Splashtop helps us to help our Users by providing remote screensharing support for training, consultancy, installing software and general day-to-day queries. It is used across our organisation ad-hoc when Users call in or when we have pre-booked meetings for software installations, etc.
  • Splashtop was easy for us to implement internally
  • And it's easy for our Users to connect up
  • The option to customise the end user download is also a nice touch to enforce our brand and encourage trust from our customers
  • For what we use it for, I honestly can't think of one...
Splashtop is very suitable as a solution for providing simple remote screensharing between you and your clients or colleagues.

Our business needed a seamless, fast and safe platform for employees to use for accessing office network computers, business files and printers while working remote. We switched from another platform after 15 years and could not be happier with the decision. After much research, we signed up for the Splashtop free trial period and before the trial ended were convinced it was the best application for our business needs. We had a few questions and received immediate access to technician by phone and by email. The customer service has been amazing. I highly recommend.
  • Very quick initial set up required remote printing on office computer or host printer
  • No issues printing from either remote or host computer - easy set up
File sharing is easy and quick and printing was always an Issue with our last platform. It works perfectly for our needs.

I started using Splashtop when I opened my computer consulting business. It has been a terrific experience for me when helping users thought out the country.
I have clients here in the Chicago area as well as Washington state and Florida. I've been able to get to Macs, Windows pc's, and even an iPhone to help out customers.

I highly recommend Splashtop to all computer consultants.
  • Easy to set up
  • Great experience for the customer
  • Immediate response to the customer's issue
  • Wish that Apple wouldn't make it so that you need to do setup before using it (from the customer point of view)
Great for helping users who are either not in the same state as you or if they are just too far to drive to.
Great for helping customers with a simple, quick question instead of driving to the customer

Having several remote sites and several remote employees, Splashtop has been a godsend. The system has been faultless, and our employees have grown to trust their uninterrupted access. We were with another Worldwide remote software company many years ago but suffered from too much downtime and high costs. We have been with Splashtop almost since its inception and have not had any reason to complain.
  • Reliability
  • Low cost
  • Excellent remote access.
  • I can see none.
  • Maybe use icons instead of words.
  • Make mobile access easier.
We operate a small group on four remote sites and need frequent remote assistants because attending each site would be costly.

I found Splashtop when looking for a good AND affordable way to remote in and work from home and it was exactly what I was looking for. Works great for me.
  • Multi-to-multi monitors. Makes a huge difference in my productivity.
  • Connection has been really good, almost zero lag.
  • With some programs certain functionality does not work when remoted in. So far I have not noticed anything like that with Splashtop.
  • No real complaints. One thing is it could be a little more user-friendly to get your second monitor set up, but it's not a big deal, you just have to open the other window up and drag it to your other monitor. When I haven't used it for a while, I find myself having to re-remember how to do it. It could be just slightly more idiot-proof.
I only use it to remote into my work computer, for that it works fantastic. I can't really say how it works for any other scenarios.

We are a small non-profit with about 15 machines. We primarily use Splashtop for support and remote access when users cannot take their laptops home or need to access fixed workstations remotely. We have also used it to push some PowerShell scripts and run remote commands. Overall, it's a great product for our support team.
  • Remote Access for Support Purposes.
  • Good support for Azure AD joined machines.
  • Works well for user remote access.
  • Better support for Server OS's. Sometime lags on Server 2019.
  • Support would be nice for Windows Server core.
It works well for either a single- or multi-department company and would also work really well for contractors managing multiple contracts.

Splashtop Business Access Legacy - 3 Users with 2 SOS w/ Mobile addon to support our customers directly. We use Splashtop Remote Support Plus - 250 Computers that we resell to customers who want to remote their work computers as well as us remoting in
  • Remote access
  • easy
  • frequent updates
  • Top 10 wanted improvements... add this page to your website and ask users to be involved.... Page could also show the improvements coming
  • Improvements are often for the bigger packages... little guys like me don't get new stuff
  • Plenty of room on the toolbar.... would be nice to see all the monitors up there (I have customers with 4 now) and when something opens the icon for that screen flashes
good for simple remote access I don't know the capabilities for Managed services

