We have implemented SharpSpring to help our sales and marketing teams – we don't have a lot of manpower, so the time savings is very beneficial! SharpSpring ensures timely followup and messaging that's always on-brand. Additionally, it's helping us understand much earlier which prospects have the most potential and are worth the extra effort.
  • Relevant messaging – workflows and automations ensure message recipients receive versions of the communication that are tailored for their interest.
  • Great emails – lots of flexibility in sending emails and keeping a record of each recipient's response to the email.
  • Easy to build automations.
  • SharpSpring forms are a little limited, although they do integrate with other forms.
  • Elements of the system aren't intuitive, but the documentation is pretty robust so you're usually able to find an answer.
  • The client billing is weird. There are workarounds, but typically I don't have my software subscriptions bill clients directly.
SharpSpring is great if you're looking for ways to take your website and online marketing experience to the next level. It's particularly useful in a sales-oriented environment, but maybe not as helpful with industries that aren't specifically trying to sell something.

SharpSpring offers a powerful and feature-rich CRM and marketing automation solution that is available for a very affordable price compared to competing platforms. It's relatively easy to use and has a great support team that is quick to help with any issues. Email deliverability with SharpSpring has been better than any other platform due to its strict compliance department. They are constantly adding new features that add additional value. It's also nice that they only have one tier, unlike other platforms that have tiered pricing models.
  • Email deliverability has been absolutely wonderful. We've seen better open rates than any other platform.
  • Support is very responsive and helpful. I've never had an issue getting help with a problem with a quick turnaround.
  • It offers a very rich set of features for an affordable price. They're always adding new features and improving value.
  • Landing page builder is a bit clunky.
  • With the software always changing, there are the occasional bugs.
SharpSpring is great for a medium-sized business that is interested in marketing automation but cannot afford competing platforms. It offers a rich feature set for a very affordable price. You can easily integrate your web forms, CRM, landing pages, social media, PPC, retargeting, sales, and more all in one place.

I use SharpSpring for the purpose of marketing automation for consulting clients. I use it across the whole organization. The main business problems I solve are marketing and sales problems. Marketing problems include creating lead pages, using behavior based emails, and figuring out triggers for lead opportunity. The sales issues I encounter are keeping track of sale opportunity and tracking wins vs loses over the course of a month.
  • The behavior based emails are easy to use.
  • The visual workflows are easy to use.
  • The communication is with staff is superb.
  • The certification videos could have been a bit better. Sometimes the audio was really low.
  • The billing took forever to come out. They only do ACH withdrawal. They need to offer same day opportunity for payment.
SharpSpring is well suited for an agency needing help tracking leads or for marketing automation. My niche is consulting agencies. I offer marketing automation for female owned consulting agencies. SharpSpring is less appropriate for someone wanting to teach a class and needing a platform such as Kajabi or Teachable. I haven't used the platform for a daycare but I believe the service is suited best for business models that provide services or B2B.

SharpSpring has different applications in our organization, it allows keeping in contact with Sales, administration, and Marketing teams.

The Marketing team designs and configures different campaigns using landing pages and emails that can have dynamic content. Registering a campaign and building workflows help to assign automatically where the lead comes from. This let us built a complete report of how many leads each campaign generates, the cost per lead, and detail on how many opportunities we had lost and won.

The Sales team can know exactly which lead they need to contact in the right moment, using automated notifications with the lead scoring, they also can send custom e-mails to each prospect to share content and media that gives us more value for the lead and each Sales team can organize its work plan using the task manager and meetings tool.

Finally, the team's administration review can be used to generate reports of all the pipelines using the CRM of the platform to determine the audit status of each opportunity and communicating with sales using custom fields with automatic notifications.

If you are planning an email campaign to your contact list, you can configure AB testing, monitoring the lead scoring, automate to send more information depending on the result, schedule a report to your boss, and compare similar campaigns with tags to get better in the next email campaign

You can configure custom fields to follow each group of tasks that Sales must make in each stage of the pipeline with a checklist, send billing information automatically, notify the administration area to validate payments, and receive emails to advertise when a payment has been validated.

As a digital marketing solutions provider to the automotive sector, we evaluated many email marketing automation platforms before we decided on SharpSpring. Looking back, it was one of the smartest decisions we made.

We previously had two different platforms for email marketing and a separate CRM. Now with SharpSpring, we have a truly integrated system with email marketing and CRM on a single platform.

