SiteSpect is widely used as a primary A/B and MVT tool by various companies, including Digital & Wise and Expedia/Hotels.com. Companies choose SiteSpect for its robustness and flexibility compared to other testing tools. It has been used concurrently with other testing solutions, proving its reliability. The IT group primarily administers the tool, while the Marketing Department defines the tests and target campaigns.

Digital & Wise leverages SiteSpect's Conversion Rate Optimization Services to support their clients. The platform offers a fully managed testing service, allowing clients to take A/B and Multivariate testing seriously and build strong testing cultures within their business. SiteSpect is promoted as the right tool for the job due to its testing and targeting capabilities and quick deployment time.

In a Fortune 50 e-Commerce environment, SiteSpect is used to optimize sales and enhance the guest experience on web and mobile sites. Users value SiteSpect for its ability to alter code on the front-end before rendering, eliminating flickering or flashing caused by JavaScript changes. The tool also enables rapid implementation of hotfixes across entire websites. Expedia/Hotels.com has been using SiteSpect for three years and considers it the most powerful testing tool on the market.

Overall, SiteSpect has proven to be a versatile and reliable solution for companies looking to improve their digital experiences, optimize conversions, and implement fast fixes across their websites.

Users commonly recommend the following when using SiteSpect:

  1. Test before purchasing: It is suggested to test SiteSpect before making a purchase to ensure it meets specific needs and requirements.

  2. Work with support team and account representatives: Collaborating closely with the support team and account representatives of SiteSpect helps users learn how to use the platform effectively and get the most out of its features.

  3. Use code-based editor: Many users suggest utilizing the code-based editor instead of the visual editor in SiteSpect. This allows for more advanced customization and flexibility in creating tests and experiments.

It is important to note that while SiteSpect is considered a powerful platform for server-side testing, technical expertise is required for setup and administration. Users also recommend running a pilot with a clear set of tests before fully implementing SiteSpect. Additionally, involving key developers in meetings with SiteSpect sales can help fully understand the tool's requirements. Despite the higher costs, SiteSpect is often recommended for larger sites due to its scalability and agility without impacting performance.

Based on what we have experienced with the Adobe Test & Target with regards to Web page load issues, we like how SiteSpect doesn't interfere with the load issues.

I'm no longer at the company where I used SiteSpect, but based on my 18+ months as the manager responsible for the use of SiteSpect, I'd definitely recommend continuing with the product. I've since recommended it to one other company. SiteSpect has been a great business partner - the level of customer support that I got was outstanding over the time that I used the product.

Our clients who use our fully managed A/B and Multivariate testing services have been extremely happy with the results. Therefore the D&W and SiteSpect partnership continues to flourish. We have no hesitation in recommending the platform and we will continue to invest in our staff to train on this platform for the foreseeable future.

It's a good testing tool for medium to large businesses who are dedicated to testing regularly. The price point would not work for smaller companies.

While it is very powerful and versatile in the hands of trained programmers, for those non-programmers who end up using it on a day-to-day basis this code-oriented approach is less user-friendly and too esoteric to fully utilize. It can hold back testing progress and infringe on the engineer's time to demand they implement all the site test variations.
