SharpSpring helps us and our clients solve the problem of manually interacting with potential business leads, tracking our online performance, and helping us determine our direct ROI with our different marketing efforts. It also acts as our CRM to help us keep tabs on our most valuable prospects and existing clients.

We use SharpSpring in two ways: to help generate and manage our leads to aid in our company business development efforts and to sell/offer the service to our clients to help them do the same. Currently, our digital marketers, account executives and business development teammates use the platform. SharpSpring helps us keep a close eye on where prospects are in their purchase journey.

SharpSpring is a great tool for making marketing campaigns. SharpSpring has a brilliant training academy where you can become more familiar with the platform. Every employee in our organisation has access to the SharpSpring platform, this software helps us keep track of all our contacts and the conversion we have with them.
  • I think the virtual classroom that SharpSpring offers is a great tool because it allows you to become more familiar with the system.
  • I like the Life of the lead because this feature allows you to see all the emails you have sent to a particular contact in a systematic calendar.
  • SharpSpring allows you to track and monitor campaigns this is a great feature because it allows me to see what my audience is getting up to.
  • It would be helpful if there was a search function in the life of the lead so you could look through emails for a certain word without having to go through every email individually.
  • In the contacts, there is only the ability to add one lead owner. Sometimes we have more than one person working on a contact so it would make it helpful if we could add another person.
SharpSpring is great if you are looking to create some marketing campaigns. This is a particularly good piece of software for keeping track of contacts, SharpSpring allows you to keep all your contacts in one place and monitor emails coming in and out this makes it easy for more than one person to work on an account because everyone can monitor the conversations.

We use SharpSpring to manage our internal sales and marketing campaigns, but also use it on our client's behalf to manage their lead generation campaigns. We are a team of seven and all our staff use SharpSpring in some form or other. We have found it an easy tool to use and navigate, which encourages staff to use the tool as they understand it. We managed to rationalise various tools and replace with just SharpSpring, so it replaced our outgoing CRM, outgoing marketing automation software saving us thousands of pounds.

We've been very happy with our migration to SharpSpring and intend to be a user for the foreseeable future. It meets our needs as a specialist life science marketing agency perfectly.

SharpSpring is extremely well suited for marketing agencies supporting other businesses. It is also a great CRM for any business that is wanting to house all of their marketing information in one platform to both save money but to also better understand the impact of their marketing efforts. Small businesses that are not doing much marketing would benefit from the sales aspect of SharpSpring more than the marketing portion, however, having the foundation for both is an incredible start for any serious business owners.

Our entire organization is utilizing SharpSpring. We think this is a well-thought-out tool that is growing and expanding to meet customers' needs. The replacements it makes are good and single-platform integration replaces many other tools that we struggled to integrate, or had to jump from spot to spot to determine info and ROI.

Onboarding and set-up guidance. They help during a window of time however, there is a lot required to get you up and going. They refer often to the EDU and Classroom hours for help. This actually helps but you should anticipate 30-60 days with your current schedule to be up and running.

Validation of leads, the assignment from leads to opportunities and the lead scoring, with automation helps salespeople realize where they are in the pipeline with prospects. We wanted to have more integration from forms to collecting leads, company and associated sub-accounts organized with individual opportunities. The ability to replace MailChimp, Lead Pages and Pipedrive while adding more functionalities was beneficial and outweighed the cons. This puts us in a good position to walk other customers through the process correctly and have longer-term contracts with them.

SharpSpring is an essential tool used by all divisions within our organization. A centralized customer contact repository and connected communication automations have become an irreplaceable asset to our daily workflow. Connecting it to our website from a tracking and social platforms is developing insights that are defining who and how we are operating as a team.

SharpSpring is an all encompassing platform that will drive new leads, improve the customer journey and drive retention, but only if you embrace the tools within the system. If doesn't function for you, you have to put in the work to drive results.

SharpSpring solves for our need of personalized automated emails and segmented workflows.

