SmartRecruiters is an easy employment site that I can post job listings on multiple websites. I am a franchise, but my corporate office recommends each franchisee use the product. I have used it multiple times in order to fill vacant positions. I have been very pleased with it and will continue to use it in the future.
  • Easy to set up templates for later use.
  • Can pick which websites you want job positions posted to.
  • Only have to pay one time instead of multiple websites.
  • I use this site regularly and it is easy to navigate.
If you plan on doing hiring to grow your company I would use SmartRecruiters because it is easy to navigate and list openings. I feel they are working to keep the website fresh and easy to use.

I use the free version of SmartRecruiters for my applicant tracking system. They, in turn, post our positions on Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, CareerBuilder, Monster, Glassdoor, SimplyHired, and other various industry related job boards. SmartRecruiters has the option of adding paid advertising as well. SR organizes my applicants and makes it easy for me to stay on track with my communications with applicants during the recruiting process.
  • SmartRecruiters makes it very easy to post and update our job openings to multiple sites all at once: Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Career Builder, Glassdoor, Monster, and various others.
  • I appreciate how useful the free version of SmartRecruiters is; it helps me source candidates with a limited budget.
  • I like being able to message groups of candidates all at once.
  • Searching for candidates who have applied is very simple and easy to do.
  • I'm not able to set up templates with the free version.
  • The resumes that candidates create through the SmartRecruiter system are too basic. If they upload their own; it's much better.
SmartRecruiters is well suited for a small company that doesn't have a big recruiting budget. It helps keep me organized and on top of applicants. I am an HR department of one and I also handle payroll and safety so I'm always busy. We typically have less than 10 open positions so it is ideal. Bigger companies wouldn't find value in the free version.

SmartRecruiters is used organization-wide for recruitment for a wide range of types of contracts. It is used by recruiters in the HR department, but also by the recruiting managers in the corresponding business unit. It is a central place where everyone can share and access information about job candidates within the organization.
  • It has a nice modern design.
  • Most of the application is rather user-friendly.
  • It provides links to both documentation as well as communication with the candidate.
  • Speed. The cloud solution has a tendency to be solved.
  • Exporting of data. In some cases, it would be nice to consult data offline, which currently is not possible to do.
  • Random sorting of data. Different people that connect have the candidates sorted in different orders.
SmartRecruiters is a modern and nice looking tool that overall is very good, but during frequent or intense usage it feels sluggish, and generates some frustration among users. For sporadic checking of candidates and CVs it is very well suited, but as the main working tool for an HR professional throughout a whole day, it is simply too slow, and the hosted cloud solution is simply not quick enough.

This is where information is housed to review, interview, and document hiring information on applicants that have applied for positions on my campus.
  • Everything is in one place. There is no need to jump in and out of different programs.
  • The entire hiring process is documented from start to finish in SmartRecruiters.
  • SmartRecruiters keeps you informed of applicants interested in your position as well as it lets you know any activity happening via email.
  • Sometimes you can get too many emails of notifications for new applicants.
  • I wish you should save part of the interview questions, but in instead you have to complete the entire document at one time.
  • Sometimes I've noticed the applicant's resume is not attached but in the body.
The entire hiring process is in one place. Too many email notifications when someone applies to your position.

SmartRecruiters is our primary talent acquisition (TA) platform used by HR and all the hiring managers across sales and services within the company. It allows for a transparent and organized recruitment feed between TA and the hiring managers. It stores all candidate information and notes from those involved in the screening and interview process.
  • It provides better viability and stronger collaboration efforts between TA and hiring managers.

  • Keeps historical data.
  • There are a couple of different ways you can view candidate profiles, and depending on the route you chose to access, certain info varies. Would be nice to simplify this.
  • Intelligence to make recommendations on other company positions per candidate submittal.
SmartRecruiters a great platform to keep TA and hiring managers connected and storing all candidate information historically. It helped keep everyone in the loop with minimal effort. I think it needs to have the ability for multiple ratings to be provided from different interviewers. I only saw one, yet I had three people interviewing who may all have a different rating they wish to give. The notes section does help with this though.

