There was an occasion when I needed to install 2 Windows 2022 Server Domain Controllers on Scale Servers. After doing that those VMs were extremely slow and I thought it could be something with my installation, so I deleted those and created 2 new ones, but still had that huge performance gap. Then, I contacted Scale support and told them about what I was experiencing and they quickly told me that this was probably because I'd need a custom Windows 2022 driver for the VMs to work with that OS. They sent me the file and everything worked.

We had noticied that the HC3 System Usage was about 30 Gb of RAM for each node, we oppenned a ticket with Scale Computing Platform support team to ask what could be causing this issue, they advised us to update the software. However, the memory consumption did not decrease. After that, Scale Computing Platform team assisted us in evacuating the nodes and restarting them to make the upgrade take effect. After performing this operation, the memory consumption dropped to 13 GB.

we had a deployment recently where no matter what we did, the cluster would not initialize. With the Lenovo-based servers, we had xClarity access (console) for the techs to connect and investigate. After a couple of hours of testing, the engineer found that there were files that needed to be removed that shouldn't have been there (From factory). though it took time, the resolution was immediate once the fix was found. the support team never looked for a reason to push blame to us, and took ownership of the problem immediately.

Scale Computing's support is top notch! Hands down, one of the best companies I have ever worked with, from a support perspective. I cant remember a time when I was connected with a technician that was not thoroughly knowledgeable on their platform. Each time I have called, the issue was resolved in minutes. There was only one time when I called and was connected with an operator, most likely from a third party, who didnt really know the product. After I was connected to an actual technician, all was well again

I have limited interaction with their support because it isn't required. Once during a firmware update it locked (weeknight at approx 11PM). They answered quickly and worked with me not only to get passed the issue that occurred but through the rest of the upgrade to make sure I didn't have additional problems. Above and beyond.

There have been a few occasions I've needed to call support. One time in particular, one of the hard drives died. I contacted support and had a replacement the next day and in the process no data was close to being lost due to their platform's duplication methods.

We had 1 situation where a drive failed in a very unusual way, and the Scale system wouldn't let go of or allow us to replace the drive safely via our interface. Scale worked on the problem and crossshipped the replacement drive in one sequence. There was no delay. Scale understood the requirement of stability and uptime and made sure we stayed online. We have had zero downtime, apart from plant power failures which has nothing to do with Scale.

I have had very few problems with any of our HC3 clusters. On one occasion however, we updated our main cluster and DR cluster and this caused a few of our VM's to have errors that I was unfamiliar with. I called in to open a support case and the knowledgeable support staff at Scale knew exactly what to do and had the clusters back to normal in no time.

Every time. I have had no failures in hardware or software. The times I needed to contact support were for things that only support can do such as initiate an update outside of the current release path or access deeper logs.

When we initiated the rollout, there was one issue in the way we configured one of the scale devices. We were having issues getting the two stacks to link up and Scale came in and found the error in the setup config within 20 minutes. They really know what they are looking for and how to find it.

When I was having issues migrating from XenServer, they stayed on the phone with me for hours helping me figure out what was causing the errors on the import. They pointed me in the right direction and together we made a step by step walkthrough on this process.

Anytime I've opened a ticket with Scale, including non-critical, they've been quick to reply. In one particular incident, we had a drive failure shortly after deployment. They promptly sent us a new drive and instructions on how to replace the drive. It was very straightforward, but they also offered to guide me through the process. They have always been courteous with each of my support requests.

During the initial setup we had many questions which were answered within minutes. Not only did I not have to wait long for an answer, but they followed up with a phone call to make sure that everything went smoothly.

Have only had to call support a handful of times over the years and every single time the support staff have either fixed the issue immediately or explained exactly what I needed to know. Professional and courteous through and through. My experience with Scale has been nothing less than fantastic.

We originally had Scale nodes it 2 different offices. When the smaller office closed, we brought those back to the main office for incorporation into our main cluster. Scale's assistance with this effort made it a simple task. .

During COVID we have really exercised our use of the 5 clusters in production, especially for VDI deployments, and this led to some performance overhead.

Scale support "dialed in" using the built in "user initiated dial out only" support channel to run performance tests and were able to provide practical advice including an upgrade to the cluster software that would fix a Windows 10 vCPU performance issue.

They did a through job and the subsequent upgrade; also easy; produced the results we were looking for in returning the performance levels to where they needed to be

We have only had to use SCALE for a couple of support questions, but they were strictly on the migration of old servers to this platform. Although the issue was not necessarily with their system, they were eager to help us out, and rectified the problem quickly. They wanted to ensure we were happy with everything. We were!
