My team hosts a variety of in-person, online, and hybrid events, and we're always looking for ways to keep attendees engaged. Slido is one of the tools we've used to create opportunities for interactivity at our events. We've used a variety of interactions, including word cloud, polls, and Q&A, and attendees seem to really enjoy using Slido at our events.
  • Word clouds to get an idea of what attendees are thinking
  • Polls to get people voting and interacting
  • Easy to use for both event hosts and attendees
  • Slido's UI is easy, but it could be more polished/beautiful
  • More seamless integration with Google Slides
For teams who host events, I think Slido is a great tool to have in the toolbox. I've used it exclusively for customer-facing events, and it is very easy for attendees to understand, use, and interact with. We also use it for internal events like all-hands, and it works well in those cases as well.

We use Slido for conducting online polls during business events and meetings. It is very intuitive and it is not necessary to download the app. We use it for voting. We take benefit from its question and answer feature also. We use Slido for our company's internal requirements only. Slido also provides its live chat support that will guide you to solve any problem you face while it's used. It can be integrated with Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides. It is really useful to take live questions and polls while you present.
  • Live polls are great.
  • Slido code to ask any question during the event.
  • I love that it has dark mode as well.
  • I didn't understand on what basis text is bigger or smaller in the word cloud. That's confusing for me. Maybe Slido can think about it.
Our every business event will be half done without Slido. We use it so much. In every meeting, training, event, we use Slido. You can see how people react with polls, word cloud, etc. what exactly people want to tell. It's so transparent.

I use Slido in my meetings that I host, and also many meetings that I attend. I find it very useful for surveys - both during and post meetings, but also to make meetings more engaging and entertaining. We often add in quizzes with prizes or quick polls to keep people involved and it definitely makes a difference.
  • Meeting Engagement
  • Post survey results
  • Easy to use and access
  • I don't have experience with other similar platforms, but the features I utilize now are to my satisfaction
Slido is a great and useful tool for increased attendee engagement during meetings and webinars. It can be used for icebreakers, pulse checks, surveys, and quizzes. We create a lot of quizzes based on training webinars to gauge if the info was well received and then offer prizes based on quiz results. This also helps to ensure that attendees pay attention during the trainings since they know there will be a quiz that will measure and they may win something.

We use Slido in our educational institution for engaging with our students/audience during online classes, lectures, meetings, events and webinars. We conduct polls and quizzes through Slido to check the understanding of our students during online classes. The students or participants can use the Q&A feature to ask doubts to teachers or hosts making the meetings interactive. Slido also helps us in gathering feedback about an event or webinar we conducted. The learning environment improves a lot when we use Slido since it ensures that the students are attentive in the classes. It eliminates various communication barriers and ensures excellent communication between hosts and participants through polls, Q&As and quizzes.
  • Its integration with various Webex apps like Webex Meetings and Webex Webinars and leading softwares like Zoom and Google Slides
  • Its simple user interface and eye-catching graphics
  • The detailed analytics it provides of the polls and surveys conducted and the ability of exporting them
  • The ability of integrating live video into Slido so participants dont have to switch tabs
  • Participants can ask questions anonymously or with their names without having to unmute themselves and disturbing the flow of the meeting
  • More integration options should be provided to maximize its use case
  • More customisation features and templates should be added for the polls and quizzes
  • More pricing plans should be introduced so we can chose the plan that suits us perfectly and is more cost-effective
Slido is very well suited for educational institutions and large companies where there are a lot of students and employees which makes interactions in meetings cumbersome. It is also suited for companies that require a lot of employee input. Slido, in general, helps in keeping the meetings and events interactive and engaging. Hence, Slido is not suitable for small businesses since collaboration and communication in small business is way easier and Slido is very costly so small businesses may not be able to afford it.

We use Slido to ensure the employees or attendees can actively participate in the on going meetings and presentations by either voting in polls or adding questions to the Q&A so they can be answered at appropriate times during the presenters and this ensures participation and excels the riches of the presentations themselves by providing information that is directly requested by the observers.

  • Great engagement analytics
  • Easy and effective polling
  • Q&A interaction with presenters
  • Lack of live discussions
  • Limited free version
Slido is well suited for meetings or presentations with large amount of attendees as provides a simple and effective way for attendees to interact with the ongoing event by voting in pools or asking questions to the presenters. It is a great way to get analytics about audience engagement and event to encourage it since the interaction can be anonymous so it promotes for everyone to participate.