We have used SharpSpring for our company in three capacities: as a CRM (customer relations management), a social media scheduling/management platform, and briefly for its sales pipeline features. My experience is primarily in the social and CRM capacity. As a CRM, we were simply looking for a decent address book where we could keep track of our clients' and potential clients' contact information in a place our whole team could organize and access. As a social media management platform, we were looking to schedule posts for roughly 25 individual clients' businesses on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. We were using it to replace Sendible, which we were disappointed with because of glitches and poor customer support.
  • Quick response time when you submit a support ticket.
  • Attractive interface.
  • Good customer communication—always polite and friendly.
  • Their CRM is very clunky. It does not allow a contact to exist without an email address, but oftentimes we have two contacts within a business who use the same business email address. In order to have both of their names and phone numbers available, we're stuck putting fake@fakeemail.com (or a similar false address) as their email. Their custom field options are unwieldy and you have to have a TON of them because they don't have very many slots for information we'd like to keep.
  • Their social media management platform is aggravating if you have more than about three profiles connected. The content calendar cannot be sorted other than by channel (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) so everything is dumped together. I've frequently had posts and profiles disappear without explanation. The usual response seems to be, "Well, it's working NOW." That doesn't really help us when we've lost a lot of content our clients pay us for.
  • Their support is fast, but frequently not helpful. Like, they say "20 minutes response time!" or something, but the email you get within twenty minutes is often an irrelevant or nit-picky question. It's filler. They don't read your issue thoroughly, send back an email with a random question, and check off their 'fast response time,' box. The real answers are frequently long in coming, full of "our development team is working on this," and ending with yet another complicated and sometimes impossible workaround.
Probably well-suited if you have a single business with no tricky complications selling a straightforward product where all your customers are personal users and not other businesses. Their personal trainers are pretty good (as long as there are no hiccups) and you'll probably be happy with the product. Not appropriate if you sell a complicated service, are a B2B business, or need a large number of connected social profiles or businesses in your contacts.

1. On February 28, 2020 they erase 2,154 contacts from the CRM of one of my clients and they didn't solve the problem; the only justification they have is that their system doesn't allow massive deletion of contacts.

2. The price increment of 45% to their agencies because of the new features only available in US, so all the other agencies have to pay more even if you are not allowed to get those features.

3. The constant failure of the system, the automations fail. They are not fixing the bugs.

As a marketing agency, we recommend SharpSpring as the marketing automation tool for our clients. For each of our clients, it solves the problem of being able to send marketing emails to large lists, creating web forms for generating leads, tracking marketing campaigns, creating automation tasks to follow up with leads or notify users.
  • SharpSpring's form builder is excellent. Easily select fields to use, including progressive fields, and styling a form to the look and feel of a website can be done just by pasting in a URL of the website. The form code is made using JavaScript, so it's a simple copy and paste function to put the form on the website, and any changes made in SharpSpring are instantly reflected on the website.
  • Automation is great in SharpSpring. The workflow builder is intuitive and a great way to visualize your automations. It shows all the available triggers, and then you can select from a vast array of automated tasks. These are great for anything from form notifications to complex automated email nurture campaigns with lots of "if this, then that" statements.
  • The Life of the Lead function on the contact record is great for CRM purposes. Right on the contact record, you can see all the activity of a contact record, even website visits before they ever filled out a form. It can match the IP address of a website visitor to an email address as soon as they fill out a form. You can then see how long someone was evaluating a product or service and which pages they viewed. Then as the lead grows, you can see which emails they've opened and clicked, and the form data they've submitted.
  • The email builder is kinda disappointing. While it's not necessarily difficult to use, the blocks and layouts available are not as expansive as some other platforms, and the ease of dragging and reordering and making it responsive on mobile is pretty lacking. The look of an email in the builder is very deceiving. The live email almost never looks like it does in the builder, especially on mobile. It hurts the trust I have in the platform when I am building emails.
SharpSpring is well suited for companies that need marketing website forms, marketing automation, or large-list email capability on a limited marketing budget. SharpSpring is not well suited for companies that have a high-touch approach to customer relationship management or customer success. The automation workflows make it very low-touch, meaning very little interaction happens between a human rep and a human lead/customer.