We use SmartRecruiters as a way to digitally accept and store all resumes that come into our company. We also communicate with the applicants directly through the SmartRecruiters program. It helped us solve the amount of time we were investing in keeping up with paper files.
  • Ease of use when entering candidate's information, uploading documents, using templates for emails, etc.
  • Visually, it is easy to read through the information and navigate from one job to another.
  • Analytics are accurate and easy to find.
  • Glitches from time to time and have to refresh or re-start
  • The ability to add more templates to send out different types of correspondence through the platform
I can't think of any company that wouldn't benefit from using SmartRecruiters. However, our company is on the small side and we don't have a lot of open positions, so it is manageable.

Bigger companies may need more bells and whistles, but this has worked out great for our needs. We have 1-2 jobs open per month, so it suits our needs.

We currently use SmartRecruiters as aggregate sourcing for new-hire candidates that cover all of our territories in FL, NY, CT, NJ, PA, TN, VA, MI, DC, and MD.
  • The user-facing interface is intuitive and extraordinarily navigable.
  • It has a robust scope of partnerships with other platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn, which broadens the pool of candidates to whom we have access.
  • Front-end customization of response templates and dispositions.
  • Batch processing of candidates would be nice. When we have over 1,000 candidates to review-- a quarter of which we can summarily dismiss due the candidates' physical location being dozens, if not hundreds of miles from our nearest territory (residing within the territory is the expectation)-- it would be beneficial and a more efficient process to have the ability to check a box next to each candidate and click on "Reject," rather than rejecting every one of them individually.
SmartRecruiters is well suited to accomplish what it is intended to accomplish: maximize exposure of our job posting across multiple platforms, providing a much broader talent base from which we may choose the most qualified candidate for our open positions.

We are currently using smart recruiters for the whole Organization. We have a huge level of transparency in hiring employees to track the status of hiring, and we have a high level of visibility for open vacancies and referrals, and to track these referrals. We also have instant notifications for writing reviews on interview candidates and getting notified for the scheduled interviews.
  • Alerting system before an interview.
  • We can clear the tracking status of the recruitment status.
  • We can see the comments by previous interviewers specific to a candidate.
  • UI & UX features could be improved, because it always feels good to have a symbolic representation of icons and buttons at relevant positions.
  • There could be an option to reach out to the candidate so that we can directly have discussions from the same portal apart from switching.
  • If the portal can also have a good mechanism for filtering candidates, that would make for a real value add.
As the name SmartRecruiters itself indicates, it makes the recruitment process smarter. It has a good feature for tracking interviews and having a procedural flow of the recruitment process. We can easily check for candidates' resumes on the portal and compare it with the handy job notification. On the whole, it's good.

We use the system to quickly access new candidates and look through multiple resumes to find the right fit. In most business, it is important to have the opportunity to schedule interviews in a timely fashion. The growth of this brand has opened up the ability to conduct background checks and inboard a new hire in one system.

SmartRecruiters is great for mass hiring situations and growing a sector of your business and when you need to find new candidates the streams in which the systems uses to gather new candidates is interesting. I'm not wasting time switching between multiple recruiting websites and searching. It is a one-stop-shop for new candidates and I enjoy reading the application history.

  • It could allow similar jobs posts. If you have a nurse needed in many areas, you have to recreate the ad and find new ways to describe a nurse opening. It's very time-consuming.

We use SmartRecruiters for the whole organization and SmartRecruiters has been helping the organization in scaling up really well. The overall organization is being overwhelmed with candidate management and ensuring everybody had the right visibility but not leaking confidential & personal information to everybody. SmartRecruiters also help us in managing candidates' historical interviews (if any), duplication and also link creations for external candidates to apply for. Overall would recommend the tools for anybody that wanted to have better scalability and also tracking to manage the overall organization's talent acquisitions.

The entire organization uses SmartRecruiters to track the entire recruiting process. It addresses the problem of organizing the candidate review, interview, and offer process. It allows team members across the globe easy access to review and share reviews of candidates along the way. It also supports recruiters in providing easily accessible review details.

I find it works really well in a medium-sized company like ours. It has truly streamlined and organized the hiring process tremendously. I find both recruiters and hiring teams have benefited greatly since implementation. The system is also extremely intuitive to use, the fact that little to no training is required for new users is a big plus in a fast-paced environment and the need for a fast hiring process.