Slido is THE engagement platform for my needs! Every training and presentation I provide comes with a Slido quiz, Q&A and feedback survey and it simply works!
  • Quiz
  • Live polls
  • Feedback survey
  • Q&A
  • World Cloud
  • No video format support
  • Usage of images is limited
  • Lag (not often though)
If you are in need of a tool for participant engagement, Slido is for you! If you need to provide a quiz with a leaderboard for online training or preso, Slido is for you! If you need to gather feedback, Slido is for you!

I use Slido to make meetings more interactive and to get direct feedback from the participants. Slido helps me increase engagement in all kinds of meeting situations. It breaks down barriers by allowing real-time polls, Q&A sessions, and even quizzes. Our use cases include internal meetings, such as our weekly stand-ups or quarterly reviews, where we gather feedback from the staff before the meeting and then address the most upvoted notes. In client presentations, especially in Request for Proposal situations, we conduct Q&A sessions via Slido. Last but not least, I also find it useful in large-scale conferences where I participate.
  • Real Time Polling with large audiences
  • Upvoted Q&A
  • Analytics after events
  • Integrations with i.e. PowerPoint and Google Sheets
  • Easy to use for admins and participants
  • Pricing Model - free version is quite limited and the package prices can be more attractive for SME companies
  • User Interface Complexity - the UX in the backend is good, but sometimes I am confused to find a specific function
  • Real time translation would be great in terms of accessibility
Slido is excellent for Town Hall or internal meetings to gather feedback from the staff. Getting everyone's voice heard can sometimes be challenging, but with Slido, it's at least not a technical issue. In RFI & RFP presentations or Q&As with vendors, Slido serves as a great use case. Since vendors should not be made public to each other, they can ask questions anonymously.

In small team meetings, Slido is sometimes overkill and could stifle the flow of conversation. The same applies to "hands-on" workshops.

Slido is a powerful tool for engaging audiences during workshops and lectures.
  • It allows people to keep up with the pace of the explanations by engaging in questions
  • It integrates with presentation softwares such as Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Slides
  • It has multiple templates that allow a quick setup and use
  • I would like it to integrate with Zoom Meetings, since it is the most popular web conferencing tool among our clients
Slido is well suited for checking in your audience's understanding during workshops explanations or even for running quick anonimous votings.

We use Slido in all our webinars, community calls, wider meetings. It is used in all the team across the company and help us gathering feedback and input before, during and after every meeting.
  • The Slido overview is very helpful for us to understand the engagement level of our audience during the meeting.
  • The multiple options to get feedback, answers, to interact with the audience (i.e., Live poll, Audience Q&A). The templates library is brilliant!
  • The possibility to answer and ask to questions and provide feedback anonymously.
  • There's no option to edit a response to a live Q&A or Poll.
  • There's no Keynote integration on mac.
  • I love Slido, it is easy to use and integrate, but I'd like to see more customization options.
In our community webinars. We always use Slido before the webinar to engage the audience and during the call to know more about our audience and keep them engaged. But the most important thing for us is at the end of every call, Slido helps us gather feedback about the session, and then we're able to see the actual engagement from our audience (Analytics, Polls insights).
However, it is less appropriate in smaller meetings, as integrating and customizing Slido takes more time than the actual meeting time with a few people.

We used Slido to interact with our incoming sales rep groups for training. We used it for ice breakers, quizzes, and surveys.
  • Allowing people to participate anonymously
  • Great display
  • Easy interface for beginners
  • Allowing more features for the free version
  • Most customization for display
It's an easy way to bring a large group together. Everyone gets to have their opinions heard and it does so in a way that is anonymous, quick, and easy to use.

So we have conference calls which generally people are doing other stuff and being bored and stuff. So one of the things they'll do is have a survey at the beginning. It can be as simple as What's your favorite color? Or it could be as complicated as work-related IT stuff. And that keeps everybody engaged, especially if there are prizes and you do it throughout the conference to kind of keep people engaged as well as a little bit of an entertainment factor.
  • It just works. You put up a survey, you put in what you wanted to say in multiple-choice or enter your own free type. And it just works. It's easy to get the results back instantaneously, as well as providing some visualization, pie charts, graphs, that kind of thing, and see what's in the lead. It could be as simple as picking what kind of food for the next company, pizza or tacos or whatever, and it kind of rates them and it just works. That's what's intended.
  • I think maybe visually to have different skins for it, just to kind of add some additional flare company logo, you know, something that would make it more customized for your organization. Or even just stylizing, like if it's a Cinco de Mayo party, you a Mexican theme, stuff like that I think would be nice. But that's all just flare, functionality wise it's flawless.
I think if you were to have too many on a particular call, three is the magic number. If you have three you're gonna maintain that engagement. But I think if you were to just overuse it or use it for everything, like every single meeting there's gonna be like 10 polls. I think overuse would be kind of a negative. But like I said, for team meetings and just a quick survey, it's anonymous too if you want it to be, so that's helpful. But for surveys, it's top-notch.

