We use SharpSpring across the entire business for lead generation, sales commission tracking, existing and incoming client communication, and various tracking/reporting purposes. SharpSpring allows us to properly store and track information on leads after we have obtained them. We can organize our sales team and the sales teams of our clients so that proper reporting and ROI can be obtained from the sales side of things.

SharpSpring is great for building and organizing your inbound Marketing funnel. It will allow you to properly manage your sales team and even includes training for then internally. It's pretty powerful and can be resold to other businesses so if you focus on optimizing business sales teams it could be perfect for you.

We help our customers to grow with a proactive inbound marketing and sales strategy. SharpSpring is one of the marketing automation tools we use to support such a strategy. It helps us to optimize ads on social media, SEA and SEO, because the software shows the origin of a generated lead, and history of web visits, even prior to the opt-in moment.

SharpSping is a good alternative to HubSpot, with a greater value for money. If you have a real ambition to proactively grow your marketing and sales, and you want to learn from your campaigns to optimize them, then SharpSpring is great. Also if you a variety of good lead pages. If you only work with single funnels/campaigns and one or two lead pages, you can probably work with a combination of website pages and ActiveCampaign for forms.

In marketing, it is used for sending all marketing emails, tracking personas/leads, automating campaigns, and other valuable efforts. Within sales, I use the CRM functionality to manage leads, track opportunities, and build pipelines. I also use the automated workflows to build out cadences that save time and allow for more uniform contact with prospects.

As a small company, SharpSpring is able to provide plenty of cross-team functionality between marketing and sales. We're able to keep all of our customer and prospect data in one place and easily keep track. Data reporting isn't ideal as it is with other CRMs, but it isn't necessarily a requirement for some organizations.

Overall it works very well and we are still learning and implementing different features. We did not have a grand vision when we started so it has taken some time to put everything together to get the full value out of the system

SharpSpring has also introduced us to the customer journey and given us a method to track our marketing activities. SharpSpring has provided us with an added bonus in making us an "agency." As an agency, we are able to offer SharpSpring services to our clientele or others as a reseller.

I have experience using Sales Force, but find SharpSpring a better client relationship tool. It is also a critical tool for our marketing initiatives.

SharpSpring is being used by our marketing and sales departments to manage leads and opportunities. It is not used across the whole organization, just within these two departments. It helps to organize our leads as well as organize our sales pipeline. The sales team specifically uses SharpSpring to house personal, professional, and service related information about potential clients as well as housing our sales pipeline where we keep track of current and past opportunities. Marketing uses SharpSpring for lead generation and tracking as well as email automations.

We use SharpSpring as our main contact database for our professional community/network. We have various events that we hold, and I use it for sending emails and for maintaining lists of attendees. We also use it for building our e-newsletter signup list (from our website) and sending out our newsletters. I have also used it for landing pages, to create signup forms for events, join our network, download our research paper, etc. SharpSpring allows us to gather all of this information in an organized fashion, and communicate with these contacts easily and efficiently.
  • Contact Lists - I like the way I can organize, import, etc. lists and create campaigns to associate those lists to.
  • Automation - I like that I can automate emails, notifications, etc. whenever an event occurs (i.e., someone fills out a form)
  • Email reporting - I like the detailed email reports with statistics
  • Landing page templates - not a lot of flexibility here on being able to customize. I have experience in html/web design, so it would help me if I was able to have more freedom in working with the page code.
  • Custom Fields (organization) - I use a lot of custom fields, and I would like a way to categorize or organize them on the Custom Fields tab. They can be placed in folders and organized in the Custom Fields Manager; however, when I'm in a Contact record, I have to scroll all the way down to the ones I need a lot of times, and if they could be tabbed or color-coded so I can find the ones I need faster that would be helpful.
  • Bulk Upload for Media - I upload a lot of assets to the Media, and it would be helpful to have a bulk upload option.
I think that SharpSpring is well suited for keeping and organizing contact lists, and sending emails. I don't really use it for ROI on contacts or leads currently. I think it has a great form collect/automation process. It can be integrated into other 3rd party (Zapier, WordPress) fairly easily; however, I would suggest developing an integration for Wix. Customer Service is always awesome and quick to respond.

