Everything is in one place. All communications are done within the platform. We don't have to place job posting ads on several websites. Everything is very efficiently contained within the SmartRecruiters Platform. The screening, managing candidates, communications and other perks make this platform very usable for our company. It's just so easy.

I think that SmartRecruiters is mostly easy for managers to use. They get a modified amount of information visible to them and it's pretty easy to rate candidates. I would like to be able to use the full software including candidate evaluations. I think I would be able to evaluate this better if I could use the whole tool. However because SmartRecruiters does not integrate well with our version of Microsoft Exchange we are unable to use everything we are paying for. So [I'm] unable to fully evaluate how a hiring manager would feel about the product.

Hiring Managers are not used to using an ATS the same as a recruiter is. Some of them had difficulty figuring it out. It's not as easy to use initially as Taleo or Jobvite, but once they were used to it, most of them began to like it. The star rating feature was good. It allowed the hiring managers to see at a glance which candidates I thought were the best, and they could also re-rate them if they disagreed with my assessment.

SmartRecruiters is easy to use for anyone - not just hiring managers. It has more features AND it is easier to use than any stand-alone job site that I have utilized in the past. We have had a significant portion of our franchisees (who are the effective hiring managers in our organization) adopt the program. Some have become quite proficient and really enjoy all of the features. Even people who are approaching retirement have been able to jump in and effectively use the system. If there is an issue with adopting it, it is likely because a person simply does not want to.

This was the number one reason we went with SmartRecruiters. The range of computer literacy among our hiring managers is so vast, that this was most the most important aspect of which ATS to go with because we knew how much it would impact the adoption rate of whatever tool we chose. Ultimately, it is the reason our old ATS was viewed as such a failure. In reality, it was also a great tool, but everybody struggled with navigating it.

Some hiring managers find it easy to use, others just don't want to use it. Overall, I don't generally have to spend more than 5 - 10 minutes walking a hiring manager through the parts of the system that would need to use.
