Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Scale is obviously well-suited for SMB / SME environments. Larger environments will likely find a reduced need for dedicated storage admins or VM specialists in-house. Environments that rely on SDN or very complex VLANs may find Scale's networking to be somewhat limited.

Getting rid of our old environment and not having to pay for extended warranties and all the additional licensing that come with a virtual environment. I have to say our experience has been amazing so far. The support has been responsive and immediate with the handful of calls we have made due to questions and not issues. Updates are easy and seamless and downtime has been nonexistent. We were looking for a solution that would just work for us as we have limited resources in our IT department to dedicate to manage these systems. I will say Scale was the right choice for us, and the price was attractive as well!

I think in small business scenarios where the amount of servers is small and not quite as much granular access to the VM's and datastore is required, this solution meets the business needs quite well and is a great bang for the buck.

In large enterprise scenarios where there are higher volumes of VM's and greater details regarding VM's, resources and datastores are needed this solution is probably not the best fit.

If you have a small team, or even a large team, that does not use the advanced features of VMware, or may not be able to dedicate a resource to managing the VMware environment Scale Computing HC3 is great for you.

This is by far the greatest bang for our buck we could find. The prices we were presented with during the purchasing process (Comparing VMware, Hyper-V, and Scale) placed Scale at just over HALF the cost of a VMware solution, and significantly cheaper than a Hyper-V solution.

Any business with greater than average amount of servers or remote desktops would be an excellent opportunity for deployment of the Scale Computing HC3. Small businesses with one or 2 servers, in my opinion, would not enjoy the benefits that the Scale platform affords.

For small and medium businesses it's hard to beat. It's very simple to install, move you're VMs to, and manage. You have computing, storage, and backups/replication all in 1 blade/cluster. I can see it being a bit of a challenge in larger corporations due to the lack of some advanced features provided by VMware and others.

If you are a small to medium-sized business that wants a dead simple, redundant setup for a VM environment, then Scale is great. The fact that you can drop in a new node at any time to grow the cluster is great. If you are a larger organization that requires more advanced or exotic hyper-visor settings, then Scale may not be for you.

We have had instances where an emergency replication if a virtual machine was needed. Previously, this took hours. With the Scale platform, it now takes minutes. The ability to clone, then rename virtual machines is awesome for testing new strategies and processes.

SMB virtual infrastructure, look no further. Scale is hands-down the best in show for this space. Forget expensive VMWare deployments and scouring communities for solutions, Scale support is worth every penny.

The only scenario that would be inappropriate for Scale would be in businesses with a very small number of servers, or with no desire to virtualize. Scale is my preferred virtualization environment for any other scenario.

Scale is great for those who need a simple way to manage their servers without jumping through a lot of hoops or spending weeks or months to get trained on how to use it. It just works and doesn't require you to babysit it to make sure it's doing what it's supposed to.

I can't speak to large businesses because I'm not familiar with their technology needs, but for any small or medium business with servers and storage on-premises, Scale Computing HC3 is a scalable HCI platform that's cost-effective and easy to manage and maintain. Especially for businesses with limited tech staff, Scale Computing HC3 is a game changer, freeing up valuable time to focus on higher-level projects.

Expectation for IT is high regardless of whether you have a full deck or a one-man crew and I fall under the latter category. Having a HC3 solution allows me to focus on other IT services like application development, ERP management, helpdesk, even website management without worrying much about the state and performance of your servers. The system is just solid and reliable. Of course, I have just entered the first year of its commission but based on what I've seen so far, I believe that I have the best system that helps in delivery of IT services for the company.

If I were to sum up my experience after I implemented Scale Computing HC3, I would say that I sleep much better than before I had it.

Scale Computing HC3 is well suited for small or medium organizations that require one management interface with everything integrated from a server-storage perspective. Small IT has a challenge learning and managing so much these days that having a centralized dashboard to deep dive into that infrastructure is very important.

Scale is a relatively inexpensive hyper converged solution that is very simple and easy to use. Although the simplicity is it's strongest advantage it is also makes it hard to see how much VM's are being used and how to get the most out of the system.

Scale Computing HC3 is well suited due to its ease of use and cost per GB. It works well for big storage, some legacy systems, and DR backup and recovery.

It is not well suited for file-based recovery, import, performance (SSD/HDD version), SSD cache management/full, too few CPUs and RAM per unit when compared to the amount of storage available.

For a company the size of ours, the Scale Computing HC3 system fits very well. We do not have a large IT staff and ease of management of the system means that we have time to use on other tasks. Another big plus is that management tasks are very intuitive and when I've needed assistance, I was able to find what I've needed from their knowledge base.

In our mid size school it is a good fit. It was a little more expensive than I originally wanted, but it makes up for it with features and ease of use. I think it would scale up nicely to meet a larger storage, and compute need than ours. On the downside I think we are about as small as we could go with the product. If you are a smaller entity than what we are you will struggle finding a solution with Scale to fit your need.
