This is out Learning Management System to train new hires on compliance courses and also use it for specific focused training for things such as phlebotomy, medical assistants, etc. There are compliance courses thru SAP Litmos that are done In Person during onboarding but there is no way to incorporate them as inperson class that shows them as complete. Each one has to be individually marked as complete. If there is a solution, there really is no one to ask as their support is not helpful to our needs. Rather than have a conversation it is all thru a ticket and they often direct you to their videos or material which doesn't help work out a solution. We were two months into setting up the LMS for the company, and I was still learning the program with the assistance of the sales person. Their reorganization changed all support to online or their videos and written material which is extremely difficult when you are setting up a brand new program. Every question still has to be sent thru support since there are no actual people to talk to. Their support pages are the most confusing and frustrating help tickets I have ever dealt with. Even today, I got an email about new features and can not find the page that will list all of the new courses. Every support page has you choose among the numerous products--and SAP Litmos never seems to be listed or if it is, it has a different term for it. If I knew this when we invested the money to purchase Litmos, we would have gone to another LMS program.
  • Creating content is relatively easy
  • Support pages are much too complicated
  • Support page needs to be designed for one product, not every product
  • I would like a representative to whom I could ask simple questions without going thru support tickets
  • They eliminated our own onboarding person to help understand the program when we purchased it so I have to research every question I have--a real time waster
The content is very good and very diverse. That is what sold us on the program. However, support in incorporating this into our organization was dropped in their reorganization; thus, they get a 1 on recommendation. I had to teach myself everything--I did not have a Litmos partner to help me work with the aspects of the LMS and make it work for our company.

  • Easier to track compliance completion and reminders
  • Reporting is clumsy if you need to customize the reporting
  • Easy to see if users have completed required courses
  • Can not seem to get a report of previous year's completion of compliance
We purchased SAP Litmos because of the learning content it offered. However the implementation was extremely difficult because it all fell on me--there was no partner to help me through it and set it up the best way for our organization. Therefore, there are still things I feel are not done in the easiest manner.
Some things are easy--creating course content, but there are issues that users ask me that I don't understand, such as multiple emails saying they need to complete a course but they completed it before it was actually due. My managers have a difficult time figuring out how to assign items. I have a difficult time creating custom reports. The standard reports are fine.
Because SAP took away the person working with us to implement the program, I had to learn and try everything by myself which is why I don't believe I use the program in the best manner possible for my organization. Basically they had no implementation after their reorganization.
Turning it on was one thing, setting it up for staff use was difficult without a person to turn to. Basically I had to teach myself everything since there was no person to walk me through implementation. There is still no one person to turn to.
If I could give it a negative rating I would. Worst support from any program I have had. Everything is back and forth in the support ticket. The one time I tried to chat they could not support the question. Their support page is so full of sections and products I can never find anything I need, even with a customized home page. I was hopeful that once they left SAP support might improve but it has not. I don't even know who my account executive is. Nobody has ever reached out to me. I need someone to guide me through best practices for our company and there is nobody to do that.
I appreciate new releases, but today I could not even find the page that showed the new release features. Every time I use any of their support pages I feel nothing but frustration.
Yes, it is easier to make sure learners are doing assignments and easier for managers to see their progress.

The content Litmos supplies is very good, which was a major reason for our decision. The price was competitive. When we purchased it I did have a sales representative who was helping with implementation but due to reorganization, she was terminated with no replacement or outreach within 2 months. I had hardly started learning the system.
I would never have purchased this product if I knew support was only ticket based with no verbal interaction and no implementation specialist to help customize this program.
I don't know anything about premium support--never heard of it before.
Yes
Yes, they did advise me when it was going to be fixed in a release and it did get fixed.
No, there has never been a time where I feel there has been exceptional support.

SAP Litmos is used as a learning management system. There are multiple use cases like HR training, onboarding training and other technical training. SAP Litmos is also helping to host our pre-recorded training videos and to create a learning path for role-based competency matrix. At an executive level it provides multiple dashboards and reports to track the progress of the employees learning. All the classroom training is tracked through VILT/ILT options.
  • Hosting of the courses/Content
  • Dashboard and reports to track the training process
  • Off the self pre-recorded training videos
  • Learning path creation and course asssignments
  • Notification and completion certificates
  • Assessment and exam creation
  • Dashboards can be further enhanced
  • High level of customization
  • Flat file data movement
SAP Litmos is best suited for the below scenarios: 1. HR trainings 2. IT/Security Compliance trainings 3. Sales and service staff trainings 4. Employee onboarding related trainings. It is less suited for cases where there is heavy customization needed and lots of performance metrics have to be integrated between HCM and LMS platform.

