As leader of Executive Search, I use SeekOut to source/search for candidates and, more specifically, to acquire contact information, including email and phone numbers.
  • Provides email addresses for most individuals that are correct.
  • Provides phone numbers for most individuals that are 50% or better correct.
  • Helps to identify diversity groups, such as female candidate.
  • SeekOut needs better updates to the backend repository, LI. Several times, when pulled through, SeekOut pulled up LI profiles that were not up to date compared to when searched on LI directly.
  • It would be helpful to have better/more updated phone information. As noted in the previous screen, approx. 50% of phone contact information is spot-on, however capturing more up to date information for phone would be helpful.
  • Although picky, having different colors for screens to highlight areas would be helpful. Working late at night, which many times do, the screens are similar in color and brightness, and it would be beneficial to have more distinguishment in colors or brightness so as not to blend.
The best help SeekOut has been for my team, and I is its ability to garner phone and email data information and delineate diverse populations. Since it uses LI as a backend database, as long as the link is kept updated with Seekout/LI, it is a good tool to garner the above information and more speedily develop a pipeline of specific candidates.

I used the market insights and diversity filters most often. This tool has a lot of reach and you can find many fantastic leads by using this tool across the world. Seekout covers a larger talent pool than any of the other tools we have used. We source and host events for diverse candidates across the globe and seekout really helps with that. Seekout does not have a lot of flexibility with their packages. Our company struggled to negotiate a customised package with their team and we ended up needing to expand to other tools in order to make up for the lack of flexibility that Seekout offered.

The customer service has been amazing! Our success rep has helped us by maximizing our package and optimizing our reach outs to candidates. The platform is easy to use and to teach to new hires and Carrie has been flawless at teaching us tips and tricks to learn how to use Seek Out to it's fullest potential. The Biggest problem this is helping us solve is finding qualified candidates to reach out to and try to hire. Right now hiring is our number one priority- so this has helped us reach out to candidates!

If we are targeting a company to hire people from you can easily pull a list of people from that company, it saves time and is a pretty good list. You can also get an email addresses of the potential leads.

SeekOut is an easy to use platform that helps me source candidates in a new and different way. As a Talent Acquisition Partner, I use SeekOut to source for difficult to fill roles, and to build passive talent pools (for difficult to fill roles). While other tools and job boards can be used for current job openings, Seekout is a quick way to find candidates who possess sought after skills, and to keep those candidates engaged directly. SeekOut helps to form relationships with prospective candidates even before they are job searching!

I used SeekOut to source for a cyber security architect. I had been trying to gill the position for months and with SeekOut I found a candidate and had an offer within two weeks. SeekOut is great for niche hard to fill roles. It doesn't not work well with volume recruiting, and or in industries where candidates are not online often.

We started using SeekOut as a way to gain a larger candidate pool for our company's sourcing effort. There are some pros to the use of the AI platform due to diversity sourcing filters and blocking photos of candidates, so we have an unbiased view, but the issues we are having is out of over 300 messages sent in the platform, only 9 people responded back, and all were not interested. Now, this could be an issue due to our present market, but 10% of these candidates didn't have accurate email addresses that were verified by SeekOut.

  • Other than providing diversity filters, they do not have set ethnicities for the tech industries like other AI companies do
It is a larger-scale recruiting tool, but their location tools need to be better. If I am sourcing for a role in Los Angeles, I shouldn't be getting candidates located in India as a match when I am sourcing for a 50 miles radius. Also, to get their email addresses, it uses a credit, and the majority of the time, these are email addresses that bounce back or the person doesn't actively use. So the metrics look like it was sent because they will send an email to every single one listed as a match to that candidate. So if they have 7 email addresses, it will count as a reached email if even one of those are current. That doesn't mean the person replies.

We use SeekOut as a sourcing platform for technical candidate searches. It solves the issue of not having potential contact information that you would not have access to if only using LinkedIn. I personally use SeekOut first when conducting my search for talent, because it also provides some profiles that may not have populated on other platforms. The boolean search window, power filters, and ability to search based on certifications is extremely helpful. Also the ability to "clone" a profile and have insight and data on where candidates of a particular industry have worked previously, so you can target other individuals working for a specific company with the same skills. Recommendations would be to add an "open to work/actively looking" tab if possible, but overall thumbs up!

