SiteExecutive is being used across the entire organization as a platform through which we can manage all of our content online. It helps us personalize and customize solutions to aid various departments around campus in communicating their messages clearly and effectively.
  • User-friendly
  • Intuitive
  • Content type options available for use are plentiful and varied
  • Glitches happen more frequently than I'd like them to
  • Limited options for formatting and organization within blog applications
We recently put our alumni magazine online so viewers can read it digitally. SiteExecutive has been great for this project as it allowed us to easily create new templates and styling options specifically suited for our purposes.

  • External constituents are able to clearly see our mission, goals, and programs (i.e: we are successfully attracting potential students and their families)
  • Faculty and staff are able to be directly involved in how their department is represented
WordPress is another CMS that I've used within a professional setting. Despite the cost difference, SiteExecutive is well worth the investment. Its functionality is much, much greater (they can't really be compared on the same level) and I have more freedom for customization and creating EXACTLY what I need.

Our organization uses SiteExecutive to manage our company's website, and it is being used across the whole organization. SiteExecutive addresses our need to post information about our upcoming events, share resources available, accept registrations and RSVPs, collect feedback and event announcements from users, collection grant applications and accept file submissions, and connect with audience via social networks.
  • SiteExecutive provides a simple basic and convenient interface for creating and updating webpages.
  • Easy way to create web forms, set up a confirmation webpage, and send a confirmation email.
  • Integration with YouTube allows us to quickly embed the most recent videos to our website automactically as well as choose specific videos by date or title.
  • Text editing field needs improvements as what you see while editing often differs from how the edited text will actually appear on a webpage.
  • SiteExecutive presents too many situations when inexperienced users can "lock" a webpage or a form from editing. While being trained on how to use SiteExecutive, everybody was extensively warned about the proper way to save and exit the editing mode. And even though I have extensive experience using SiteExecutive, I happened to lock the above mentioned items, and had to request assistance from someone with extended access, and wait for it to be resolved.
  • There are too many ways and places to save images for uploading to webpages, no consistency, and often times I see how my colleagues save images at a wrong default location, and I am spending time looking for the needed resources. It is not a critical feature, but needs some improvements.
I cannot provide any specific scenarios where SiteExecutive would be better suited or less appropriate. I have experience working with two other Content Management Systems, and I gave SiteExecutive a rating of 9 out of 10. In comparison to other interfaces, SiteExecutive is not quite there yet with ideal user interface; drag-and-drop features are not available; it is not mobile friendly just yet.
