I use SeekOut primarily to source for candidates who are not direct applicants. My top use of SeekOut is searching for diverse candidates.
  • Ease of use especially with keyword/boolean search field
  • I like that it connects with LinkedIn to view their profiles
  • Diversity sourcing option + power filters
  • Email pulling feature - love that I can email directly instead of hoping they see an immail
  • Loading results can be kind of slow when entering in a filter
  • Making sure their most recent role is reflected from the first view on SeekOut - sometimes when I click their linkedin they're already in a different role than what's listed.
Great for sourcing candidates and saving them for future pipelines with the project feature. Great for sourcing using the diversity filter and power filters. I also like that you can minimize profiles you've already seen to be more efficient. I've noticed it's been more difficult to pull email addresses from more junior candidates - it's one of my favorite features but seems to be a little less accurate with early career candidates.

SeekOut is well-suited for recruiters/sources who do not have access to the Linkedin Recruiter. SeekOut has a great search function, much like LinkedIn, but there is little upside to using SeekOut over the Linkedin Recruiter.

We use it to source our candidates. The power filters are what set it apart from using a Linkedin Recruiter. We have power filters for our leveling and for other Roblox-specific filters. Our diversity sourcing team primarily uses this system to find talent in our area that is LRG or a lesser represented group.

Diversity teams use this, and powerfilters are very helpful. When looking for volume, Seek out other terms to find relevant profiles well. For example, it might map other candidates with similar terms at the end of the pool search. Also, the bias reducer filter helps make sure there is less bias towards a hiring manager and the recruiters.

  • Provides phone numbers for most individuals that are 50% or better correct.
  • Helps to identify diversity groups, such as female candidate.
  • SeekOut needs better updates to the backend repository, LI. Several times, when pulled through, SeekOut pulled up LI profiles that were not up to date compared to when searched on LI directly.
  • It would be helpful to have better/more updated phone information. As noted in the previous screen, approx. 50% of phone contact information is spot-on, however capturing more up to date information for phone would be helpful.
  • Although picky, having different colors for screens to highlight areas would be helpful. Working late at night, which many times do, the screens are similar in color and brightness, and it would be beneficial to have more distinguishment in colors or brightness so as not to blend.
The best help SeekOut has been for my team, and I is its ability to garner phone and email data information and delineate diverse populations. Since it uses LI as a backend database, as long as the link is kept updated with Seekout/LI, it is a good tool to garner the above information and more speedily develop a pipeline of specific candidates.

SeekOut is used for sourcing talent and as a resource for us in Talent Acquisition. Similar to other search tools I have used in the past, SeekOut allows you to filter out a lot of candidates based on specific criteria such as location, employers, previous experience, etc., but where I have seen the most use is targeting specific markets when trying to increase representation from a diversity standpoint. Unlike other platforms, SeekOut is much more detailed and allows you to filter out folks who might not be the type of candidate you are looking for if you are trying to recruit diverse folks in a specific market.

  • Ability to filter by Diversity - helps support corporate D&I recruiting strategy

I use SeekOut in my talent research on a daily basis to help inform our hiring partners and senior leaders of talent availability in our target markets, domestic and abroad. SeekOut data, including locational, diversity, skills, and affinity groups are of particular interest as we seek to understand the talent market.
  • The amalgamation of diversity data across a talent pool.
  • The ability to save projects and profiles in real time, but allow them to be customizable and malleable allowing me to respond to information as I receive it.
  • The ability to develop sophisticated search strings using a seemingly limitless amount of keywords as well as wildcards to capture a wider amount of profiles.
  • We find that profiles are often times well out of date, sometimes up to 6 months.
  • The system at times seems overwhelmed by the complexity of the search that I build. It will return a number of profiles that do not at fit the search and shouldn't have made the list.
  • We used to be able to exclude industries, skills, etc. They took away that function for those fields, which was actually very useful.
SeekOut is a great resource to build a 1,000 foot comprehensive view of the talent marketplace. Whether your search is a nationwide query of all available talent with a certain set of titles, or specific to one exact locale that includes a number of disambiguating skillsets, SeekOut will return information that is mostly accurate and actionable.

SeekOut's areas of opportunity for me would be ensuring their information is both accurate and up-to-date.

SeekOut has allowed us to create talent insight reports, find candidates who are not on Linkedin, and build up diverse pipelines that create an inclusive work environment. This is a great tool for scraping LI, GitHub, and other social media sources. I use it regularly to actively source candidates for the roles that I am working on.

SeekOut is one of my most valuable resources for finding passive talent and talent needed with specialized interests. The power filters and the ability to create my own power filters to narrow my search to qualified candidates are extraordinary! Truly an amazing asset to my search and allows me to find the candidates needed for hard-to-find roles.

