(151-175 of 405)Great application for the communication within organisation
- Automatic status update according to calendar meeting.
- Easily adding document attachment.
- Easily creating channel and communicating within team.
- Channel in which new text is there should be highlighted precisely.
- DM should be highlighted.
Great communication tool for organisations.
- Its extensions support many software and make it easy to use with other software.
- It supports all platforms.
- More features for sending photos or data than traditional email.
- Channel helps to arrange messages in a better way.
- Options for formatting of text in messages are not very diverse.
- Slackbot doesn't work as planned most of the time.
- It has a great compact theme.
- It lets us share large files, images, codes, etc.
- Quality work improves business performance.
- Meetings, timely work, and on-the-spot feedback are benefits.
- It is challenging to configure a guest.
- The search results can be somewhat confusing.
- The calling feature called huddle is kind of slow.
A Terrific Form of Communication!
- Reminding others about tasks
- Quick questions
- Socializing
- I find it hard to remember about a message if you already opened it.
- You can't keep one message unread because if you open the message, it automatically marks it as read.
- You can't delete a message that someone wrote to you.
- I find it hard to respond to a previous message. To me, it's not very clear.
Slack has changed our world of work!
- Allows colleagues and I to work out loud
- Easy resource for collaboration
- Easy to transfer of knowledge
- Shows history of communication over the years
- Voice to text to allow for easy typing (similar to Apple)
We have created Slack channels for each team separately and added the respective peoples to it.
When we require to initiate a conversation with peoples belonging to different teams, we just create a separate thread-message for all of us.
My organisation has also made an app called X-Bot and added it to slack to help any FAQs and IT Ticket status/details.
I have integrated it with Zoom and Google Calendar which helps me to not miss any upcoming meetings.
- Can create separate and private channel and add respective peoples to it.
- Share documents, files, code, links in a good format.
- Notification for each direct messages and on channel messages.
- Integrate third-party apps like Zoom, Calendar, etc.
- Provides huddle feature to start instant meeting without sharing any meeting link.
- I'm not able to receive notification sound in Slack app, hence I'm using Slack web UI.
- Sometimes it abruptly stops and doesn't send messages by saying bad connectivity issue.
- Heavy on system resources. A Slack lite app would be much appreciated.
Also Slack it's less appropriate for cases when you need to share large files/codes, because you can't view all the data without downloading it in your system.
- Communication Channel
- Project management
- Team management via slack channels
- Different Clients management over a single platform
- Easy file sharing and group discussions
- Slack calls are also effective
- Slack messages
- Slack channels
- Slack Calls
- Slack personal space to pen down ideas
- User interface
- Limited communication space as old msgs get deleted
- Quality of call not good
Great fun way for the company to communicate
- Creating fun gifs.
- Notifying everyone in the group about an alert.
- Customization.
- Allowing more than 8 people in a group chat without having to create a channel.
- There were a lot of outages this year.
It's less appropriate to hold LARGE video calls on there, just not as compatible.
Fast and efficient communication
- Emojis are really fun because it avoids over crowding channels
- Notifications are great
- I like that I can link my Miro board and Google Drive to Slack
- It's always hard for me to open a new workspace on my app
- Notification sounds or banners do not always work
- Sometimes I have an unread message, but cant find it
Slack : The best official communication tool
- Communication with members of a project ( via channels features where you can create specific dedicated groups for project members only)
- Third-party app integration ( Integration with Asana, Gmail, Jira, GIFy, etc.)
- Daily Huddles - This has been one of the latest addition to the features, and this has been liked by all of our team members. It makes running daily huddles super easy, considering the WFH environment that we are in.
- UI - User interface is generic, and I believe Slack has a huge room for improvement to make it more interactive and friendly.
- If you use the search option on Slack, it gives results from open groups as well. Since the groups are open and not locked, it's okay to display the results, but I feel those results should not appear as there might be some of the pre-development confidential ideas which are not supposed to be shared with a large audience.
- Display of Profile status - Currently, you have to hover over the profile to know the status, but it would be quite useful if we have a small line just below the name, and it appears during the conversation too. The reason I feel it would be a good change is because we use it to display our leaves as well, and if the status is visible easily, people can know about our availability
A big missing feature is that you do not have an option to follow up on a task or message that you might have starred/flagged. It would be really helpful if we had the To-Do list and follow-up option.
- Messaging Platform
- Audio/Video Calls
- Present Screen
- Private Groups and Public Channels
- Wide Range of Emojis
- There are minor bugs here and there like the theme resets sometimes when launching Slack.