The SharpSpring email marketing automation offers us the ability to execute campaigns from basic email blasts to sophisticated email drip campaigns for our automotive clients. We love the fact you can add more features and capabilities to a client's campaign over time with relative ease. The level of activity tracking related to our client email campaigns are helpful. Reporting capabilities are solid and highlights what's important. Our team loves the SharpSpring platform.
  • How all the pieces that support email marketing automation campaigns are integrated together.
  • Their CRM (Contact Manager) doesn't get enough good press; it's robust.
  • We've spoken to some of their senior support folks; they offer both technical advice and recommendations to enhance our email marketing strategy.
  • The initial on-boarding process was not as clear or consistent as it could have been.
  • Most of the account managers we worked with were great; we wish we could not have them change so often.
  • I understand it has to do with the tax law, but having SharpSpring billing each client a minimum amount each month is always a chore to explain.
SharpSpring is well suited for any digital agency or business that wants to run anything between basic email blasts to sophisticated email marketing automation drip campaigns. It handles scale for many agency clients or subsidiaries of large companies very well.

If you're interested in just basic email blasts, SharpSpring may be an overkill.

We are currently using SharpSpring in our web, sales and marketing departments. We use the CRM that SharpSpring offers to track leads and share those with our sales team to pursue. We use the email templates, page templates and form custom builder to create content that generate leads again for the sales team to track and pursue, which all fit and flow seamlessly with our current e-commerce store. There is also the nice option to listen and monitor all of your social media channels from a single dashboard. The two main problems that SharpSpring has fixed was lack of leads and disorganization, both have improved greatly for our organization since signing up with SharpSpring.
  • SharpSpring has a great on-boarding process and virtual classroom that covers every option and function you have available when using the SharpSpring software.
  • Post on-boarding support is very responsive and answers all of your questions 110%. What I mean by 110% is they solve your issue and also suggest other things that might relate or help you in terms of the category your issue originated from.
  • Updates! SharpSpring keeps improving their software constantly and always finding better ways to market and engage with your audience. These updates always come free and with an explanation so you know exactly what you are getting into.
  • I feel that SharpSpring may initially be overwhelming at first to first time users of Marketing Automation Software. There is so much that comes with the platform that the first time using it may be intimidating to beginners. That quickly fades away because of their support system.
  • The email template creator could use some improvement in terms of positioning elements and content exactly how you want it. It looks and works great but at the same time can be quite rigid.
SharpSpring will absolutely help get your marketing department organized and more efficient. Make sure you have the time to thoroughly complete the virtual classroom because with so many options and tools SharpSpring may seem overwhelming at first to first time Marketing Automation Software users but it is so worth it in the end! Due to the tools offered I really can't see a scenario that SharpSpring wouldn't be suited for, the software is very customizable to your needs.

Additionally we consult with clients on adoption of the SharpSpring platform, implement the setup and provide training for all users within the organisation.
  • Product innovation.

  • This is almost like being punished for good behaviour, but because so much energy is invested in the product roadmap and bringing fantastic new features on board, some of the original features could do with a face lift! This is not a problem but simple things like the file manager area being a bit clunky now and ability to add folders within folders would be useful.
  • The new billing platform has been problematic.
SharpSpring is a really fabulous tool for organisations who are currently using a number of platforms that are in silos. SharpSpring gives visibility to organisations by being the tool that can replace or connect existing apps to create one platform.

SharpSpring has integrated and enormously powerful analytics. Intuitive interface where it matters to get up and running quickly. I was able to create emails and landing pages quickly and easily, which then provided analytics and leads to potential clients. Because SharpSpring integrates the marketing, sales, analytics and design aspect into one, the software also has also provided the staff members an opportunity to better understand and actually SEE what we all do to make our company run. It's been a great tool for getting us more collaborative amongst ourselves and therefore more effective with our mutual mission: bring business in the door.

SharpSpring is a very good match for our customers because it is easy to use and the price is affordable. We are still in the running of being better at using SharpSpring within our own organization so we can use our own experience when helping our clients.
  • Life of the lead is the best overview compared to other Marketing Automation platforms.
  • It is easy to connect Zapier and Databox.
  • The support is awesome and they are very quick at replying.
  • Our Account Manager Chloe is the best! She has been a great help solving some important tasks for our clients.
  • It would be nice if the return bottom only went one step backwards especially in the mail function.
  • One of my clients really wants the old sales dashboard back.
  • Improve the merge function and make it possible to keep two mail addresses on the same profile. Often the leads we get from LinkedIn are a private mail like a gmail and when we start a dialog we use the corporate mail.
It is great value compared with the price but there is still room for improvement and developing more features.

We use it as a sales tool and a marketing automation platform. It has really become our content hub for understanding who are qualified leads are and how to best target them/when to target them. Terms of creating emails - this is one of the better platforms I have had the experience of working with.

I recommend the tool as a Customer Management System (CRM) and encourage users to include as much information about their contacts as possible to an even greater return. SharpSpring continues to improve too, enabling us to do even more. We appreciate the ability to submit tickets or comments about the improvements we'd love to see. We're always received with openness and gratitude.