We use SharpSpring for our lead generation and lead management. It is used by everyone in our company. Since we have a small nucleus of salaried employees and other 1099 independent contractors, the per-seat model of other platforms didn't make sense for us, so we went with SharpSpring.
The contact management is used extensively by our salespeople that keep track of their prospects. The lead scoring helps focus on the prospects who are highly motivated and most likely to purchase. With the Visual Workflow feature, it makes it easy to build landing pages and create our funnels. The Perfect Audience feature is the retargeting process which is great to have in the app.

The social listening is great, as I am an old guy - 60 something- and I don't look at our social media much. This gives me a great view of what's going on there. I really like the social calendar to schedule my postings. Set it and forget it. Nice.

SharpSpring is currently being used by our entire team. We never had a marketing automation system or CRM in the past, so it has already been a huge improvement to our business practices. With SharpSpring we are able to cut off using other services, so we are actually paying less than we did before, but getting so much more in return! Within the first 30 days of us having it, we had run 2 separate email campaigns for 2 separate clients.
  • SharpSpring has a very quick implementation process and is very easy to learn.
  • Their representatives check in with us frequently so we never feel like we're on our own.
  • Having all of our platforms in one place and fully integrated is a huge bonus.
  • I wish you could edit Life of Lead to be able to put custom events in there.
  • Tagging on social media platform could be a little better, sometimes it doesn't work.
  • Tightening up thr copy on their own website (there was confusion if "contacts" and "leads" were the same thing; they are).
It is the best deal on marketing automation and CRM you will find on the market. You get so much for the several hundreds of dollars you pay for it in a month and can do pretty much everything all in one place. I think it caters better to smaller businesses, especially ones that don't already have a marketing automation system because they will be astounded by the immediate differences that can be made to their workflow process.

SharpSpring combines many system functions into one platform allowing for easy ROI tracking, better marketing decisions, and speed of lead conversion, all with a better bottom line.
  • Tracks the life of a lead extremely well. Allows for our sales teams to be more efficient, transfer leads through the sales funnel and monitor communications so that no information is lost.
  • Automation, based on user actions. This is the most used function and this allows for our marketing teams to deliver relevant content helping gain and convert leads to sales.
  • Social posting and monitoring.
  • Email creation. SharpSpring has an easy to use email builder so that we can develop and deploy emails quickly.
  • The site analytics is helpful but very basic.
  • It is not yet integrated with Instagram and we see huge potential there.
SharpSpring comes with all of the essentials to run effective marketing automation campaigns at a very, very competitive price. An easy user interface and features that make sense. SharpSpring has a very nice division between the sales and marketing functions making it easy for the different teams to utilize. They are always exploring and rolling out new features which is great, keeping the platform fresh.

It is being used for marketing, sales, and account management. For marketing it allows us to automate repetitive marketing activities making it easier for a team of 1 to look like a team of 10. For sales, it allows us to host all materials digitally, generate leads, and track activity of the leads that come into the CRM. It also allows us to use the sales pipeline for helping to plan internal resources and know when work will be hitting our teams. For account management, our executives have a full view of all activities, emails, forms submitted, and web pages visited in the Life of the Lead.
  • I love having a view of all email engagement, all web pages visited, all forms submitted for a single contact in a single view on Life of the Lead.
  • Anytime there is a repetitive marketing task that can be automated, I set up an automation in SharpSpring. It helps a marketing execution team of 1, act like a team of 10.
  • The trigger criteria & filters can be a bit frustrating/limiting, and I wish adding a contact to a list was as easy as running a query against a database.
  • I wish there were a user permission to allow a designer to disable the landing page CSS that users don't have access to so we didn't have to code "important" tags into the custom HTML to override the system's CSS.
Well suited for small - medium sized businesses with small teams. There isn't a way to customize user permissions to specific features of the platform, and the user permission templates don't apply to all scenarios so at times, I had to give admin access so a user had access to features needed as a part of their role.