Where ZipRecruiter is great for mostly non-technical profiles with confirmed contact information- SeekOut would be the next best thing for the technical side of recruiting. It does give you the chance for contact information. Sometimes that information is good, and sometimes it's not. When contact information is old or stale, going to their LinkedIn profile to send a connection invite and message through Linkedin Recruiter would be the next step regardless, but is as easy as just one click on their name.

I use SeekOut for a number of purpose:
1. Market analysis/definition to understand the total available candidate pool.
2. Market segmentation, to better understand the market segments and available companies.
3. Candidate sourcing, research and contact mining.
4. Candidate campaign management.
5. General research.
  • SeekOut has fantastic search capabilities
  • SeekOut is not a silo; you can upload, download and intergrate data source
  • SeekOut has strong candidate contact mining capabilies
  • SeekOut has excellent cross reference and DEI capabilities.
  • In my opinion, SeekOut candidate Campaign management is weak, poor actually.
  • SeekOut could provide more customization (export fields, custom titles, integrations).
It is very well suited for: Market Analysis, Candidate Identification, Candidate Contact Mining, Data Export and Import, DEI Search.

It is not well suited for Campaign Management, or customization.

Our Product & Technology recruiting team uses SeekOut to source and contact niche technical talent. SeekOut helps our business quickly identify technical talent with diverse backgrounds. SeekOut has built confidence among our organization in that we know the level of candidate we are connecting with from the platform will provide our organization with the technical capacity to fulfill the pace at which our tech environment moves, but also the soft skills and values that our culture thrives on.
  • SeekOut highlights diverse talent well. I love that I can filter to view Women in Technology, for example.
  • The platform's UI is easy to use and the integration with LinkedIn is superb.
  • The ability to run messaging campaigns in a quick and easy format saves both time and effort.
  • I have seen duplicate candidates several times and wish that feature was tightened up to possibly 'turn off' a profile.
I would highly recommend SeekOut to any organization (large or small) that is seeking a platform that covers all their talent sourcing needs. SeekOut is excellent for filtering candidates by skill set or technical background and makes an effort to highlight diverse profiles. Because of this, we are able to contact a broader audience of candidates and find talent that aligns with our rigorous DEI goals and values. SeekOut also integrates with LinkedIn, making it simple to view a candidate's profile and gain a more holistic picture of their experience, career goals, and interests. From a messaging standpoint, SeekOut is excellent in providing our Recruiters with the tools to easily run email campaigns and further market our brand and job opportunities.

We are a female-focused recruiting firm, and SeekOut has proven to be an excellent resource in our quest for top talent. The site has assisted us in finding highly qualified applicants for tasks that our clients required filled, as well as in expanding our network of possible candidates. The user design is simple to use, and the search tool is powerful, allowing us to swiftly locate qualified candidates for the job. Furthermore, the SeekOut crew is attentive and friendly, always willing to support us in any way they can. Overall, we strongly suggest SeekOut to any organization trying to hire top IT talent.

Currently I am using SeekOut for our sales roles. I don't have a good response rate from candidates I reach out, a lot of times the emails get bounced as well. I tried the phone number feature as well and did not have much luck with that.

I use SeekOut to identify candidates I wish to incorporate into my organization's hiring process, to communicate with those candidates, and to follow up on those communications with further outreach. I treat the tool as both a discovery and relationship management program. This program provides me a more user-friendly alternative to sourcing than Linkedin Recruiter, with additional functionality I find helpful - particularly regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (I.E. finding candidates from historically underrepresented identity groups).

  • The tool needs to find a way to integrate with LinkedIn
I find the tool very well suited to most of the workflows I need to execute as someone in a Sourcing role (aka, the person who works with candidates from initial outreach through the middle stages of a hiring process). I could even see a use case for folks outside of Talent Acquisition functions who just wish to find quality leads (for sales, etc.).

I wouldn't recommend SeekOut for folks who work only on the later stages of a hiring process.

Seek Out is a good solution for anyone who plans to seriously consider developing sourcing skills with their team. It has the necessary filters for diversity sourcing, a large base of candidates and market insights data. I can see that the platform is developing in a better direction. What caused me the most difficulties was the manual prices of collecting data for each search - global search is divided into continents, insights is a separate report, etc. I think it's a good tool, but it doesn't work in our plans for 2023. Support was always available but there was no inspiration from them on how my team could work better. Therefore, you need to be more proactive to get 100% out of the platform.

