmos due to ongoing technical issues for our users (we've used GoToWebinar, Zoom, and Teams).
It is less appropriate when you want to highly customize your learning without having to pay a web designer a huge amount of money every time you want to make changes.
Litmos has been our choice for 7 years
- User friendly
- Highly customizable
- Good customer support
- Mobile Platform Could Use Improvement for Managers
- You have to pay extra for some features that should probably be included in standard rate
- SAP Litmos' video training resources are of exceptional quality.
- Its ability to assign scores and marks to Litmos-created examinations makes it useful for evaluating staff learning.
- The app may need to be updated from time to time to run smoothly, which can cause delays.