  • Increased Employee retentions and engagement
  • Easy to onboard
  • Less dependency on IT team
  • No infra setup needed
Teachable is best suited for the individual trainer while SAP Litmos is more kind of enterprise LMS. It has many functionalities needed for any LMS platform.
SAP Litmos is best for the organization's learning and development team. it provides various ready-to-use connectors to integrate with different systems like HCM, ecommerce etc.
Best part about SAP Litmos is it very easy to set up or implement. In a few weeks the whole system can be setup and ready to use.
Litmos is meant for plug and play saas solution, one can spin the production environment in few weeks unless any custom integrations required.
Fast to implement.
Litmos is now moved out of SAP. Need to wait watch to see the overall support experience
Litmos is innovating and improving on daily basis. They listen to the customer feedback and also proactively working on much needed features,
I was a must awaited needed solution for our client.

We needed to find an LMS to host the content for our users. Content that is facing Customers, Partners, and even company employees. Instead of using Google Drive, Zendesk, High Spot, and other platforms we wanted a single place to host all the relevant content to those groups. Sure, we manage to create a hierarchy and distinguish content so Partners and Customers will see similar and different content. We also use the LMS as an onboarding track for our departments, R&D, Customer Support, Professional Services, and more. Easy to track, easy to use, and good report mechanisms, We also use it as our training platform for our product and deliver Instructor Led certification courses. We send Zoom invites through the system to users' calendars, and users who pass the exams can download a soft copy of the certificate.
  • Good Reporting mechanism
  • Certificate Generation
  • User Tracking
  • The reporting mechanism is OK - but can be better. highly complex - with some bugs that are still under investigation.
  • changes in the platform that are done periodically - should not break the user's portal as it happens several times.
  • SAP Litmos Ideas is OK, equivalent for Feature request, functionality wise, I would recommend adding Video Speed control, Adding the undo action for users deletion, learning path inside learning path, questions in exams to be with more options like in other vendors, and question numbering (which is very basic).
I brought this system to the company and used it as a user in my previous company. I know the bits and the bytes for the system, I spent more hours in it daily than any other user in the company. I added content to it from scratch, customized it from the ground, onboarded people to it, and tracked everything on it - it is kinda like my baby. To be in a position where the LMS can serve in production, you should invest time in shaping and sharpening it to have the assistance of the Dev team. Some areas, like modules & checkboxes, are with limited functionality, as well as clicking on links with HTTPS and "leaving" the LMS to the external site. Yes, some vendors do this stuff differently, but it is a trade-off. I would still use this system.

  • During the time of the pandemic, when we could not deliver face-to-face training, this platform became our new way to deliver Remote Instructor Led Training. this actually saved the business, reduce the cost of flights and hotels, and classrooms, and also we were able to keep on selling the ILT courses and the system ROI was quick.
there are pros and cons for every system
I truly know the system better than anyone else in this company - I know what this system can and cannot do. It shapes the lives of people in this organization on so many levels. even Executives use it - that says a lot.
SaaS service is so easy. Granted with Portal to Play with - that is it
Go to live is simple, just needed to publish the URL to users,
The value is immediate
Amazing support - I opened many cases in the past, like any other software it is not bugs free - but folks there always kind and polite and do their best to assist.
Not too much.
We keep on growing any day. users sending feedbacks and rating on the courses content, suggestion for improvement - nothing like good UX.

Yes, I had to make an integration with a 3rd party IDP, I had a ticket with them that was assigned to a user at a different timezone, I called support, and they took responsibility and moved the ticket to someone else who can assist right away when I had the IDP on the line with them. amazing and kinda stressful experience!

