Recently evaluated NinjaOne and was very impressed. Have been with the (original) N-able RMM tool for nearly a decade, but considering a switch. NinjaOne's interface is very modern and slick. Lots of great features and integrations.

Solarwinds RMM is designed as a tool for Remote Monitoring. The other guys have their RMM as a platform to sell their other products. With SolarWinds RMM, you don't get hassled to buy another part of the program or put your entire business into their ecosystem. It's a program that does its job well, full stop.

We only tested an older version of LabTech. By comparison, the newer version of LabTech is much more competitive to Solarwinds RMM than it used to be. ConnectWise Automate has far better integration options for our PSA than Solarwinds RMM, down to very granular changes for automated ticket templates.

SolarWinds definitely is the the most ready out of the box as far as getting is up and running and you can start using it where other system go from need ing a little setup like importing MIBS to completely needing to configure the system. As far a performance once things are up and working I feel they all do a good job at basic monitoring and management. The difference is that SolarWinds does a good job at having things templated but allows you to customize some attributes. If you are want to make major customization for alerts and monitoring and other things SolarWinds is not the best option. But, then again, you will not need a team just to manage the system.

SolarWinds offers more customization out of the box and allows us to build the monitoring environment to the specifications we require. We are not locked into a specific tool set with no customization options.

We moved away from Kaseya to Max Focus, which later became SolarWinds. At the time we were having lots of issues using Kaseya, with failed alerting as well as reporting. SolarWinds (Max Focus) addressed our issues. As a small MSP, the dashboard panel is intuitive, allowing the scalability for remote support and monitoring fits with our business model.

LabTech didn't offer as many tools as SW RMM at the time I was using it. LogMeIn is one of the worst tools I had to use, I got feed-up with the fact that I always had to provide a username and password to connect to a PC. TeamViewer is not quite the product SW RMM is.

It gives you the ability to control your setup without over-complicating things. You have the option to set up in your own environment, whether it's a public cloud or on-premise, or you can use their hosted solution. Some of the other RMMs may not allow the flexibility to do some of the things SolarWinds does.

Solarwinds RMM is very easy to use and can be managed with very little training. All other RMM tools tested were overly complicated and did not fit our current business needs. We were able to implement this solution to all our customers within 3 months of our start date and it was a very easy sell to all our client with its price point.

Solarwinds (at the time Maxfocus) was a better value proposition then the other products evaluated. The low per unit cost and entry point allowed us to gradually add additional features. The installation process was very easy, as is adding new devices. We have very few complaints about the software, and it just plain works!

Solarwinds is making a comeback, in that when it was purchased the development was put on hold for what seemed like multiple years, because of that we moved to LabTech (which I feel is superior in many ways). I've heard that Solarwinds is getting better, but still not up to par with LabTech.

Solarwinds RMM is a superior product to Kaseya, although they are extremely similar. ConnectWise Automate is an extremely powerful software which does a better job of handling scripting and third party application updates. It also provides a few more options when it comes to service monitoring.