We use SeekOut for identifying diverse and underrepresented talent in North America. At Workday, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. SeekOut allows us to filter our search results by race, gender, veteran status, and more. When I initially started with Workday, I was a Diversity Sourcing Specialist. SeekOut allows me to find talent that may not always be on the first pages of LinkedIn. It also shows us candidates through GitHub which is useful when many candidates decline to use LinkedIn.

  • Great AI search feature
  • Honing in on geographic locations that are suited for specific talent
  • Pulls data from other sources outside of LinkedIn
  • Profiles could be updated on a more regular basis.
  • The AI could be improved to show more accurate results (although this will come with time and more users taking advantage of the feature)
  • Adding boolean into certain areas could be improved o na UI side.

I use SeekOut to find potential candidates for my company's open positions. Since the roles are technical in nature, the platform is very helpful in narrowing down the right fit by the use of boolean phrases, current companies, years of experience, etc.

I use SeekOut to source qualified candidates for my job openings. This product addresses the problems we have when finding candidates to send over to Hiring Managers and gives us a larger pool to source from. I was given the opportunity to utilize the product.

SeekOut was a tool we used to support sourcing efforts at our global technology company. The hope was that it would augment or supplement our sourcing efforts and give us an alternative to outreach via LinkedIn Recruiter.

We are challenged every day with hard-to-fill technology roles, however, SeekOut offers opportunities for us to adapt to the realities of the current market and strategize our outreach to make CarMax stand out. This tool has allowed us to take our Talent Acquisition Strategy to the Next Level with its AI-Powered talent search capabilities.

I am looking for candidates with clearances, top secret and above. I do not have LinkedIn Recruiter and I do not need LinkedIn Recruiter since I have this product!

I'm a Senior Recruiter, so I partner with hiring managers to fill open roles. I use SeekOut to source candidates for each requisition to increase the pool of qualified candidates. Depending on the part, I cannot always rely on applicants to fill my jobs as they often don't meet the requirements of the role. Using SeekOut, I'm able to conduct thorough boolean searches to identify candidates with the skills and experience that I need.
  • Helps me find niche candidates.
  • Let me search by specific companies or eliminate specific companies from my search.
  • Helps identify diverse candidates.
  • Provides contact information for candidates.
  • The contact information I receive is often outdated (old email addresses).
  • I sometimes get a smaller pool of candidates than expected.
  • I wish there was a dashboard in SeekOut that allowed me to send emails and store templates. The current solution isn't as simple and is more time-consuming than sending an email.
  • It's hard to keep track of who I or someone else in my organization has contacted. I wish there was a sidebar to let me know if/when the person has been contacted by a colleague or me.
SeekOut is best suited for searching for niche candidates with a rare or hard-to-find specialty. Those highly sought-after candidates don't always respond to Linkedin messages as they often receive a high volume of emails. SeekOut provides their contact info so that I can reach out to them outside of the Linkedin platform. It also identifies candidates that the Linkedin algorithm might miss. It's less appropriate for searches with a larger pool of qualified candidates that don't require niche skills or if I'm looking for a quick answer. I tend to get quicker responses via Linkedin email with specific candidates.

My organization uses SeekOut to source diverse sales and technical talent. The product allows users to target a specific candidate profile with the multiple functions the product allows. It also provides some great insights on where the diverse talented is located and what are the current trends for specific talent.

I utilize SeekOut on a regular basis and leverage it in my talent acquisition role. Seek out has numerous functionalities and gives me the ability to diversely source talent. It also gives me the ability to utilize other tools within it like LinkedIn. Overall, I consistently work to learn the ins and out's of SeekOut by working hand in hand with their Customer Success agents, and I always recommend the tool to my colleagues.
  • Creation of Power filters.
  • Ability to use complex boolean strings.
  • Ability to source diversity candidates.
  • Adding a way to source individuals that are newly on the market or recently updated info.
I believe that SeekOut does a great job as an alternative to my Clearance Jobs license because it gives me the ability to target individuals with clearances which are 99.5% of what I source on. I honestly do not have any scenarios where it is less valuable.
