Sectors such as government, law, research centers, investigative agencies, R&D, or similar in which information protection is essential.I think that this type of sectors should work with this platform or similar mandatory in order to protect and shield the information with which they work on a daily basis.

Sometimes we just need to send a single large file, and compressing it is easier than using ShareFile. But generally, we use ShareFile to exchange or send anything over 20 MB.

A problem that we have not had [yet], but wonder about is this: Are ShareFile and its e-mailed links safe for transmission to/from U.S. Government computers? All of our public-sector clients are state and locality-based. We haven't had any interacton with U.S. entities. U.S. entities, especially DOD, are rather particular about these type of file-sharing sites and links embedded inside e-mails.

Good:
  • Collaborative Magazine Production: ShareFile excels in multi-edition magazine publications with collaborative content creation, offering real-time co-authoring and secure file sharing for editorial teams.
  • Content Approval Workflow: ShareFile is ideal for streamlining content approval processes, enabling reviewers to access and comment on magazine drafts securely, making it efficient for users to provide feedback.
Bad:
  • Individual Content Creation: If magazine production primarily involves individuals working independently without collaborative needs, ShareFile's collaboration features may be overly complex and unnecessary.
  • Limited Resources: For publications with limited budgets, ShareFile's robust feature set may be cost-prohibitive compared to more budget-friendly file-sharing solutions.

ShareFile is a great resource and application for sharing files that are data-heavy and have sensitive information. The software is built for businesses that deal with multiple users and external clients and need to share sensitive information securely. Sharefile also has multiple features that can customize the sharing experience based on the business needs.

ShareFile is great for any business wanting to share (request and receive) files securely. The ability to view videos, share spreadsheets, etc, is also amazing. I would totally recommend ShareFile to any service business trying to set up a secure tool to exchange files with internal employees as well as external clients.

ShareFile is well suited to send documents or files containing sensitive personal or business information. It is also well suited to send large files that could not be shipped via regular Word or Excel. It may not be best suited to send files or documents that could be send via regular email.

Citrix RightSignature is easier to set up and administer. It also helps to make the solution our own with professional custom branding while providing quality ongoing customer support. Despite this, there are still some areas that require improvement, such as the ability to clone templates. We have to remap all the template IDs and field values whenever a change is made.

The graphic interface makes it a better tool in comparison to other e-signing programs which is great for signing a document. It is well suited to sign documents in bulk. Not that great in terms of integration with other programs such as SharePoint to streamline certain processes within project management organization.

Company needs to get firms to recognize and accept its use in addition to DocuSign and the other well known products that are available and in use. It's easy to use but the recognition is not there, even though Citrix RightSignature is a well known brand. Hope to see more use in the future.

Citrix RightSignature is well suited for companies that have shifted from an in person work environment to a 100% remote work environment. This product is well suited for insurance, legal, medical, or any other field where reduction of paper use would be encouraged. For organizations utilizing hybrid or in-person work models, this product may not be necessary.

It's been really useful for documents within a local environment; I'm not sure how it easy it would be to use in a wider world environment as I've heard that online signature technology is taking time to become established.

Sharefile is best suited for companies that already leverage CItrix or have no specific ties to any remote access type products. However, if a company is completely standardized on another product such as being a 100% VMWARE shop, that company may receive less benefit though even in that case Sharefile could be made to work pretty well despite the lack of continuity with the base products.

If you need a file sharing, collaborative product with version control, permissions, etc. But don't want something you need a dedicated, highly technical person to administer, this is the option. Easy to use, has the features that most people use and not so worried about the features that only 1% of the companies out there use. ShareFile is perfect for small to mid-sized companies.

We find that our clients in accounting and financial services love Citrix ShareFile. The drive mapper function with Citrix Files gives users a familiar experience to those that have come from a local file share scenario. The ability to control access, control, and permissions is great. The tight integration with rightsignature is a bonus. We have also found other "hidden" features such as assigning an email address that uploads directly to a folder which is a great solution with scanner apps. Unfortunately for engineering firms that use CAD files or organizations with deep and complex folder structures and long filenames, performance is not up to scratch and definitely not recommended.

If you are looking to stream video storage, I don't know if it's even able to do so. It is well suited to providing a solid cloud storage platform where you have feedback and approval type relationships within your organization.

It is very robust, easy, flexible and can be quickly deployed with basic standard to share files. Users do not require too much training to use it and clients almost never ask what to do when they get sent a file via ShareFile.
For larger companies, it can get very expensive very quickly. Small businesses may go with other companies due to pricing.

ShareFile works very well for sending encrypted attachments through the Outlook app. The one-click feature makes it intuitive for users. There are two scenarios I can think of where it wouldn't fit as well. If you have a significant user base who does not use the Outlook app ShareFile may be harder to implement as users would have to go to the web portal. Additionally, the Outlook app has an automated feature where it will encrypt files over a certain size. This inconsistency can annoy some users but that will be more of a deployment detail.

Citrix ShareFile fills a software niche very well. Off all the competitors, I found ShareFile to be the best fit all around for our needs of being able to synchronize files when needed and also having unlimited access to all files at other times. Since we started using this software it has only gotten better.

  • Well suited for high encryption purposes, such as HIPAA compliance. This is a major reason we chose this SaaS. We also had a choice of encryption levels if we hadn't needed such a high security level.
  • Well suited for electronic signatures, be that by keyboard, mouse signing, or finger signing on tablets and mobile devices.
  • Not well-suited for service providers who need structured EMR templates for billing, insurance coding, etc.
  • Well suited for large state/local government agencies to capture required documentation from contracted providers, especially large-capacity documents that surpass email attachment size limits.
