  • It provides work of calling, screen sharing, files and documents sharing so [it] saves nearly 50% of expenses use[d] to buy different software for each work.
  • It is easy to install, easy to use and learn thus saving time, and time is money as we all know. Which leads to employees working on work they are assigned instead of giving time to learn Skype for Business.
  • Calling to phone numbers from Skype for Business is cheaper than network providers so again saving money equivalent to 5-10%.

  • Skype for Business has enabled a migration in part away from fixed line telephony and introduced the user to mobile working with a headset which cannot be overstated as being a game changer.
  • Being able to schedule Skype for Business meetings through Outlook has meant meetings with colleagues without a meeting room has been a great enabler.

  • Skype for Business was included with our Office 365 subscription - it fit the need before people started collaborating more online.
  • Doesn't support rooms - only person to person discussion - doesn't keep up with how people work today.

  • We almost lost our biggest client because of the poor performance early on in our implementation...the online meetings were poor quality for audio and bandwidth refreshing
  • Many of the employees in our company disliked the quality so much, they started to sign up for free Cisco WebEx accounts to use instead
  • The majority of employees in our company lost trust in our CTO because of his decision to switch from Cisco WebEx to Skype for Business

  • It saves a lot of money for firm as it does not spend 100 of dollars for conferences or for big meetings.
  • It improves overall working conditions for employees. You can work from home and have calls with your colleagues (instead of meeting them in the office. This is essential, as the global pandemic continuous).
  • The only negative impact for firm is the high price of Skype for Business (compared to some of its competitors).

  • Skype for Business has mostly been used to communicate with other folks who request that we talk on Skype for Business.
  • It's helped us have more control over calls we host with folks with limited technical literacy.
  • Name brand familiarity has been helpful for getting other people onboard.
