We deliver customized professional learning asynchronous courses to K-12 school districts throughout the US. Skilljar allows us to create master courses, which we can then clone and customize based on customer needs and wants. We also use Skilljar to auto-deliver pre-created courses to our SMB and Mid-Market accounts. <br>With Skilljar, we are also able to easily collaborate and edit content with our asynchronous working group.

I'm sort of in a hybrid role of managing student/course management and engineering the design for the platform. I was initially tasked with rebranding our Skilljar domain to match our company branding. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the platform was well documented and provided me with plenty to go off when it came to things like CSS/Javascript/HTML. Our company has a small development team of just 5 engineers that manage four web applications, including our Skilljar LMS. The platform certainly empowers me to do alone the amount of work that would take a much larger team of engineers and support. For that reason, Skilljar is worth it!

We use Skilljar to support our asynchronous professional learning. This provides educators the opportunity to take professional learning during the time period that works for them and allows us to see completion metrics regarding who engages in our courses.

I run our partner enablement program, which has me using Skilljar every day. We have a partner certification program through Skilljar that integrates directly with our application. Users follow step-by-step instructions in our Academy (Skilljar frontend) to configure use cases in our software. Once a module is complete, users click a verification button in a widget within our application. This triggers a work check to see if they configured the use case correctly. Upon a successful check, our application calls into Skilljar API to unlock the next Module in the Academy. Skilljar is super easy to integrate with for this purpose. The API documentation is great, and the customer support is superb.

We implemented Skilljar's LMS in February of 2021 to provide self-service training for our customers. Our Academy comprises several catalogs tailored to the needs of Developers, Product Owners/Administrators, and End-Users, offering comprehensive guidance on implementing, utilizing, and optimizing the use of our platform. Skilljar is the solution for effectively scaling our customer onboarding and ongoing education efforts.
Before adopting Skilljar, we relied on weekly webinar training sessions, which, while effective, had limitations. The webinars were not always accessible to customers at their preferred time, and the content was sometimes mismatched where customers were within the onboarding/adoption lifecycle with us.
Skilljar has been essential in overcoming these challenges; it's easy to use, and the support I've received is unparalleled. We average over 1K students monthly and have received fabulous feedback on our content and Skilljar itself. Since launching, I've consulted several customers wanting to start their own LMS, having been inspired by our own Skilljar academy.

I believe Skilljar is a great product for anyone looking to implement a Learning Management system that is easy to set up, manage, and scale. While other LMS platforms may have lots of bells and whistles, if you're looking to get set up quickly this is the way to go. We use Skilljar in our Saas business and it's allowed me to manage our educational content fairly easily.

Customization and Out of the Box: Skilljar has a great out-of-the-box theme that's easily customizable for customers who may not know coding or HTML. You can also fully customize your LMS site via CSS or Skilljars pro services.

If you are looking to create a complex LMS reflective of LinkedIn Learning, may not meet your expectations. However, platforms at that level come with a cost. Skilljar is more cost-effective for those starting their LMS journey, and you'd be surprised how far you can go and scale your platform.

Skilljar allows us to host content for self-paced courses that are relevant and accessible to our audience. It also includes integrations with Credly that supports our badging program. The provided analytics allow us to make informed decisions about next steps. There is also a high degree of customization available to suit the interface to our needs.

Skilljar Customer Education Software allows us to efficiently create and present content to our customer base. We've used the product to create a high-quality eLearning resource for our clients. We can add new content and modify existing content whenever needed with minimal effort. By offering our instruction via online training, we can reach a much broader audience and our customers can get trained on their own schedule.

We offer video content, text content, live training, and exams through Skilljar Customer Education Software. We've had great experiences using the platform for all of these--our Learning Center rarely experiences downtime and our content is easy to set up. Customers do not experience issues navigating the site and finding what they need. Skilljar's filter functionality has been hugely helpful in allowing us to build out our site in a way that makes sense to customers. We have a lot of courses and have experimented with different site structures--Skilljar has never been a roadblock.

Skilljar Customer Education Software is our primarily LMS that is used for both internal and external enablement. We use it to support customers who want to learn how to use our solutions at scale. Some trainings are paid (live) and all elearning is free. We utilize storyline to implement our rise content into the LMS through courses and learning paths.