We use Slido to interact with TV and Radio audiences: the host sometimes invites people to ask questions, give feedback, and participate in a quiz. Occasionally we would also conduct UX surveys as it is a platform that the audience already knows. We love that it supports local languages and is really easy to implement into a workflow.
  • Quizzes with Leaderboards
  • Q & As
  • Branding and embedding
  • In a poll with 2 simple questions, I would like to have an option to show all results (not just of the one, selected).
  • Support for Powerpoint on Mac is still missing, I think....
It's excellent for quizzes for larger audiences: radio listeners or TV viewers. I also love the fact it is customizable: adding logos, agenda, and external links make a really good impression: it looks like it's your app. It is also very easy for participants to start using it. Barrier is low, both for admins and participants.

I use the basic version of Sli.do in almost all of ma facilitation workshop.
Sometimes simply to get some comments on the workshop.
Sometimes as a survey tool .
I also use the Word cloud regularly to summarize an event.
A new application is to use the Q&A function during codevelopment workshop.

  • Very easy to set up
  • The integrated QR code generator is awesome
  • Very easy to understand for users
  • Several options to share the links ( hyperlink, QR code, full slide etc)
  • Very easy to integrate in a ppt
  • Possibility to have longer comment in the Q&A function
  • Limited export function in the basic version
The more I use it the more I discover special applications.
E.g. In codeveopment sessions , there is a step when participants must write questions on a notepad and then share questions as a group. Using the Q&A function in Sli.do we can all interact and vote for questions that were already written. This saves a lot of time compiling !!

We use Slido for Q&A during workshop sessions where we need to garner feedback from a wider audience; when we need to rank multiple ideas for further deliberation. It makes it easier to hear from a group at once, rather than going around the room one by one, which saves time and people's energy.
  • gathering feedback
  • ranking options
  • Additional scoring types
  • Ability for the host to ask more questions/polls
It's appropriate for large groups where you are asking the audience to pose questions to you or a panel (and it is the best at doing this), but where you are asking the audience questions (e.g. voting on options) there is less functionality for this within Slido compared to competitors

Slido is a lightweight support tool to make your presentations more interactive with Q&A, polls and ideation. It works with any presentation software you use, such as Google Slides, MS PowerPoint or OSx Keynote. You are able to create a session in Slide securely and share the QR code/link with the participants. In the free version of Slido, your participants can add challenges, questions and ideas before or during the session. They are also able to participate in a limited number of polls.
  • Polls during presentations
  • Managing questions & answers
  • Capturing challenges or ideas from participants
  • Free version is limited
  • Presenter-facing interface could improve on UX
  • Roll-out of new features could be more frequent and regular
I use Slido as a sidekick to my presentation software such as Google Slides. It's easy to add the Slido plugin to Slides, and share the QR code with the participants of my event. Audiences love being engaged during a workshop or training session, so Slido does exactly that, it provides and opportunity for them to interact with the content and the presenter by asking questions, participating in polls or sharing their ideas. Typical use cases for Slido in my work: 1. Workshop or training session 2. Pitch session 3. Expert speech session/talk

Slido is used to keep the audience engaged during our meetings and webinars. We also use it for post-event analytics and surveys. It does a great job for us on a regular basis. I appreciate the ease of use that comes with it.
  • Stability
  • Ease of scheduling
  • Analytics
  • Plenty of polls, surveys, question options
  • Would like a unique portal for Webex users without going to Slido main page (you have choose Webex login)
  • More options to embed media
Slido is best for webinars where you need to keep the audience engaged, especially those that are longer. It is not ideal for shorter meetings or those with a few teammates I believe.

Slido is currently being used across the whole organization, as multiple departments and divisions use it for internal meetings such as a divisional meeting, as well as external meetings like conferences, working groups, and other events (both in person and virtual). It addresses the business problems of running question and answer segments of events, as well as improvised polls and surveys within an event.
  • Great user interface, very easy to learn and use from the front-end to back.
  • Easy for event attendees to access thanks to the intuitive event code system.
  • Easy to set up q&a segments, including moderation and reddit-style up-voting to ensure the best questions are seen and answered.
  • The data exporting section could be simpler.
  • The actual data exported from Slido can sometimes be a bit messy and less straightforward than one would expect.
Slido is well suited for any event where computers or smartphones are present alongside a cellular or internet connection. This includes internal events such as a company-wide meeting or divisional meeting, possibly even for larger departments as well. Likewise for external events such as large conferences and working groups. Slido would be less suited for meetings among members of a small team or an external meeting with a very limited number of attendees, as matters would likely just be discussed and voted on verbally.

