SeekOut is well-suited for recruiters/sources who do not have access to the Linkedin Recruiter. SeekOut has a great search function, much like LinkedIn, but there is little upside to using SeekOut over the Linkedin Recruiter.

SeekOut is used for sourcing talent and as a resource for us in Talent Acquisition. Similar to other search tools I have used in the past, SeekOut allows you to filter out a lot of candidates based on specific criteria such as location, employers, previous experience, etc., but where I have seen the most use is targeting specific markets when trying to increase representation from a diversity standpoint. Unlike other platforms, SeekOut is much more detailed and allows you to filter out folks who might not be the type of candidate you are looking for if you are trying to recruit diverse folks in a specific market.

SeekOut has allowed us to create talent insight reports, find candidates who are not on Linkedin, and build up diverse pipelines that create an inclusive work environment. This is a great tool for scraping LI, GitHub, and other social media sources. I use it regularly to actively source candidates for the roles that I am working on.

SeekOut is one of my most valuable resources for finding passive talent and talent needed with specialized interests. The power filters and the ability to create my own power filters to narrow my search to qualified candidates are extraordinary! Truly an amazing asset to my search and allows me to find the candidates needed for hard-to-find roles.

SeekOut is best suited for DEI candidates, Security clearances, and any role that needs specific areas of expertise. I cannot think of any reason why SeekOut is not best utilized for seeking out talented candidates. Easy to use and narrows down the search to find exactly what you need. I use SeekOut first and then move to other resources if needed.

I used the market insights and diversity filters most often. This tool has a lot of reach and you can find many fantastic leads by using this tool across the world. Seekout covers a larger talent pool than any of the other tools we have used. We source and host events for diverse candidates across the globe and seekout really helps with that. Seekout does not have a lot of flexibility with their packages. Our company struggled to negotiate a customised package with their team and we ended up needing to expand to other tools in order to make up for the lack of flexibility that Seekout offered.

The customer service has been amazing! Our success rep has helped us by maximizing our package and optimizing our reach outs to candidates. The platform is easy to use and to teach to new hires and Carrie has been flawless at teaching us tips and tricks to learn how to use Seek Out to it's fullest potential. The Biggest problem this is helping us solve is finding qualified candidates to reach out to and try to hire. Right now hiring is our number one priority- so this has helped us reach out to candidates!

SeekOut is the primary go to for all our searches. It readily recommends warm leads that are previous applicants matching the search criteria. Re-engaging with this talent is easier and has helped us make fast hires.

I find SeekOut very well suited for sourcing in general. It is also very beneficial for targeted sourcing as you can really narrow down the criteria. As for casting a "wide net", SeekOut can be beneficial if can be smart about the search string used.

You can get the necessary information of candidates such as skills, qualifications and achievement. Worldwide access is available. It saves your time by avoiding scrolling through every candidate's profile.

I use SeekOut to search and find diverse candidates. Create campaigns and message prospects on career opportunities that fit their career profile with the intent of progressing to the interview stages with the hiring manager to offer stages. The issue I run into is that I believe the messaging platform SeekOut uses could be more user-friendly. Something that is more tech-friendly, like a message by phone.

We started using SeekOut as a way to gain a larger candidate pool for our company's sourcing effort. There are some pros to the use of the AI platform due to diversity sourcing filters and blocking photos of candidates, so we have an unbiased view, but the issues we are having is out of over 300 messages sent in the platform, only 9 people responded back, and all were not interested. Now, this could be an issue due to our present market, but 10% of these candidates didn't have accurate email addresses that were verified by SeekOut.

It is a larger-scale recruiting tool, but their location tools need to be better. If I am sourcing for a role in Los Angeles, I shouldn't be getting candidates located in India as a match when I am sourcing for a 50 miles radius. Also, to get their email addresses, it uses a credit, and the majority of the time, these are email addresses that bounce back or the person doesn't actively use. So the metrics look like it was sent because they will send an email to every single one listed as a match to that candidate. So if they have 7 email addresses, it will count as a reached email if even one of those are current. That doesn't mean the person replies.

It helps to reliably find top talent across EMEA and supports in identifying diverse candidates which makes an over all positive impact for DI recruitment. The tool has helped us recruit first in class talent which gives us an edge over our competitors.

We use SeekOut as a sourcing platform for technical candidate searches. It solves the issue of not having potential contact information that you would not have access to if only using LinkedIn. I personally use SeekOut first when conducting my search for talent, because it also provides some profiles that may not have populated on other platforms. The boolean search window, power filters, and ability to search based on certifications is extremely helpful. Also the ability to "clone" a profile and have insight and data on where candidates of a particular industry have worked previously, so you can target other individuals working for a specific company with the same skills. Recommendations would be to add an "open to work/actively looking" tab if possible, but overall thumbs up!