SharpSpring is being used by the marketing department at the moment and it's been incredibly helpful in capturing potential clients.
  • SharpSpring helps you automate many of the boring repetitive tasks that people normally get tired or even forget to do.
  • It helps you with marketing by allowing you to use ready made email templates to send quick important updates to your clients.
  • As part of the marketing potential built into SharpSpring, you can also plan marketing campaigns, send them to your contact lists on SharpSpring and later keep track of all the relevant email metadata, such as, clicks, open, responded, and so on and so forth. You can also quickly generate very graphic reports to visualize your data.
  • SharpSpring also helps you automate responses to well-known requests to action by allowing to set up an action flow chart. This can help save your sales people loads of time that they can better spend tending to issues that are more important or pressing to capture new clients.
  • I believe sending emails should not take you to email templates by default. Perhaps I am not fully familiar with how that works, but when I click on send email, by default, it takes me to an email template for me to edit. I like that functionality but sometimes I want to create a new email quickly and send it to multiple clients.
  • The platform stability is something that must be forefront to prevent down time which can result in delays, loss of productivity and frustration for the user and the clients.
  • SharpSpring should come with a training interface where users can mock or fake transactions and different operations without necessarily affecting their real operations. It would be something like, play around all you want here for you to understand how the platform can make your job easier.
SharpSpring is great to do mailing and keep track of your different to do lists. It allows you to track the entire history of a lead and score the lead based on their level of interaction with or interest in your marketing campaign products. It also allows you to automatically reply to your clients who might need a price list, a catalogue or any quick information and documents such as attachments and the like.

The only time when SharpSpring might not very suited to manage your clients is when you lose connection with the server and cannot access your clients or any information stored on the platform. As long as your internet is working fine and the server is up, everything should be in tip top condition for your company's success.

I love the CRM, the updated email builder and the form integration on our website. I would like the ability to tag accounts/users when scheduling social posts. It is an awesome tool for small to medium-sized organizations. It is easy to set it up and get it running. The problem that we are facing at the moment is the CRM integration. We don't use SharpSpring for our CRM, we only use it for the marketing function. So, I would recommend it to teams that are ready to use SharpSpring as both their marketing + CRM tool.

I am the primary user of SharpSpring in a marketing admin capacity. SharpSpring is linked to our Salesforce and I have a team of sales professional that use the software regularly. I use SharpSpring to build marketing funnels, track engagement, send outbound email communications, build lead nurturing funnels/landing pages, track media resources, and use the page builder to build out other subdomain marketing assets like demos site, product launch site, and more. All in an effort to convert leads/prospects to pass on to my reps and then continue to engage them past first conversion.

SharpSpring gives me the marketing automation infrastructure I need to build my companies modern sophisticated marketing apparatus to engage and capture new leads and then continue the nurturing process till the final sale...and beyond.
  • Building Landing Page Funnels - Runs on Bootstrap and is easy to modify
  • Straight Forward Action Based Automations - Simple workflow are easy
  • Email Builder is great - They've made big improvement in this area
  • Custom Form Field - Weakest point of the software for me. Hard to make custom field and options are limited
  • Nuanced Automations are Hard - Lacking some more advanced automation capacities and options
  • Hard Bounces / Suppressions - Very aggressive suppression engine means that active subscribers are "bounced" then removed from email lists suddenly without much recourse
SharpSpring is a great choice for a small team running on a budget. It has most the big features you'd expect from a full stack marketing automation system. I think it's essential to have a savvy marketing automation user to use the software to it's full capacity though.

We're a marketing automation company and use SharpSpring for all our clients, to set up funnels, email automations and build an inbound marketing strategy. Many of our clients don't have a strategy in place and don't capture all the leads available to them through forms and chatbots, and we help them with them

  • Easier to navigate. Being able to go backwards in the browser and keep all the settings.
For an overall inbound marketing strategy, it's very powerful and connects the marketing department to the sales department. The automations are specifically very powerful where you have a lot of options for triggers, filters and actions. You also have delayed action and the possibility of setting actions in advance, for example before a specific date.

At my company, SharpSpring is used by the marketing and sales department. Through Sharpspring, we are trying to manage all the marketing and sales strategies in the same place. From landing pages and leads management to PDF contents and reports, it is all in SharpSpring.
  • A very complete and cheap tool to organize all of my companies marketing and sales efforts.
  • The versatility and quantity of information it can gather.
  • The layout of the software could be more friendly.
It is a very good tool to organize content, automate the delivery of it, and see the actions that the leads do over time. The user needs time to understand the platform and get the most of it. It isn't very intuitive at first.

SharpSpring is being used by our whole organization. Our sales team mainly focuses on the CRM portion, helping us focus on current prospects, and keeping our sales team very organized. It also lets us compare month-to-month how we are performing.