I use SmartRecruiter as a freelancer to hire candidates for a specific job I want done. At some point I get hired by companies to run this software and help them in hiring applicants and managing users too. The way it integrates with Google Calendar is amazing as it gives us notifications on when the set interview is available and on which day for preparations on both the candidates and the hiring managers.
  • SmartRecruiter has a great support in customer care team who are available to provide support on any issues that arises.
  • It has a clean user interface and is easy to navigate.
  • It has great features that provide a smooth workflow when hiring applicants.
  • It has some bugs which makes it slow when managing a large number of employees at the same time.
It well suited for freelancers who always have a lot of workload and would like to assign work to different people depending on their skills. It becomes easy to assign jobs using SmartRecruiter, and it will enable one to choose the right applicant for each work posted.

I use SmartRecruiters in my business to employ candidates when any vacancies are available. Which means I use it across the whole organization. SmartRecruiters has been able to address lots of problems in my business with its powerful features, like the accessibility of notes and labels to discover applicants depending on particular words has been very helpful and saves time. I can oversee hopefuls that are in dynamic hunt yet not appointed to procedures, and match them dependent on their abilities.

Our small entrepreneurial enterprise used SmartRecruiters for all HR Recruiting work throughout the organization. The software suite and support team helped us tremendously by helping us to cut costs in recruiting new FTE, as well as form a buttoned-up recruiting process. In about two months time, I was able single-handedly post three job postings, scour through literally hundreds of legitimate applicants, filter out candidates that were not a match while at the same time sending out friendly notifications communicating clearly each candidate status, and utilize a single centralized dashboard for each interview and hiring process. We used all this to collaborate as a hiring time - I went on to involve 3-4 of my non-management team members to help review each top-rated candidate in a clean, consistent, collaborative manner. A bonus value-add was having everything at one glance, with comprehensive reporting abilities for our senior management and company partners. Hands down, one of the most flexible, collaborative recruiting tools with amazing buttoned-up processes.

  • SmartRecruiters could easily use some lower tier pricing packages - particularly for super small companies with smaller budgets who may be unable to keep up one year agreements. Option to downgrade during time of need, or during lull in hiring, should be easy - would help retain SmartRecruiters clients while clients maintain full access to their recruiting software systems.
  • SmartRecruiters staff could be more helpful when the business has a need to downgrade levels (from $300/mo) to save in monthly expenditures, in order to keep clients. Or, at least offer an option to downgrade for little/no fee simply to have the business data retention factor - enabling for easy, quick upgrades for full access at later date (as in, seasonal businesses who hire once or twice per year).
The cash saved in using a truly comprehensive software suite such as SmartRecruiters is, hands down, a no-brainer, if a business is hiring or re-hiring numerous staff each year. The alternative often is paying a recruiting firm several thousand dollars per head for finders' fees, or a recruiting staffing firm in overage fees for contract staff adds.

Currently, we use SmartRecruiters for full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, interviewing, offer, and acceptance/hire. After hiring a candidate, we also use SmartRecruiters for confirming their start date and notifying all appropriate people that the candidate has been hired. It is used in our HR department, Training department, and our billing department uses it slightly. Overall, it has helped our recruiting department become more efficient with automating processes and it's extremely useful with the email templates you're able to set up and integration with Google calendar. We have figured out a way to use it for our internal promotion process and also using it for approving new hires for certain positions.
  • I love the integration with Google calendar because everyone who is involved in the interview gets an invitation and it shows up on your calendar.
  • The use of auto-fill templates helps significantly and speeds up the time it takes to send an email to interested candidates.
  • The offer approval process is easy to edit and helps keep everyone on the same page.
  • Reporting features are very limited on SmartRecruiters. You're not able to run reports on what your team did throughout the week. Being able to track key performance indicators is very limited.
  • There's missing pieces on the app side of things. For instance, on the app you get a notification of if there's an offer you need to approve. On the website, you do not get a notification (only email notification). As a result of this, offer approvals get lost in emails.
  • I'd like to see more integration with text messaging. SmartRecruiters had mentioned they were in the works of creating text message notifications to confirm interviews and things like that. I haven't heard much more about it for the past 2-3 months, but this is something I'm very interested in.
If you're looking for a solid applicant tracking system, I would go with SmartRecruiters. Overall, SmartRecruiters is very reliable and I've had a great experience with it. It takes some time learning the ins and outs of it, but right now we're maximizing our use of it and we're happy with how it has helped to improve the efficiency of our department. Our number of hires has increased and we're getting new hires in for training a lot faster than before. If you're looking for a great reporting program, I would not go with SmartRecruiters. At the moment, we're manually tracking the data we want to know because SmartRecruiters does not have a strong reporting feature built into their system.