It does give you the chance for contact information. Sometimes that information is good, and sometimes it's not. When contact information is old or stale, going to their LinkedIn profile to send a connection invite and message through Linkedin Recruiter would be the next step regardless, but is as easy as just one click on their name.

I use SeekOut to find new candidates for our open positions. It is able to find candidates on LinkedIn that normally don't show up on searches, and is able to provide additional contact information of those candidates.

I use SeekOut for a number of purpose:
1. Market analysis/definition to understand the total available candidate pool.
2. Market segmentation, to better understand the market segments and available companies.
3. Candidate sourcing, research and contact mining.
4. Candidate campaign management.
5. General research.

  • SeekOut is not a silo; you can upload, download and intergrate data source
  • SeekOut has strong candidate contact mining capabilies
  • SeekOut has excellent cross reference and DEI capabilities.
  • In my opinion, SeekOut candidate Campaign management is weak, poor actually.
  • SeekOut could provide more customization (export fields, custom titles, integrations).
It is very well suited for: Market Analysis, Candidate Identification, Candidate Contact Mining, Data Export and Import, DEI Search.

It is not well suited for Campaign Management, or customization.

SeekOut is a great recruiting tool to find the top programmers in the industry. The Github search feature is incredibly valuable, allowing you to rate the quality of programming in a particular language as well as the rate of activity in a users' repos. The ATS insights are great for collaboration and sharing expectations with hiring leaders as well.

The site has assisted us in finding highly qualified applicants for tasks that our clients required filled, as well as in expanding our network of possible candidates. The user design is simple to use, and the search tool is powerful, allowing us to swiftly locate qualified candidates for the job. Furthermore, the SeekOut crew is attentive and friendly, always willing to support us in any way they can. Overall, we strongly suggest SeekOut to any organization trying to hire top IT talent.

I use SeekOut to identify candidates I wish to incorporate into my organization's hiring process, to communicate with those candidates, and to follow up on those communications with further outreach. I treat the tool as both a discovery and relationship management program. This program provides me a more user-friendly alternative to sourcing than Linkedin Recruiter, with additional functionality I find helpful - particularly regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (I.E. finding candidates from historically underrepresented identity groups).

  • The tool needs to find a way to integrate with LinkedIn
I find the tool very well suited to most of the workflows I need to execute as someone in a Sourcing role (aka, the person who works with candidates from initial outreach through the middle stages of a hiring process). I could even see a use case for folks outside of Talent Acquisition functions who just wish to find quality leads (for sales, etc.).

I wouldn't recommend SeekOut for folks who work only on the later stages of a hiring process.

SeekOut has been great for finding potential candidates and their contact information. The search interface and quality of leads are among the best of any product. The reporting and outreach capabilities are also great and very user-friendly. Also, conducting market and competitor research has been streamlined with SeekOut.

We use SeekOut for identifying diverse and underrepresented talent in North America. At Workday, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. SeekOut allows us to filter our search results by race, gender, veteran status, and more. When I initially started with Workday, I was a Diversity Sourcing Specialist. SeekOut allows me to find talent that may not always be on the first pages of LinkedIn. It also shows us candidates through GitHub which is useful when many candidates decline to use LinkedIn.

As a team of 6 recruitment professionals, we needed another option for sourcing candidates. SeekOut was meant to address not finding candidates on LinkedIn past 3rd connections as well as providing additional contact information not listed on public job boards, forums, etc. As an organization with a rigorous interview process and lack of remote opportunities, we need to have additional leads coming through our recruitment funnel. SeekOut was another avenue for adding to our "funnel."

For us, SeekOut was only used to gain lead/candidate names and then proceeding to find those candidates on other platforms. If you have the time to take lead names, seach and message on other platforms, SeekOut is right for you.

I use SeekOut to source candidates with specific background and skills. It helps me pulls out unique candidates that I have not seen on other searches. I love the search capabilities within SeekOut. The Boolean function provides a lot of advanced searching techniques and the pre-made Power Filters take out some of the extra work needed to identify candidates. SeekOut has several pre-designed filters that make life easier to get very specific searches to be spot on with our needs with multiple candidates identified.

I love the search capabilities within SeekOut. It makes my life much easier finding qualified candidates. I can search on multiple sources and not just LinkedIn (i.e. GitHub is a great addition to the tool). I also like that I can filter by different Inclusion criteria. SeekOut provides a lot of helpful and useful information when it comes to the candidate search for my roles. It's a great tool for diverse talent as well. I also like that is super user-friendly.