We were looking to replace our current LMS because it's very limited and not user-friendly. We were looking for a customer training LMS to integrate it with Salesforce and gather metrics to show ROI. We ended up choosing Skilljar Customer Education Software not only for customers but for employee and partner training as well. We had an RFP process and they answered our questions really well, we had several discussions with sales and sales engineering and they created a sandbox experience for us. We were convinced that not only the cost was very competitive, but the platform offered all the features we were looking for. Implementation and onboarding were really fast and smooth with great help from their team.

If you're looking for a simple, yet powerful platform for customer training, Skilljar Customer Education Software is a very good option. If you have a wide variety of content offerings, including self-paced learning, learning paths, certifications, and webinars the third-party integrations will be really helpful, especially if you are using a cms or a third-party tool for analytics, such as Salesforce, pendo, etc. If you are relying on their platform analytics only, you'll find that a lot of things need to be manually done and it takes time, plus you can't automate some reports.

Our event projects are held in different geographic locations and we hire locals for some sectors, but they should learn first and we do it via the help of Skilljar Customer Education Software. The facilities of this platform have been very good for our team learning and training

Skilljar hosts our customer facing self-study content, and is our ILT / VILT interface for all official training and certification. We host videos, text, and SCORM content. We also use ILT to integrate with CloudShare for labs during both self-study and live courses. The product serves all of our customer base and product partners. We've had exemplary success with support and customization tips. We've had limited success with certifications due to "limitations" with their quiz structure compared to some of the more professional testing platforms. Uptime is fantastic. ease of implementation was fantastic. I've really enjoyed as well the product growth - they seem pretty responsive!

  • API expansion will be nice. For instance, creating new ILT events is not currently possible via API. They're expanding API though so I have hopes.

They are not content developers, which is actually good since it allows them to focus on the LMS features. That's the main thing it's not suited for. As long as you focus on LMS, it's either sufficient, or excellent. The only place I can really think of that is weak is testing. Many iframe another testing tool to be more flexible. OH - and Surveys are new. We outsource surveys too.

Skilljar Customer Education Software is used to provide technical training to customers and staff members.We provide presentations, videos, and online laboratories.We cover all of the goods and every internal and external audience, therefore the scope is pretty broad.We integrate the program with salesforce, and it offers analytics and reporting.

  • More freedom in how courses display compared to catalog pages. Although it's not ideal, we kind of "hack" the system to make it appear to learners
  • Lessons cannot be copied into multiple courses in bulk because there are no bulk actions.
Skilljar is wonderful, especially if you're happy with writing your content directly into the LMS. Although it's not difficult to upload files. Additionally, it is a straightforward LMS with professional-looking front-end design that supports a range of material. The creation of the themes and styles is quite easy. Easy for anyone to jump in and create professional looking content.

We implemented Skilljar Customer Education Software to help our customers successfully onboard and deploy our platform. We went from not having any way to track usage or identify areas of risk and opportunity to having a wealth of knowledge for us to identify potential churn customers and make the onboarding experience more personalized. Skilljar was amazingly easy to implement and maintain, especially since I am a team of one. The cost was also within our budget, and the tool is scalable as we grow our training and education programs.

Skilljar allows us to scale customer training as we grow. Before, we relied on CSMs training each customer 1:1. Now, we're saving hundreds of hours by offering on-demand e-learning.
  • The UI is very sleek and easy to navigate from the learner's perspective.
  • Great implementation and customer support.
  • Helpful out of the box integrations.
  • Great community.
  • No preview or testing capabilities-- getting around this requires a ton of unnecessary duplicative pages and courses.
  • No bulk actions, so copying lessons into multiple courses is extremely tedious.
  • Learning paths are missing a lot of functionality that standalone courses have.
  • Doesn't integrate well with Rise360 and other authoring tools.
Skilljar has a great customer support and a thriving community. The tool is easy to learn, and there are so many resources for learning the platform. The out-of-the-box look of the site is very appealing, so you don't need custom dev work. The integrations are also easy to set up.

We use Skilljar as our LMS to power our Academy. Our Academy provides product-specific education and use case education, including new hire onboarding, internal comms, and product enablement. Our Academy aims to solve problems across the entire customer journey, with a heavier emphasis on easing onboarding friction.
  • The folks at Skilljar are all pretty great, our values closely align.
  • The annual conference is spectacular and probably (definitely?) the best Customer Education conference available.
  • It would be great to drag and drop lessons from one course to the next. There's some work to be done with content authoring.
  • Our education is free, and often customers will ask if we can provide SCORM packages for our courses. Skilljar doesn't provide this functionality. :(
Skilljar makes a lot of sense for companies that need an external education platform to serve their customers. Any industry can benefit from their platform, not just SaaS companies. They provide a decent out-of-the-box platform. Any upgrades to the user interface will need to be completed by your own team.