Our marketing team uses it for email campaigns and tracking software that comes with it. It helps us differentiate where customers come in, why they were interested, and what marketing materials they would prefer.
  • Email Campaigns. Lets me attack my potential clients with the correct marketing focal points.
  • Marketing Analytics. Lets me track what is and isn't working. Helps for improving sales goals.
  • Media. It makes it very easy to apply video testimonials and visual presentations in smart mail.
  • CRM doesn't seem like the biggest focus at times. But they are helpful when taking feedback.
  • Every now and then they will have a beta mode that isn't fully ready for a new feature, and it makes my sales team a bit slower at times.
If you are a business-to-business sales company, there is no reason not to use this software. It's reliable, the marketing functionality is superb, the price is a bargain in comparison to their competition, and when they do have a flaw in their system, the feedback from support is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

SharpSpring is being used by me and several other reps who have been working with a company for a few years. It was the CRM that was selected to manage the sales data and move opportunities throughout the sales process. It's a way for multiple users to create and store data about a variety of sales opportunities without overlapping, while also giving management visibility into potential deals to help with budgeting.
  • Moves deals through the sales process. It's very easy to update the sales pipeline.
  • Ease of use. It was very easy for me to learn SharpSpring and continue to use it.
  • Adding contacts and opportunities is simple, and it will warn the user before creating a duplicate contact.
  • A rep on my team had an issue early on where she was locked out for a couple [of] days. SharpSpring's tech team responded right away and worked intensely on it, but she was limited in her access during that time.
  • The reporting and analytics functioning, while just fine for [my] needs as they show a clear view of my opportunities, [maybe] limited over some larger CRM names. In fairness[,] I haven't fully needed all the capabilities and there may be more than I'm aware of.
  • My company has set up some additional security [...] so that users are prompted to enter a code on occasion when logging in. While this feature is a benefit, as a user it's a minor inconvenience as I need to remember where I've stored the codes.
For a small sales organization[,] SharpSpring has been terrific. It's very easy to get up to speed, there aren't a whole lot of bells and whistles, and it's really not possible to break something. I've used other CRM's that are more robust and clunky; there are a ton of customizable fields, and it takes a while to enter an opportunity and move it through the sales process. With SharpSpring, I'm sure it can be customized, but the way we have it set up it's really [easy] to move an opportunity through the process. For a larger sales organization that needs additional reporting features and customization, I'm not positive if SharpSpring would be a fit as I'm not aware of some of [its] features, but I would definitely give it a look.

SharpSpring is our enterprise CRM. It's used for database marketing, email generation, [email] sending, campaign tracking, and sales organization. We have a lot of segments in our industry. SharpSpring is used to keep them organized and help us [to] effectively market to them. Our sales team needs to know about lead activity and to keep their opportunity flow up to date and visible.
  • SharpSpring is a great platform for email marketing. We use it to organize our content, market to each of our segment lists, and then analyze campaigns.
  • SharpSpring is effective for campaign tracking. We use it to find where leads come from and [...] how to effectively manage each of our segment-focused campaigns.
  • The "Life of a Lead" is an excellent feature within SharpSpring. This highly visual tool allows us to view detailed activity by each of our leads - from emails they open to what web pages they visit.
  • The email builder within SharpSpring is usable, but definitely not user friendly. I recommend building the emails elsewhere and importing the code.
  • The sales management tool could use a few more default reports beyond those that are currently available.
  • Their customer service is great, but I think the training could use some improvement. In fact, we've had to go outside for some of our user training.
Email marketing is definitely a strength of SharpSpring. It's easy to create, schedule and target emails. We have [sixty] segments that we market to, so this is a huge plus for us. Automation is easy to set up and modify, even if you have a complex use case.

The reports are very detailed and it's easy to download them.

Our sales team wants to know which leads are hot prospects, so we use the lead scoring function to provide that visibility. In several cases, we have customized the lead score values, and that has helped our Team improve their outreach.

The Life of a Lead function has the [team] most excited, as it's easy to see exactly what web pages a prospect has clicked on, what emails they have opened, and how they found us in the first place. In this way, we know what each prospect is most interested in.

The Launch Pad also helps our Team know what's new at a glance when they first log in.

As agency we use it to keep contact with our group of clients and users in order to create ambassadors. They are the magnets for new clients.
We use it in all phases of the customer journey and on a long term flow with connections to our ERP and all marketing channels.

On the other side we support our clients by implementing SharpSpring on a high level use. To use it as salesteam, marketing team, social media marketing and as a business tool to report, finetune and predict daily and future marketing efforts and sales results.
We believe that marketing and sales are changing rapidly and winners will be those who are able to build day by day a system that is superior in content, flow and processes then those of the competition, and in sync with the business financial leverage possibilities.

