Community Insights

TrustRadius Insights are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, 3rd-party data sources. Have feedback on this content? Let us know!

Based on user reviews, here are the three most common recommendations for Marigold Engage:

  1. It is important to thoroughly vet potential platforms and design data in a way that aligns with planned usage in Message Studio.

  2. Users recommend Marigold Engage for its solid platform, easy integration, and strong support. They also prefer it over other platforms like Harmony and Siebel, and many are consolidating all their emails to Marigold Engage.

  3. The platform is considered a good choice for more technical users because of its features such as easy syncing, targeting, personalization, and the ability to execute lifecycle and AB tests. However, less technical users may require training to fully leverage these capabilities.

In addition, some users suggest that Marigold Engage may require more training compared to other platforms, but they believe it is worth the effort for the control it provides over programs.

We use Message Studio to launch our firm's email communications (over 67,000,000/year across multiple business units). We do not currently use any content related add-ons.
  • Organized and intuitive user interface--very low risk of sending to an incorrect list, launching a test email, or selecting the wrong date (I have seen this on other ESPs)
  • Easy segmenting and content block capabilities
  • Responsive customer service
  • Better data integration
  • Friendlier user interface
  • Easier guides and instructions
Message Studio/Selligent is great for reliably sending high volumes of both manual and automated email. The intuitive user interface promotes fast turnaround times. Aside from some data integration issues, it's the best email service provider I've used for sending large volumes of email.
  • Increased employee efficiency due to content blocking
  • Lower rate of errors/apology emails due to technical errors
Selligent has more flexibility than other ESPs, and complex features, such as segmentation and content blocking, are much more intuitive with Selligent than WhatCounts, Yesmail, MailChimp, Constant Contact, or Teradata.

StrongMail is an integral part of our organization. We use their software every single day as part of a core piece of our business which is sending emails to our customers. We further use their data analytics and reporting to optimize our creatives and sending policies, both in nature and frequency.
  • StrongMail does open and click tracking very well. The detailed level of data they provide is exceptional.
  • StrongMail does failure data and bounce codes extremely well. The granularity of the information is invaluable to our business and used by us every day.
  • StrongMail's Message Studio EAS is a widely user friendly platform for technical and non-technical users alike.
  • Some level of the sending functionality for StrongMail is lacking. For example you can not do user record level targeting on the native communication protocols but if you inject via SMTP you can target down to the individual user record. However using SMTP you lose a lot of other native functionality.
  • The bounce processing that we see from StrongMail does not have the flexibility we require and thus we manually mine the log files each night for the previous day to acquire the data we need.
If you need the reporting and analytics on the data associated to your email sends then StrongMail is the way to go. All the data is available in the message studio interface down to how specific ISPs are responding in real-time. Additionally the log files are robust to where if you need to mine the files to further parse the information it is both possible and easy based on the structure and classification of the data, i.e. success logs are separate from failure logs, deferrals that either end up succeeding or failing are separate from each other and also separate from straight successes.
  • Due to the granularity of data and real-time nature of it that you can get from StrongMail we are able to respond to ISPs reactions in quasi real-time. It absolutely helps us and our customers. [Positive]
  • The lack of record level user targeting on send required us to hire StrongMail's professional services in order to get the features we need. [Negative]
We did not evaluate other products exactly. We upgraded from an inferior production to StrongMail based on demos and other people's reviews.
