SharpSpring is much more affordable than HubSpot and has a lot fewer variables that can potentially increase the cost of the software. That comes at a cost on the UX/UI side and some of the bells and whistles. But overall SharpSpring is a great tool for email and marketing automation for companies that don't have enterprise budgets. SharpSpring's landing page and email builder are much better in my opinion.

SharpSpring blows away any standard email marketing platform. SharpSpring is our first run with automation, but when it comes to email deliverability, personalization, and drip campaigns it is substantially better than any other email platform for a price that is extremely competitive.

SharpSpring stacks up because of prize, functions, and usability. They are almost as good as Hubspot but cost a fraction. Their great onboarding program was also an important factor. Finally, it was essential that SharpSpring has a good and open API so we can connect it to our other system for optimization.

The agency previously used HubSpot but switched to SharpSpring just prior to me commencing my employment. SharpSpring was a comparatively cheap alternative to HubSpot, whilst still being an equally flexible and effective tool within the marketing world. One feature that stood out was the data management element and the ability to track the progress of each individual lead very closely with an automated notification reminder system. This was an essential feature for us as we are running large scale campaigns across multiple geographic territories so we need that support.

I didn't choose SharpSpring over Salesforce, as SharpSpring was already here when I took this role but comparatively speaking, I feel that SharpSpring is better suited for a small organization like ours, who's focus right now is on raising capital for a very unique niche/space, when talking about cannabis.

We looked at several other platforms before choosing SharpSpring. We obviously looked at Salesforce. We also considered Nutshell, HubSpot, Zoho and Sugar CRM. What really sold us on ShaprSpring was a couple of major factors. One, it is designed for agencies to resell to their clients. They understand our needs and have devised a perfect platform for taking care of our clients. And two, the amount of valuable features for the simple, flat-rate price was so superior to other platforms it just became a no-brainer. Throw in the fact that there is no contract and it is by far the best solution.

We used Salesfusion for a few years prior to moving to SharpSpring. With Salesfusion it was hard to set-up the CRM and email broadcast. Salesfusion, when merging with SugarCRM, removed custom data fields, and we could no longer see the data value in the contact record. It became very hard to create a new contact, and for more than a month, our sales did not even have access to the CRM functions because they distorted their user profiles and couldn't get some of them to work.

We chose SharpSpring as they embody the Agency model - we re-sell SS to clients. Other platforms sell direct to clients so the role of an agency to provide assistance to use the platform is secondary. The price of SS is also far more attractive than bigger platforms such as Hubspot - there is a comparison page on the SS website which shows both feature-for-feature and by price how they compare.