Remote access for on premises applications and file server access. Remote accounting service staff access to perform bookkeeping services. Company staff use for remote access of files and forms. Senior management uses for accessing all applications hosted on network server but tteee applications are not accessible via internet. Splashtop is used due to security and stability.
  • Security maintained for individual users
  • Data transported securely - never an issue with hacking
  • Multiple applications and servers accessed from a single application for access
  • Auto generated use reports
Accessing a specific computer for on premise installed applications not accessible by internet connection is an ideal use. Even accessing a file server to access files is very easy and protects the data better than simply making the server accessible by internet connection - Splashtop simplifies the connection and security of the data as well as the user login.
Using Splashtop for applications such as email is possible but not necessary with email applications built in web access and user security.

We use Splashtop to allow our on-call employees the ability to access our SCADA programs remotely to ensure faster response times, and provide them the crucial information needed when responding to alarms.
  • User friendly
  • Ability to access my office from anywhere
  • Registering a new device whenever someone gets a new phone is annoying, but I understand the importance
I have some employees who aren’t the most computer savvy and they can work this without any problems.

I'm a volunteer bookkeeper/treasurer for a small non profit organization located in [...], CT. Splashtop's remote access allows me to work from anywhere. Last year, I was vacationing in New Zealand for 3 weeks. Using Splashtop, I accessed my payroll software on my home computer and process the payroll for our employees. Splashtop is super easy to install and to use.
  • great support
  • easy install
  • easy to use
  • I don't have any ideas on how to improve Splashtop
If you need to access your home or a business computer when you're not at that location, Splashtop is well suited for you. I have also used it to provide tech support for my business and my elderly father, when computer issues arise.

I live and work in Mexico and access our machines in Australia. We also use it for tech support for our customers. It is fast and reliable for us to use.
  • Remote access in a different country
  • Accessing my workstation from an iPad
  • Customer support for our clients
  • I wish we could have concurrent logins for at least a brief time to help with debugging.
For us, Splashtop is vastly superior to Team Viewer. I find it useful for our situations. You are, of course, limited by the network connection so things like streaming a movie on remote computer isn't great -- but it is possible to at least see and scroll through.

Splashtop gives me direct access to the desktops of users I support including servers that run the business. Along with fast remote desktop without firewal issues, there is a useful file manager and a system update feature. I can remotely upgrade systems not only from the remote desktop interface but also directly from the Splashtop computer list.
  • High-performance remote desktop
  • Convenient remote system updates
  • Reliable access to machines located behind any internet firewall
  • I would like if Splashtop Business could get some of the new features in other subscription tiers
  • Lower prices for the new subscription tiers would be most welcome
  • Keeping the Splashtop Streamer and the Splashtop Desktop app should be done automatically because I find lots of machines with outdated Splashtop software that I feel could have been done automatically by the Splashtop software itself.
Splashtop is great for remote desktop management within a company with lots of Windows desktops and servers and also to manage desktops for family members.
For one-off troubleshooting and configuration/upgrade scenarios, the Splashtop SOS feature is very helpful for when you don't want to permanently manage someone else's desktops and servers.

My company uses Splashtop SOS for remote support of our customers. We also use Splashtop Streamer for remote desktop access to our own office workstations when working off-site.
  • Automatic download of Splashtop SOS remote access installer from website (sos.splashtop.com). This greatly simplifies directions to clients on getting started with remote support sessions.
  • Splashtop SOS is an "on-demand" (aka portable) application, which does not require permanent installation on the target workstation. This reduces its footprint on the target workstation and reassures clients that there is no permanent back-door into their systems.
  • Splashtop (both SOS and Streamer) provide the same features as competing products from other vendors, but at a fraction of the price.
  • Enable viewing/display of the cursor (mouse) movements on the target workstation when using Splashtop SOS.
Splashtop SOS is excellent for providing on-demand (as opposed to pre-planned or permanent) remote support for new customers and one-time customers.

Splashtop is used for remote access from our other locations and when we travel on the road. This program is by far the best. We came from Teamviewer after multiple disconnections and much higher pricing. Since we switched we have not had not one disconnection or connection issue. And pricing is very fair.

