SAP Lumira - A Useful Tool for Graphical Analysis and Reporting
- Microsoft Excel
In India, users are already using this product and have got adapted to it. It's tough because it is not as beneficial as Lumira, but to bring a change in an Indian company is hard to implement.

Great Visualisations
SAP BusinessObjects Lumira is a more powerful program that lets us create better visualisations than other options that were considered. We were happier with the results we were able to get with Lumira than with other programs that we used in the past.

Enhance the Impact of Your Reports with Lumira
We chose SAP Business Objects Lumira versus other options mainly because we trust the vendor and have had good experiences with their software and customer service in the past. We found that the other software that we considered offered similar capabilities, and from past experience bugs can be an issue so we put a big emphasis on the support we would receive as part of our purchase decision.

SAP BusinessObjects Lumira Is the Thing!
I selected SAP BusinessObjects Lumira because of the company's great reputation in the industry, where it is well-recognized and respected by many. Of course, the programme did its job well during my work stint and has greatly benefited my organization in a way that translates to cost savings. Lastly, it is easy to use and presentable.

SAP BusinessObjects Lumira (From outside of a SAP ecosystem)
I used SAP BusinessObjects Lumira while consulting with a company that had existing licenses. While I'm not normally a big SAP fan, I was blown away by this product.
I think the only real reason to select SAP BusinessObjects Lumira over the others listed above at the moment would be due to the integration with the rest of the SAP stack, whether that is the current level of integration or the future level that is expected. On all other fronts it does not yet compete successfully.

Great for Extracting and Visualizing Massive Data
It looks like Lumira is inferior in terms of utilizing ZIP mapping.
This product was just easier to use in general. I didn't have to spend time hunting for data or waste time setting up a visualization like I have had to do with other products I have used in the past. As to why we chose it, that decision was not up to me, that decision was made at a higher level.

Both have the same way of filtering out data. Lumira has more options when it comes to creating reports to represent that data.

Lumira as a Data Exploration tool
Both Tableau and QlikView score very highly in end user experience and visualisation development compared to Lumira. However the integration of Lumira with existing Universes you may have or cost implications if you have a SAP BI Suite licence can help shift the preference into Lumira's favour. All three can sit along side a larger BI solution like SAP BI or Cognos.

When compared to other tools our approach is towards the self-servicing rather development that grabbed out attention towards SAP Lumira. also has more scope of maturity as a Self-Service BI.