We use Slido to increase engagement and participation in meetings. Specifically, we use this in every company-wide All Hands meeting, and also in many other larger group meetings. Especially when they are more than a handful of meeting attendees via Zoom, it's easy for people to check out, and we find that Slido helps to keep people involved!
  • In-meeting polling
  • In-meeting Q&A
  • In-meeting engagement
  • I miss the Slack integration; they used to have this and they deprecated it in the last year or so.
  • I believe they have a nice integration for PowerPoint, would be nice if they had something similar with google slides since that is what we typically use internally.
  • We use the word cloud feature often and sometimes answers seem to get lost (as in don't show up at all) on the screen. for example, an answer will be there, then as more answers come in it disappears, and when we get to a certain threshold of answers it somehow pops back up again. It's not the worst but sometimes someone will ping me that their submission didn't make the word cloud and they're bummed.
Slido is great to use for live meetings, whether in person or via video conference; we mostly use this for Zoom meetings. You can use the different features at different times in your meeting: I love to start our All Hands meetings with a word cloud or a poll of some kind, and as people are joining via zoom it gets people feeling excited and connected even before we've started. It also gives us something fun to talk about while we're waiting for everyone to arrive and for the meeting to start. You can do a poll halfway through to keep people engaged, and then a poll at the end to see how you did, or maybe use the Q&A to see what questions come up without having the awkward zoom silence when you ask if anyone has any questions. I don't think this is helpful in smaller meetings, where people likely feel more comfortable interacting directly and asking questions verbally.

I've been using Slido inside my Webex meetings to get attendee feedback or help guide the conversations. But I also used it outside of meetings to gather information from stakeholders for decisions and the direction we need to take. It's been really helpful to get personal feedback since people can choose to answer anonymously or with their names. That way if the information is a critique people can answer more freely. As a Side note, used it for some family events as well. The kids didn't think it was all that interesting until the answers started populating dynamically and they could see their votes counted just like all the rest.
  • gives immediate interactive feedback inside meetings
  • has great downloadable analytics as well as online graphical reports
  • works easily on mobile inside a Webex or independent of a meeting or using Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • I'd like the QR code to be scanned from INSIDE the app. Why only be able to enter the code? Let us use the camera inside the app to scan and launch Slido
  • a few more fun graphics
You can create and save loadable engagement templates so if you have sales meetings where you ask the same kinds of questions of the attendees, just make it a Slido and load that right from your Webex instance. It's free, why not use it and get people engaged?

We were looking for a simple platform for Question and Answer time in our organizations staff meetings.
Slido provided that and has allowed us to moderate and reply easily. The choice of QR code or the event hash tag to connect means 99.9% of people can use it with no trouble at all as most people are familiar with both concepts.
The fact that people can ask questions anonymously is another big plus for the environment we use Slido in.
  • Scheduling events easily
  • QR codes
  • Very stable
  • Post event analytics
  • Webex integration can be a little slow at times
  • Changing between Slido sessions in Webex on the side ribbon can be confusing
We found Slido is great for a number of uses in our organization. In the higher education environment people are often scared to ask questions because they don't want to look or sound silly. Giving people the ability to ask anonymously gets the dialogue flowing pretty quickly most of the time. We have found it useful in the classroom environment but also for professional staff in meetings.

I organise and manage events for our SEMCAN committee - Sydney Early and Mid Career Academic Network. WE use Slido to gather data on the participants that engage with our events, such as writing groups, diversity and inclusions workshops and viral video competitions. Slido is usually issued at the end or during the events via direct links in the Zoom, or follow-up emails, or QR codes for printed posters. Slido is handy because it is easy to set-up and duplicate questionnaires as well as share them with wider audiences. Slido is also used in teaching, to gather feedback on a weekly basis.
  • Intuitive and easy to-use web interface
  • plenty of question type options
  • easy to copy and modify exasting questionnaires
  • The visualisation of results can be more visually pleasing
  • More options to imbed media (such as images or videos)
Post or Pre-event (workshop, class or seminar) questionnaires, to gather participants data, or their feedback on the content, methods and interactions during the event. Each questionnaire can be also shared with the organising team members, which can be very handy.

Slido helps us make presentations more interactive by fielding Q&A from large audiences to getting live responses and feedback.
  • Question and answer fielding from large audiences
  • Tracking Attendance
  • Live results
  • Slide pairing
  • Detailed analytics
  • Better ease of use
Slido is very good when presenting for a large audience; however, they are sometimes unnecessary and overkill for smaller forums. It is sometimes better to have closer human-to-human interaction, and it feels like Slido gets rid of that aspect of presentations by making things more anonymized.