Great Communication Solution
- HubSpot integration
- Outlook calendar meeting status update
- Tagging an individual, team or everyone
- Refresh glitches, every so often Slack goes blank, not sure if it's a cache issue or something within the programming, not a frequent issue
- Reduce costs
- Audio/video call improvements
- The Remind Feature is amazing! Allowing me to type down a "To-Do" list and ask Slack to remind me about it later.
- Allowing different channels is so important - It helps us keep conversations separate and focused.
- Huddles - Basically phone calls are very handy when you quickly need to talk to someone rather than message them. It is also helpful to be able to show your screen quickly rather than hop into an online conference room.
- I wish there was a "Night Mode" that would help slowly turn down the brightness or contrast in the program to help your eyes not feel so strained as the day gets into the dark hours or even in the morning.
- I wish that channels didn't have to be in alphabetical order and would allow me to change the "list" to what I needed at the top.
- Easily communicate with teams
- Create targeted groups to filter communication
- Connecting to Apps seamlessly
- Group App Alerts sometimes start on the last conversation instead of the first missed conversation.
- Sync to mobile.
- Google drive and calendar integration.
- Pre-scheduling messages.
- The default knock brush IM sound gives me PTSD, time to change it?
- Missed notifications.
- Inability to flag messages for follow-up.
Enthusiastic proponent of Slack!
- Easy to understand organization of threads, messages, and groups
- Customized preferences for sound notifications
- Thread function allows separate conversations to be grouped in large group chats
- Wish there was a central location to view all public channels. "Browse channels" is not comprehensive.
- Wish drafts would save for longer, they often disappear after a few minutes
- Had some issues uploading a photo without it distorting the proportions
Slack is a great product
- Easy to use/learn
- with the correct rights it is easy to be an admin
- all the view options and possible configuration
- The Search feature for previous messages could be more complete
- the notifications could be more controllable
Reduced the time to communicate from hours to seconds!
- Ad-hoc communications
- Increase engagement between remote teams
- Reduce the reliance on Email
- Provide greater opportunity to collaborate
- full integration on communications (voice, video)
- does not suit an academic setting
- not very easy to configure for guest users
Team collaboration tool
- Instant messaging
- Calls / huddles
- Slack Groups to collaborate
- After a Slack call/huddle, it doesn’t end automatically after the call ends
- When someone calls through Slack, direct join call option is quite confusing, it says join huddle and call attend option does not work well most of the times
- No direct link for joining the Slack meeting
- Personalization of visuals (colors, patterns, dark scheme)
- Multiple channel creation for individual or team chats
- Dual function of web based and app based for flexibility
- Connectivity across app to desktop for continued conversations
- You can't get it if you don't know it exists (need more visibility)
- More integration for presentations or adding attachments
- Easier access to customer support?
Amazing and a must to have !
- Notifications in bold on the name of channel
- share the screen
- link google agendas
- availabilities option for each users
- option of private channel
- Search function
- Often Slack calls don't work. Either it is impossible to call someone or the sound does not work.
- Sometimes the pencil is available for screen sharing other times it is not available.
Slack: A best tool for business management.
- Excellent in terms of tracking new and upcoming orders for business.
- Create various channels to manage your team and departments.
- The User Interface (UI) is friendly.
- Portable and to use. They both have software, website and application.
- Excellent in terms of fast communication with employer, team and co-workers.
- You can have a voice call with you team. But, it's better to have a video call function.
- Sometimes it's hard to find the direct message in threads.
- When opening the software and app. The refresh rate after logging in is slow.
- If you manage 2 businesses. You can't manage them in one platform because you need to create a separate Slack link for it.
Essential communication tool for organization
In an organization, multiple projects are running so needs to manage all data of particular projects.
Also, different employees are working on some projects, so by creating a channel in Slack, we can manage our work and data to succeed in the project.
- Channel in slack is very useful.
- Integration with other apps is very handy like with google calendar.
- We can set time of our working hour after that we didn't got notification of message.
- Reaction on message is very useful and unique feature.
- Searching message is effective, we can easily find previous message or files.
- There is lack of feature that can see our message is read or not.
- In mobile app sometimes notification is not working fine.
- Desktop application is sometimes takes much time to open slack.
- It takes much RAM of device.
We can manage our meetings by integrating the Google Calendar into slack by that way slack also remind us before a meeting as a notification.
A UX Researchers daily gamet of a tool.
