Slido has various upsides when compared to Kahoot or Quizizz. Firstly, Slido offers live video integration so people don't have to switch tabs to interact with us during events or webinars. Secondly, Slido has multiple options like MCQs, rating and ranking for polls which increases its use case. Lastly, its user interface is way easier to navigate for the audeince and the results are in real time. The analytics provided after the meetings are also very helpful.

As we already work with Cisco that was a big bonus in our decision. But otherwise Slido presented itself as the best candidate as we were already used to it and provided great value, as well it provided integration with other products we use out of the box. And provided superior performance as a live tool.

  • Kahoot!
I was familiar with Kahoot in the participant view and was actually very fond of it. When Slido became a part of the Cisco Webex offer, I was thrilled to be in a Win-Win position, since I already was a Cisco Webex user and from that point forward, Slido is my engagement tool!

It's as simple as just Microsoft Word Visual Basic. We used to use that. Just a lot more cumbersome with the program and setup. Can be buggy depending on the browser operating system that you're running it on. Nothing specific for surveys. This was the first one we got that's officially for a survey that I know of. I've been there for about five years.

I haven't evaluated other competitors, as I have seen Slido in action at an event and I was immediately hooked. That being said, I should bee looking at Slido's competitors, just to do my due diligence and ensure I'm familiar with the market landscape. I'm satisfied so far with what Slido's offering.

Our company has been more old fashioned in the past, using college-style clickers connected to Microsoft Powerpoint, or even physical cards being raise like an auction! Slido is one of many ways that our company has moved into the 21st century, resulting in a much better expereience for our customers and employees.

Zoom's polling is super basic and very limited. it gives you the ability to run polls but lacks the dynamic nature of Slido where we can run contests, word clouds, and different types of polls. Also, zoom's design is very basic and looks like what it is: in-meeting polling. Slido is bright and eye-catching and doesn't look like business as usual! Mentimeter is much more similar to Slido and I think has a lot of similarities, but their free version (last I checked) limits the number of polls/questions you can use at once which I've seen leads to participants having to enter in a new code for each poll. Slido's free plan gives you 3 polls per event which is usually all we need, and once participants have logged in to the first poll/question they are already there for the rest!

  • Kahoot!
Kahoot! is a bit more fun but doesn't give you the detailed integration I get with Slido. The Slido data after the event is also much richer and more detailed.

Q&A made easy

We choose Slido over the internal Q&A in the web conferencing we use because of its flexibility. Teams Live is a good example where you need to give moderators Producer rights to the whole event to be able see questions. This can give a wide range of people access to controls for the entire event meaning they could accidently stop/start the live stream or make un intended changes. Separating the Q&A moderation keeps the production side of the event safe. Also the ability to use word clouds and free text is handy.

Slido is a business-grade product that allows you to engage with your attendees in an easy-to-use app that can be joined from anywhere, our past options were limited in functionality, they did not allow great PowerPoint integration and the customization was limited, slido is a huge improvement.

They have many similar features but we chose Slido because of the changes and the acceptance that everyone has given it, such as the quizzes, the polls, everything is very interactive and that makes us choose the product. Since the audience feels that they are taking their opinion as well as the way of representing the results of the polls is very attractive.

Slido stack up against them because he made us (me and my teammates) brainstorm and get ideas more easily with the help of polls and feedback questions which all the other apps lack for me, I chose Slido because it's easy to use, creates meetings within seconds, is insightful, and has multi-language support.