  • Always connects
  • no disconnections
  • Works for all my staff and from all locations
  • Pricing is amazing
We use it to access our invoicing when we travel and from our other locations. It works everywhere. No negatives for us at all.

Splashtop was rolled out to facilitate secure "in-office" work by remote staff. It's used by hybrid staff (almost the entire organization) on their at-home days. It allows for easy, multi-monitor access so that staff can remain equally productive regardless of location. It's more secure and easier to manage than the alternatives we looked into.
  • Secure remote access
  • Multi-monitor support
  • Ease of deployment
  • Remote access to audio (microphone and speakers) should be available in all plans.
  • Sales support is slow to respond at times.
It's an ideal tool to support a hybrid work environment in which staff are not moving a system (probably a laptop) from home to work to home to work. Splashtop can be installed on a personal system, and one can have complete confidence that, in essence, the staff member is working on a company-owned computer for all tasks.

We got Splashtop during the Covid shutdown in 2020 for working remotely. We've used it ever since and love it. I allows me to administer the network remotely and other employees can access their computers from home. We can't live without it now. It is also a great value.
  • Works great on a desktop computer
  • Works well on a mobile device
  • Easy to use and secure.
Great for working from home and helping others remotely. I have used it to give technical support to employees and family members and administer our business network while at home or on vacation. Can't think a time when it is not well suited.

It's being used across the whole organization. I use it to troubleshoot pc issues, add/remove software, add/remove printers and other support related issues. It's a huge time saver for me.
  • remotely access a computer that uses multiple monitors and choose which monitor to view or view all monitors at once
  • ability to click and drag files from one computer to another, even if those computers are running different operating systems
  • deploy using group policy or email
  • ability to switch between LAN and WAN connectivity
  • difficult to connect to a AD Microsoft Account versus local or domain user
Splashtop is well suited for training users in a different location/office.

We use it to access law firm H-drives, etc. remotely
  • It is very user friendly.
  • It is much more erliable than logmein, which I had used for years.
  • It is less expensive than logmein.
  • maybe better notification of why no connection if in fact no connection is available, eg. notification that inet at office is down as cause of us not being able to access.

I found Splashtop looking for a lower-cost way of accessing and controlling remotely deployed computers. Splashtop came out on top because of ease of use and cost. I use Splashtop almost every day. It has been a very cost-effective way to access and control remote locations. Since I discovered it, I have had several of our employees get on board and use it to aid in their jobs. Splashtop just works.
  • When we hire new managers it allows remote training and on-boarding.
  • Splashtop is easy to use and deploy to new computers and groups
  • I had previously used log-me-in for remote access. Splashtop is much simpler to use and set up.
  • Splashtop gives a lot of bang for the buck.
  • Sometimes when adding a new computer it seems there are too many steps to add them.
  • Most of my use is my accessing remote locations. The ability to simply add a remote computer would be desirable.
  • Moving files are sometimes iffy. I have to be very careful to double-check that the file is correct on both ends.
Splashtop works great with simple remote computer access. If all I want to do is move a few things around it's great. If I want to deploy a new software program it seems to work as I wish. I can't actually say I find Splashtop lacking where I would consider something else. Keep up the great work on it.

We use Splashtop as it is included with our RMM, Atera. We also have access to AnyDesk, but Splashtop is our primary remote support tool. Splashtop gives us reliable remote access to our endpoints so we can help our end users. We have users all over the county and we need to be able to quickly and easily support them.
  • The overall connection quality seems to be very solid.
  • The interface is easy to use, but also allows for customization.
  • The ability to enable or disable the clipboard sync in either or both directions is a nice compliance feature.
  • The multi-monitor support works, but is very weak compared to competitors like ScreenConnect in my opinion.
  • The file transfer is slow to get started and has occasional failures in my experience.
  • In my experience, Automatic re-connection after a disconnect doesn't always work. Sometimes you need to close and start a new connection I've found.
Single monitor remote machine setups are the best for Splashtop. It does great with a single monitor. In my opinion, it is a real pain to use with 3+ monitor setups since you have to cycle through them in order instead of being able to visually select one or cycle back and forth.
