We use Slack as our primary tool for daily communication and internal 1v1 meetings with the huddle feature. We love how easy it is to collaborate as a team using Slack. It is very simple to set up and use for all ages and technological abilities. Being able to customize different channels is great too.

Slack in our company is our main collaboration point. We are a full remote company and we use Slack to chat, exange files, make quick call, all in the same place. One of the other great feature os Slack are the integrations, so you could integrate it with calendar, documents, and receive in real time any notification you might be interested in. Last but not less important we also use Slack with guest users to collaborate closely.

Slack is the software equivalent of a multi-tool. I've used it for many years, in many companies, and it has always been the backbone of any team collaboration. It enables team and cross-team communication, as well as integrations with other third party software which allows data to feed directly into your Slack channels, creating alerts, tasks or other useful notifications right at your fingertips

Slack helped both me and the other mentors at Lighthouse Labs collaborate with each other, ask for help from senior mentors, and follow-up with students after tricky mentoring sessions. The ability to tag specific senior mentors or call for second-level support in a specific channel was invaluable when trying to solve problems for students quickly and effectively. We could also broadcast solutions to common problems, keep track of lecture times and the progress of each student cohort, and contact specific members of Lighthouse Labs for questions about payroll or scheduling. As a one-stop all-purpose text communication platform, Slack can't be beat!

Slack - my favorite

Slack is an incredibly visually pleasing and fast/easy way to communicate to large groups, single individuals or smaller subgroups of people. I love the functionality of giphy's where you can clear express what you are trying to say, and the huddle functionality has gotten better over time. I've been using Slack for the last 6 years and I'm always sad if I change company's and the platform of communication changes from Slack to a different platform.

Slack has revolutionized our team communication. The platform's simplicity makes chatting and collaboration a breeze. Sharing files and updates in real-time has supercharged our productivity. It’s like the hub for all things work-related. While occasional notification hiccups can be a minor annoyance, the benefits outweigh the glitches. The customizable channels keep everything organized, ensuring important discussions don’t get lost in the shuffle. Slack has become an integral part of our daily workflow, streamlining communication and fostering teamwork. In a nutshell, it’s a must-have tool for any team looking to enhance collaboration and efficiency in the digital workspace.

We use Slack for regular communications, broadcasting messages, building quick war rooms and several day-to-day operations. I use Slack to ensure that messages and action items do not get lost in broader conversations. Also, there are several communities which are outside the purview of the office but in the Product Space which are helpful professionally.

Good for remote working

As we are working more remotely after the pandemic and left our big head office. We also have taken on 20% more freelancers so communication at the right quantity, timing and quantity essential. For example we have different channels - General, Social, Department teams and even a Football Banter group for different people. This saves having to send a whole bunch of unnecessarily emails to users and flood their inbox - especially for those coming back from annual leave or maternity leave.

I work remotely on Slack with a team of content editors for one of the internet's biggest RV travel website networks. We use Slack to communicate on-the-fly editorial planning, troubleshooting, calendaring, general management, and other related work that helps us publish the best quality RV travel and lifestyle content on the internet.

Daily communication for a remote organization is maintained via Slack, we live and breathe by it and could not live without it. The only improvement I see Slack could offer is confirmation when a message has been viewed by someone. Although I understand that viewed does not always mean it's been read and received, so a confirmation or acknowledged feature might also be necessary along with that.

Slack is primarily used as a communication tool, either by DM with other coworkers, to group channels, or in conjunction with automation to third party programs. This is particularly useful for customer service/experience teams and touts Google Workspace integrations, Cloverleaf, Zapier, and customer platforms like Zendesk, Customer etc.

I use Slack multiple times per day, everyday in my daily work life. I use it to communicate internally with my teammates. I use both channels and direct messages to communicate with others. It is actually the main mode of digital communication at our company internally, even moreso than email.

Slack is our internal communication application. Where customer communication takes place via email, we communicate as a team internally through Slack. We use it to compartmentalize communications into different projects and place much needed information within those channels to provide our teams with what they need to succeed in their tasks (e.g. Canvas, workflows, etc.)

We use it for quick communication. Sometimes if an email does not make sense we use Slack. It is good for quick check ins and questions that do not require a whole lot of context or forwarded information. I like it best for questions and being able to update people on what i am working on and if there is anything i can do for them etc.

Slack is currently being used by our corporate office team members. It gives our team the ability to communicate quickly by sending instant messages to each other or to a specific group in a fast paced office environment where everyone is typically juggling multiple projects at any given moment.

We use as our main internal communication tool. Even though there are different tools that different sectors can communicate, the main microphone is Slack. There we ask questions that can be beneficial to one, many or all employees, from different teams, same team, group chats. We also use for online / social exchanges such as trip pictures and fun facts.

In our company, we use Slack for our internal communication. Its integration with google drive is very useful for us since we primarily use GDrive in our company. It also help its users to track all deliverables through the help of Slack since most of the important discussions are in Slack.

We use Slack for communicating with the team and cross-team collaborations. Before that, everything was communicated via email. With Slack it is definitely easier and smoother to reach out colleagues without spamming others. In addition, there are some plugins we can make use of, which is quite convenient sometimes. Such as, we decide which topics to cover for some department wise meetings using the voting tool built in Slack, which is efficient.

We use Slack throughout our company to communicate between and within teams. It's used for both projects and regular day to day communication that would otherwise be done via email. Slack allows our employees to share documents and participate in group discussions, as well as communicate around specific events (managed through individual channels).

Slack is our main way of communicating with our friends at work! Slack is very helpful in a way that you can use it on your mobile and can be anywhere without any hassle! I find it so necessary for a company to have this kind of software, especially when you're in a complicated situation and you don't know how to inform your boss. It's a one click help!

Our company has employees who no longer live in the same state and often we work remotely. This allows to stay in real time communication all day as well as organize our conversations and sync with other products that we use.

My team and I use Slack for daily communication as well as within the company organization. I use the platform for 1:1 conversations and smaller groups as well as to stay in touch with the entire company. Emojis are a cute feature to engage my team and communicate feelings beyond words. My favorite feature is the "huddle" feature for quick, ad hoc syncs with my collaborators.
