We are a small business with a global reach, and as such we need the ability to reach people around the world--colleagues, business partners, and customers. Skype is a tool outside of email, for more personal connection and conversation. Less formal than a Zoom or email, Skype definitely feels like a conversation rather than a meeting.

Skype is an essential tool that we use when having board meetings with our small non-profit organization. It is [an] application that almost everyone has used or currently uses elsewhere and provides a cross-platform reliable way to get all of our people together to have [an] important discussion.

Skype is one of the best software programs currently used by our organization. It allows us to communicate better with each other. The interface is very friendly and easy to use all around. With recent updates, all of the bugs and issues before are no longer taking place. Skype is the way to go!

Skype - End of an Era

We were using Skype as one of our quick messaging tool for in-house use. The other tool that was used for instant messaging at the time was Slack.
Skype was in use for the whole organization - meaning that across all the subsidiary nations and the group employees were reachable there.
It was connected to our work e-mails so very easy to reach the person you wanted.

We discontinued using Skype in favour of Slack

It is being used across the company and we use it multiple times a day. Smooth working and easy to use. Every user has a unique meeting ID and password if hosting. It can be set up to automatically call you as a meeting participant when joining a meeting.

Currently our organization uses it for chatting chatting back and forth and sometimes to do video calls. We still use Zoom since we have meetings with outside companies as well but within we are able to use Skype if we want. As for problems we can say it doesnt seem to compete with Zoom. Since zoom is only camera, it has more functions for video feeds. It also seems that Skype uses more bandwidth or requires better speeds as we do get latency from some of our users with slower net speeds. Im not sure if this is the case but they seem to only have these issues with Skype and not Zoom. Overall as a chatting function, Skype does the trick. You can have private conversations as well as have many open conversations at once. You can send files, videos, sound files, etc. You can even delete messages you no longer want seen and it deletes on both sides.

Skype has been one of the many software options that our organization has utilized in the midst of pandemic closures and limited attendance. Skype (as well as Zoom and Google Meets) have been used by various departments within our organization to stay connected with members of our congregation, facilitate remote meetings, and (at a time) was used to deliver our weekly service presentation when in-person attendance was not permitted for our facility. Skype has helped support our organization to continue our weekly operation in a limited capacity.

Our requirements for video conferencing platforms have increased exponentially during the pandemic. Skype has helped us to get back to work by connecting everyone in the organization--from the C-level to part-time interns--to work even during the lockdown. Skype is the ideal platform for us to conduct group meetings or have presentations. Even today, when we're back to our physical office, we still use Skype to connect with individuals working from home.

We are conducting all main communication activities inside Skype. Both personally and in groups across the whole organization. With Skype, we are solving a lot of various communicative issues, especially during COVID-19. We have various groups inside our organization, separated by the specific department, and via Skype, we are managing all our professional activities.

Skype is exceptionally a great tool to connect with your coworkers while working. The best feature I have experienced is the screen sharing capability, which helps a lot with discussing your projects online and you can easily understand what the speaker wants to make you understand. You can make group calls, add members, and send an invite by scheduling your tasks to it. Hand raise and emoticons are also available to express your feelings over the chat. The UI is friendly and easy to manage and use. Privacy shortcuts are also available. It also allows muting the disturbance in a group call.

I normally use Skype to conduct online staff meetings and sometimes it is used to deal with the clients. It is used across the whole organization. The major problem that it addresses is that we can easily avoid traditional meetings and enhance easy meetings while staying at home.

Skype is used across the whole organization for video conferencing purposes. It is also used in staff to staff communication across our branches to solve issues. This has in the past eased in communication in our organization. It has also come in as a cost-cutting actor because with the use of Skype there is less traveling.

As an English as a Second Language teacher, it is crucial to have Skype. My employer used Skype to conduct an interview with me, seeing that I was in Jamaica and my employer in China. Skype is used for interviews and as a medium to conduct classes for my Chinese students who need to learn English as a second language. Classes are sometimes held online. Skype improves the overall productivity of our company. Students are able to see you in real-time, and teachers are able to video conference.

We use Skype for communication with the client on voice and text chat. With Skype, because the communication is in real-time it saves a lot of effort with back and forth emailing or contacting over the phone (i.e if the client has Skype ID).

We adopted Skype simply to communicate with workers, plus to address our client's inquiries. It manages basic communication issues. With my organization's growth, I chose to get the premium package and it turned out to be way more efficient, enabling international calls and connections among peers. I was very happy with the results and I recommend it.

This application is an entrusted source, second to Google Chats, as a means for our employees to communicate current issues and needs to be met across the merchandise updates and franchise under certain circumstances, conditions with certain requirements to be carried out by certain personnel. This easily rids the need for in-person conferencing which is a common disdain among fellow employees.

Skype is being used across the entire organization. One of the biggest areas it addresses is the ability to interview candidates who are not local. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on flights, rental car. hotel, etc., we are able to interview them via Skype and usually make a decision without the need to fly them out. We also utilize Messenger through our organization, which is also helpful considering we have 3 corporate offices and over 80 facilities statewide.

We use Skype to talk to staff who work remotely and who don't come into the office. We also use Skype to talk to suppliers who use the video to show us products and goods that we might want to buy. It's easier to see details and we can see how the goods look in real life rather than just seeing them in pictures.

We use it for business meetings to provide quotes, discuss these quotes, and perform closings. We no longer provide very simple remote support, as this feature has been deprecated. We also participate in team status meetings using audio, not video. For phone services, I used to have a foreign phone number for an overseas branch, and it was a pretty useful feature, as the local customer thought we were answering locally. Now, we don't have operations in that location.
We also perform multi-country team meetings, which expedite decisions and make them more consensual.

Skype is an internet-based telecommunications tool that I as a business operator use to communicate with merchants and other providers. I find it a great and valuable communication tool compared to other communication apps. Using Skype saves me lots of money on international calls since the calls are virtually free. Furthermore, this app works on various platforms making it available no matter what device I'm using, which is extremely convenient.

We use Skype mainly for communication with our Remote team, Outsourcing teams and some of our clients who do not like other communication platforms. We use it on a daily basis, using both desktop and mobile apps. We have been using it from the very start of Brainy Bees, I have also used it personally.