SeekOut is best suited for DEI candidates, Security clearances, and any role that needs specific areas of expertise. I used the market insights and diversity filters most often. This tool has a lot of reach and you can find many fantastic leads by using this tool across the world. Seekout covers a larger talent pool than any of the other tools we have used. We source and host events for diverse candidates across the globe and seekout really helps with that. Seekout does not have a lot of flexibility with their packages. Our company struggled to negotiate a customised package with their team and we ended up needing to expand to other tools in order to make up for the lack of flexibility that Seekout offered.

The customer service has been amazing! Our success rep has helped us by maximizing our package and optimizing our reach outs to candidates. The platform is easy to use and to teach to new hires and Carrie has been flawless at teaching us tips and tricks to learn how to use Seek Out to it's fullest potential. The Biggest problem this is helping us solve is finding qualified candidates to reach out to and try to hire. Right now hiring is our number one priority- so this has helped us reach out to candidates!

SeekOut is used to seek out healthcare professionals. We use it for any profession from pharmacy technicians to RN's to Executive positions. I find that this database i geared mostly towards clinical positions or something higher up than some of our minimum wage positions we are seeking applicants for.

SeekOut is well suited for very particular skillset individuals. I would use this platform to search for a PICC Nurse. If we are targeting a company to hire people from you can easily pull a list of people from that company, it saves time and is a pretty good list. You can also get an email addresses of the potential leads.

SeekOut is the primary go to for all our searches. It readily recommends warm leads that are previous applicants matching the search criteria. Re-engaging with this talent is easier and has helped us make fast hires.

SeekOut is an easy to use platform that helps me source candidates in a new and different way. As a Talent Acquisition Partner, I use SeekOut to source for difficult to fill roles, and to build passive talent pools (for difficult to fill roles). While other tools and job boards can be used for current job openings, Seekout is a quick way to find candidates who possess sought after skills, and to keep those candidates engaged directly. SeekOut helps to form relationships with prospective candidates even before they are job searching!

  • I would like to see more phone numbers (work and mobile)

I used SeekOut to source for a cyber security architect. I had been trying to gill the position for months and with SeekOut I found a candidate and had an offer within two weeks. SeekOut is great for niche hard to fill roles. It doesn't not work well with volume recruiting, and or in industries where candidates are not online often.

SeekOut is a useful tool to cross reference with LinkedIn when sourcing for unrepresented talent. There have been updates in the tooling that enhanced the power filters when creating a search. There are also talent mapping features that are useful to present reporting metrics to stakeholders when kicking off a new search.

SeekOut's talent mapping feature has been useful for presenting on the candidate pipeline for particular niche roles across multiple locations. If you are looking to send out bulk outreach messages or tracking metrics of replies, SeekOut is not the best tool for that as this is best suited to do within the LinkedIn website.

I use SeekOut to search and find diverse candidates. Create campaigns and message prospects on career opportunities that fit their career profile with the intent of progressing to the interview stages with the hiring manager to offer stages. The issue I run into is that I believe the messaging platform SeekOut uses could be more user-friendly. Something that is more tech-friendly, like a message by phone.

We used it for recruiting and staffing sourcing needs, mainly for engineering roles. We had a lot of openings at the Senior, Staff, and Principal Engineer levels that we needed to fill. We also started changing our scope of work from generalist engineers to specialist engineers, which required more sourcing methods.

It's well-suited for sourcing teams, but for full desk recruiters, it can improve, and I would love to see some more AI functionality, where candidates are preselected for certain roles. We started using SeekOut as a way to gain a larger candidate pool for our company's sourcing effort. There are some pros to the use of the AI platform due to diversity sourcing filters and blocking photos of candidates, so we have an unbiased view, but the issues we are having is out of over 300 messages sent in the platform, only 9 people responded back, and all were not interested. Now, this could be an issue due to our present market, but 10% of these candidates didn't have accurate email addresses that were verified by SeekOut.

It is a larger-scale recruiting tool, but their location tools need to be better. If I am sourcing for a role in Los Angeles, I shouldn't be getting candidates located in India as a match when I am sourcing for a 50 miles radius. Also, to get their email addresses, it uses a credit, and the majority of the time, these are email addresses that bounce back or the person doesn't actively use. So the metrics look like it was sent because they will send an email to every single one listed as a match to that candidate. So if they have 7 email addresses, it will count as a reached email if even one of those are current. That doesn't mean the person replies.

We used SeekOut as a method to eliminate unconscious biases the hiring managers that were reviewing resumes would have. The good thing is that it shielded any identifying information that could lead to a bias. Unfortunately, sometimes some of those identifiers would be needed when pushing diversity slates.
