The most important factor in our decision was probably the pricing in relation to the performance and storage size. It was considerably less expensive than the alternatives.

Price is the main reason we went with Scale Computing. As a mid sized school we are right on the bottom edge of needing a hyper converged option. Scale was way cheaper than other big name options and delivered on many if not all of the same features. Best of all I was able to ditch VMware.

One IT member had some prior experience with Scale and it came highly recommended by him. We looked into it and decided to pull the trigger and we are more then happy with the decision. There is no regret to make the switch to Scale Computing for our Server needs.

Hyperconvergence was relatively new in the legal industry. The attraction was the simplicity of operation, reduction in footprint and ultimately an ROI of 18 months. The sales experience was very relaxed and provided me with great confidence in the products abilities. Third party reviews were available, and the fact that the sales engineer was a previous scale computing client spoke volumes.

While price is always a factor in purchasing any solution, we were more interested in the features and reputation of this company. WE did research into Scale and it's background and product reviews were positive, The features of an all in one solution to replace 3 existing technologies was instrumental in our decision to purchase this solution.