We use Skilljar to host online training content for both our employees and customers. Prior to the global COVID-19 outbreak, the vast majority of our training was done in person, but once the pandemic hit, requests for in-person training ground to a halt while the demand for engaging and relevant training content accelerated. Skilljar has empowered us to continue meeting the training demands of our growing customer base without the need to travel.

Over the past 12 years, I have had the opportunity to evaluate, implement, and administer a half dozen Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Intellum, Cornerstone, Absorb, Adobe Connect, Oracle Learning, and Workday, and without question, Skilljar has [beaten] them all at the meeting and exceeding my expectations for an enterprise LMS. IMHO, the Skilljar advantage boils down to 3 key factors: their people, their technology, and their process. I believe Skilljar is perfectly suited for medium, large, or enterprise-sized companies but its cost may be prohibitive to smaller or not-for-profit organizations.

Skilljar is being used by the Customer Education team which I am a part of. We use it to have a centralized place where all our learning content is stored. Our customers navigate to our academy to consume the content and we also host our custom workshops on Skilljar as well.

My company implemented Skilljar to increase scalability in our training and client success operations. The content development and platform administration is currently a 1-person job, though we are working to expand our Education and Training team in the coming years.

Skilljar was an excellent fit for my organization, which is just beginning to tackle the challenges of creating more scalable education content. Because Skilljar is so easy to navigate with an out-of-the-box theme, we were able to focus primarily on program development and strategy, rather than spending an inordinate amount of time learning to use the platform itself.

I implemented the product in less than 2 months as a team of 1. Skilljar provides great support to get you going, and they also have wonderful training materials that you can use for the product. The tool can integrate with lots of other customer success tools you are already using so that you can gather all the analytics you need to see how your training is working.

We currently use this to educate our customers on how to use our product, including self-paced onboarding. It allows us to asynchronously educate users without having to invest as much live trainer time. It also allows us to properly manage users from different organizations. I'd love a few LMS improvements (like accepting more file types for courses, as it only accepts SCORM 1.2), but our overall experience has been great.

Skilljar is used at an enterprise scale with customers in the education profession in our company to train teachers how to use our products. It's specifically used for one product at the company and another LMS is used for training on other products. This solves a business problem by easily connecting to Salesforce and our own platform to onboard customers and educate them on the uses and benefits of the product and how to best utilize it, helping to make implementations of the product perform better.
  • Connects to most other platforms that your company uses like Zoom or Salesforce.
  • Provides easy to use features for the customer and the user.
  • They constantly improve the product.
  • Needs more social learning tools like discussion boards and points or emblems.
  • Analytics do show usage in a few different ways but they are clunky reports.
Great for large-scale companies that need to set up a training experience for their customers FAST. We got our content done and made it into a course in about 4 months, give or take. We also had a lot of great help from their customer success team, in fact, we were very impressed with the level of professionalism and service we got from their people. Not the cheapest option, however, and it's not really for small-scale users.

We use Skilljar for company-wide employee training including onboarding and training created in partnership with subject matter experts. We also use a 2nd Skilljar domain for client-facing training.
  • The ability to store videos and include them as part of training.
  • Simple themes help with company branding.
  • Learning paths to group courses together.
  • It would be nice for a learner to instantly know which courses they are enrolled in.
  • Analytics are decent, but I rely on other data management tools to share with others.
  • It would be great to be able to include rich media files such as videos inside of text lessons.
Skilljar is mostly focused on customer training but it works well as a platform for in-house training. I think it's often overlooked from this perspective as most see it as an external tool or as support to the Customer Success teams. The ability to have multiple domains and separate internal and external training is a plus.

We use Skilljar as an education portal for software customers as a subscription offering. We have some free content available for all customers and prospects. We also have a separate domain for partners to engage and learn about our products. Skilljar is specifically used for both on demand and live training.
  • Live sessions are easy to manage.
  • Student administration.
  • Great help pages.
  • More analytics without have to purchase data connector.
  • More flexibility on page design without heavy code snippets.
Excellent for customer education and organizing live training session. Easy to upload or link to new content.
Less helpful for internal education where hierarchies are in place.
We are required to report to our customers on the usage of each customer. There is not an easy way to organize these reports.
Sometimes there is confusion in publishing content. It's a lot of boxes to check, then has to be added to pages, etc. Some sort of publishing template might be helpful. I use the same settings for 85% of my content.