Our agency's marketing team uses SharpSpring to build and send emails, build forms and landing pages, manage our website's contact inquiries and employee communications. We also manage our blog subscriber lists and contact database there. It's easy to use, has loads of helpful articles for whatever task we have questions about, and the support team has always been helpful if we've had issues.
  • The email builder has several great templates, as well as many layout and element options to customize.
  • Landing pages can be made quickly and easily, and it doesn't take an expert to learn.
  • The contact limit and email limit are amazing for the cost, compared to other platforms we researched.
  • Sometimes in the email or landing page builder, the text formatting option disappears, so I've learned how to edit inside the HTML code. Inconvenience has led to a new skill, but it's still frustrating.
  • I would like to see more customizable options for RSS emails.
  • I'd like to have the ability to copy sections of an email or landing page for use in another layout, within the builder. I know this can be done via HTML, but I'm not that knowledgeable.
SharpSpring is well-suited for agencies managing multiple clients as it allows for different client profiles, each with their own contact database and customized dashboard. They also provide great webinars and learning opportunities focused on the agency client audience. It's also great for agencies managing their own prospective and current client lists, as there is a high contact limit allowance.

I use it to manage my connections both internal to my business as well as external—client-facing. It is used across all areas of the business. I also resell and onboard agencies/clients onto the platform. The problems it addresses are around marketing & communication automation and integration, having 1 holistic view of the customer.
  • Connect digital platforms to be able to track accross them all.
  • Automate internal & external workflows.
  • Integrate with other 3rd party software with ease.
  • The support team is great at resolving queries & helpful suggestions.
  • Referral & Partner Programs are well setup & run.
  • Adding a data integration partner will assist in making the management and flow of data better.
  • More local/country support as regards advocacy and awareness.
  • Single sign-on for multiple accounts over different agencies & clients.
It is well suited and adaptable to any environment/organization/need. Based on its pricing and service offering, it is easier to get it into an organization, especially since I know it has great value and measurement of ROI. As a marketing agency, we were a reseller of SharpSpring's marketing automation product. It is used by our customers to run email, social and website engagement campaigns on their ecommerce webstores. We regularly ran email newsletters, lead gen, abandoned cart follow up, and other types of campaigns for our customers. We also used the API to build custom integrations.
  • Good entry level price point for small companies who want enterprise features
  • Easy to implement into the website
  • Customizable to individual organizations needs.
  • Account management is inattentive and slow to respond to inquiries
  • Leadership does not empower account managers to fix customer problems
  • Billing and accounting mistakes are frequent and challenging to resolve
  • Account and relationship terms are often changed without notice, or buried inside marketing messages.
SharpSpring's product is quite functional and largely works as advertised. I would recommend it to a company who is comfortable being self-reliant in their use of the software, and willing to work around bugs when they do come up. The problems with SharpSpring are almost entirely inside the administration of the company. Your front-line support and account reps are friendly and responsive, but not empowered to make decisions or help solve customer problems. When escalated to higher-ups in the company, relationships become very challenging. On at least 5 occasions we brought up serious issues, and gave up on resolving them after reaching the point of exhaustion.

Our entire organization uses some feature or the entire software. Our sales guys use Opportunities & CRM, our Marketing uses the email and automation features for drip campaigns and our finance team used Accounts to cross-reference any accounting contact issues. The rest of the team uses Contact Management to leave special account notes or communicate internally regarding a particular order or lead. SharpSpring creates a centralized software solution for our growing business.
  • Pipeline management: keeping what sales leads and sales opportunities move through the funnel to ensure each salesperson is constantly working leads and closing deals.
  • Contact Management is a great CRM element that integrates with sales opportunities, marketing automation while monitoring the life of the lead elements.
  • Notes are a huge element to keeping pertinent information readily available in a centralized location within each Lead Contact.
  • The social platform integration is not something we rely on, primarily because there are other platforms that specialize in these areas.
  • Mobile integration via a more robust app or better formatting for mobile browsers could be improved.
This is a great software that adds extreme value to our organization. It's a 9/10 because there is always room for a little improvement, but, overall, this is a great platform for our team. Every part of our organization utilizes some form of the platform. I would not recommend this for a robust $100M business that has 50k leads annually as the software seems as if it will get overwhelmed. I do feel that this is an incredible software for the start-up to $50M business.

We were looking for a robust solution for our sales pipeline and lead management integrated with our email marketing. We are currently using for both sales and for marketing automation, and we are so happy with the capabilities of the tool. It allows us to have sophisticated marketing automation workflows, visitor ID tracking, lead scoring, email segmentation and personalization, reporting and analytics all integrated with our sales pipeline, sales opportunity automations, sales team assignments, and our won/lost reporting. The added features of chatbox, book time, paid advertising, and social listening make this an incredibly broad tool that can be the anchor of a complete sales and marketing team.

It may not be quite as smooth, but the functional capabilities are all there. It takes a bit more time to configure the workflows, but it's time well spent once it's all up and running. It's perfect for small businesses that want marketing automation and a sales platform without making such a huge financial commitment.