All of our employees use SharpSpring right now. We use it for CRM management, marketing automation, content creation, social media, and are branching into using even more of its capabilities soon.
  • It's very easy to keep track of everything a lead has done, in one place (opened emails, clicks, forms filled out, etc). Makes analyzing your customers simple!
  • Workflows and action groups make everything from simple tasks to complex projects much easier for you, saving you tons of time.
  • SharpSpring's customer support is unmatched. Whether I've submitted support tickets or used the instant chat feature, I am always met with friendly, helpful, and timely assistance from SharpSpring employees.
  • I'm still fairly new to SharpSpring, so I haven't run into any big problems yet.
SharpSpring has been very useful in email campaigns for us so far. First, list creation and tagging features have helped to create the groups that we want to segment people into. Next, the email creation feature is pretty straightforward when you get the hang of it. Inserting images, buttons, and tracking have all been easy. Finally, being able to funnel people into different lists/groups based off of how they respond (what button they click in the email for example) has helped tremendously with marketing automation and making our life easier for future campaigns.

We having been using SharpSpring for about six months. We use the software for our own marketing agency business and are starting to introduce and implement it for specific existing clients and prospects.

Our main reason for using SharpSpring is its ability to track and attribute leads. So, it solves the business problem of attributing a person to a lead instead of leads being associated as part of a group of statistics like hits, or visits or engagement.

SharpSpring is well suited for businesses who care about and require sales followup. Because SharpSpring can prove who a lead is and the lead's interest in a product or service, the sales team has to want to go in and follow up and close the deal. SharpSpring would work well with companies that have a long sales cycle. SharpSpring can shorten that sales cycle.

SharpSpring is a great tool for supporting inbound marketing, lead-gen and lead nurture programs. It works well for any organization that has a sales force...allowing us to feed leads right into the sales team and monitor progress/results. For the c-level execs we work with, the reporting tools create the visibility necessary to justify the program and report ROI.

For those clients that ONLY need/want a social media service, email marketing or similarly limited engagements, SharpSpring is a bazooka when they only wanted a flyswatter. A Cadillac for the Kia client.

SharpSpring allows us to fully track the entire life of our leads across all channels, and intelligently automates our follow-ups and lead nurturing. It has allowed us to consolidate several SaaS platforms into a single dashboard, and gives us increased analytics beyond anything we were using before. The technical and strategic support from the SS team is unmatched in my experience for enterprise level software.

SharpSpring functioned as both our CRM and our marketing intelligence suite, replacing Salesforce. As a start-up, we needed something scalable, that integrated well with other platforms and we found that our team never really utilized Salesforce when we had it in place. With SharpSpring, we were able to demonstrate value very quickly, garnering strong user buy-in and helping the system become a core part of our daily business practice without requiring an excessive lift from the management team or leadership staff. It was great for managing mailing lists, tracking engagement, lead strength, and queuing the growth team regarding optimal timing and outreach techniques.

I generally work with educational, startup, and nonprofit organizations (think limited team and limited dollars); SharpSpring is perfect for this scenario. That said, you need at least one dedicated user who is willing to push other work aside to make marketing intelligence THEIR LIFE or it isn't worth trying. The main use of SharpSpring by our organization is for lead nurturing and generation through email marketing campaigns. We support these with landing pages. We utilize SharpSprings automation features for creating and executing various workflows. We then send internal notifications and store appropriate CRM info in the system related to the leads. It is being used exclusively by the marketing and sales department. This software allows us to stay connected to our customers/audience, nurture them with relevant info (ex. if they attended our webinar then we follow up with related information and helpful documents), and create collaboration opportunities for our sales team.
  • Automating the system to notify sales that a particular lead has taken a certain action on your emails or landing pages.
  • Behavior-based marketing allows different triggers to be set so customers experience a customized set of emails, landing pages, and/or content.
  • Great customer support and ticket process. Our account manager is great and the live chat has always been helpful.
  • Email builder can be a bit clunky at times.
  • Needs improvement in creating custom data field history so it remembers old data that was overwritten (without having to use integration with Zapier).
  • Trackable mailto: links would be nice.
A great scenario where SharpSpring excels is when we put a lead (or list) in a drip campaign, we can create customized 'report cards' that send out to lead owners. What happens is we start a lead on a campaign, and follow this up with an email that has relevant custom field data that is sent to the lead owner with all the lead info and campaign details. The lead owner can then click the link and view the whole lead history (life of the lead) in SharpSpring directly. From there we can easily report on basic email metrics, but also keep track of who clicked what to see know what they were interested in. SharpSpring lets us track everything they do on a landing page, if they fill out a form, download something, etc. We get a look into the user's whole experience so that next time we can target them with their specific needs/interests.

For a small marketing agency, this tool is perfect. It allows us to use automation to streamline our day-to-day workflow and keep up on things that a small sales team could not keep up with. I highly recommend this platform to marketing agencies!

Though it is packed full of resources, I would recommend other solutions for large enterprise level companies that are looking for other enterprise features in addition to what SharpSpring is offering.