SAP Litmos was purchased in order to replace the combination of an aging LMS and a mixture of home-grown options. Several locations were using their own combination of resources. There was no unified repository of learning material, nor was there a single location from which to draw upon or audit training records. The thought was that by finding a single platform we could reduce costs and migrate training records into a single electronic location.
  • Presents nearly every media type I have (Word, PowerPoint, PDF, Images, Audio, Video, Embedded Websites, etc.).
  • Allows me to handle registration, attendance, and results of instructor led training we aren't presenting through Litmos.
  • Gives me a decent tool to create my own SCORM training materials within Litmos.
  • Gives me tools to automate grouping of personnel and assignment of courses.
  • Auto Assign Feature still does not automate the unassignment when the rules for assignment are no longer true (e.g. moving from hourly to salary adds the user to salary but does not remove them from hourly). To their credit they are working on some ways to do this, such as where items are 1:1 (e.g. If pay type = Hourly, then remove Salary and add Hourly), but not so much where there are multiple variables.
  • Support is lacking. The knowledgebase is extremely generic and has yet to address any of the issues I'm having. Emailing the support team works for generic issues, but if your implementation has any APIs, customizations, etc., you're going to have to explain yourself at least twice in an email exchange before they route your issue to someone familiar with your implementation. This is not exclusive to Litmos, but it does exist here.
  • Migrating content from the development sandbox to production is cumbersome due to the "find and select" method of choosing courses to migrate. The search box starts by text order, so keyword searches don't work. You have to know the characters of your file exactly as they appear and there is a limit on the number of characters you can use before search will not function. These limitations cause unnecessary delays.
  • The search tool is not very good. It takes some finesse to find what you're looking for unless you know the exact title. Lots of false positive matches as well. Not sure where some of these results come from.
Litmos is the best bang for the buck, especially when you do not have a full web-development team to create attractive learning materials. The tools are extremely simple to use, and you can utilize existing training materials you have in this system with little to no loss. Migrating historical records is a snap and system integrations is possible with most other systems. The tool is very powerful without being so complex that no one can use it. It does everything we need it to do, and the few issues we have with the system, Litmos is actively working to improve. They actually listen to their customers.

  • Reduced training costs.
  • Simplified/consolidated record keeping.
  • Easy to audit for compliance/legal/external.
  • Increased employee use.
  • Paper reduction.
  • Unified LMS.
We had home-grown solutions and niche content presentation tools. They did a decent enough job, but they were dated and maintaining the home-grown systems was cumbersome. What's more, none of the systems were connected to one another or to central HR, which means duplication of effort and lack of knowledge sharing was costing us in time and money. Litmos offered us a chance to get a modern interface, unify our efforts, and reduce our overall costs. This company was hungry to do things right for its customers, and we were sold on their "get it done right" philosophy. The investment has paid itself back.
Nothing is perfect. There is always room for improvement (especially auto assign and reporting), but the system itself is a dream for users. If a user can navigate the web, they can use Litmos.
Do your best to use the out of the box features. You will have plenty of ways to configure your implementation without crossing over into custom coding. This is a powerful system. Tell them what you need it to do and let them show you how it already does that out of the box.
Simple actually. They met their timeline and delivered everything they agreed to provide.
This is by far the best LMS product I've used to-date. The price was not the lowest on the market, but certainly has provided value equal to what we paid. The implementation and rollout was handled with fantastic efficiency. We didn't waste time with costly "re-do" or a creeping scope. Everything was clear from the beginning for both sides of the table, and it showed in the implementation.
The knowledgebase is very generic, so beyond some basic, "this is how you use Litmos", I am not super impressed with the self-service options for troubleshooting issues or finding best practices from peers. Getting a response from specialists also takes a great deal of effort. The initial ticket is almost never where my answer comes from, so I have to wait on the escalation to take place, and usually that goes to an account specialist. Once I get that, there is usually a back and forth before we agree on what the issue is. Service is always courteous, but not efficient. I am never sure where my ticket stands with regard to escalation/processing, so I have to inquire. Service tickets and service are not a clean process right now, at least not for me. Nothing like it was during our implementation.
This is a strong suit for them. They communicate well in advance what their release dates and content are. They have a webinar to discuss the new features and provide a rap sheet so you can distribute the update information to stakeholders. On top of the great communication, the innovations and improvements are wonderful. This is what endeared Litmos to me from the beginning: they listen to their customers and try to deliver a product that is meeting our needs. They aren't building a car with 200 cupholders when we only need 4. They look at the suggestions made by the customers and, similar to Microsoft, they put them in the open forum so peers can vote or comment. This is giving us as customers the ability to see potential features as well as share common pain-points that the system can resolve for us. When features are getting traction, Litmos tells us if they are developing a solution or not. When they can give a release timeframe they do this as well. When they are not offering a change, they usually tell us why.
I started with an implementation at the corporate level, with plans to roll to manufacturing facilities one at a time. COVID slowed that process, but the demand for implementation at all facilities has grown steadily month over month. I believe this is because the corporate employees are benefitting from Litmos and are sharing the tool in meetings, which generates more interest. My project calendar is booked with implementations.
