  • Social campaigns can have a big impact on ROI and lead generation, and our clients trust Sprout Social for the insights to generate such results. We have received positive feedback from clients, and have seen it ourselves in the data reporting.
  • A one-stop social hub saves a lot of back and forth, therefore saving our team lots of time when it comes to managing multiple social accounts.

  • Considering we left Sprout Social for something more inclusive, I can't say that the software had any (positive or negative) effect on our ROI.
  • Using Sprout Social, our team had few technical issues, so their performance and speed to engage did not suffer.
  • After switching from Sprout Social, we did save over $5K annually on a different service.

  • Social Listening - It has had a positive impact as we know what our customers are saying and can respond to situations before they spiral out of control and have negative brand consequences. We also can turn situations around quickly. This has saved many customers from leaving or spreading negative brand imagery.
  • Lead Gen - Sprout has provided a few leads directly, but many indirectly through pageviews from organic promotion to our Blog and generating many new subscribers, that eventually could become leads or customers. We have grown our subscribers by 3x since having Sprout on board.
  • ROI - It's hard to tie an actual number to Sprout but dozens of customers have been saved and innumerable amounts of brand image damage avoided, which amounts to thousands of dollars.

  • We use it in a limited fashion, so it primarily is just cost effective at generating cross platform reports versus having someone manually create them across multiple channels.
  • For agencies who manage client social media, this is an especially cost effective tool as managing more clients with less effort will generate a larger bottom line.
  • It helps improve the quality of data in our department reports, in terms of the social value measured, and the visual appeal of easy to understand graphs for shareholders.

  • Negative ROI: Because the platform was so cumbersome to use between accounts (not cost-effective to spend for more than 10 accounts/across 35), we actually ended up not using it very often. This means that our software bill was large and our use if it was small. We're switching providers right now.
  • Too costly per user. The company used to charge $99 for 10 accounts and one user when we onboarded two years ago. Now, this plan has increased by 50% in price.
  • Positive analysis: We did enjoy the visualization of data and the ability to see the top posts and video usage. That helped us make a few key decisions, but in the end, we decided that we needed more features and users.

  • It has been able to provide us quick metrics and takeaways for each of our clients as we compile a monthly report for about 6 of our brands.
  • We have run into issues where the paid and organic data is not separated out so we have reported incorrect data.
  • Its the most comprehensive tool we use where we can see all metrics and a general overview of how our content is doing.

  • The client that made the decision to use Sprout immediately saw the benefit because they could see that more people were being driven to their blog.
  • You could see which posts were performing the best.
  • You could see which posts were getting no engagement. Although I'd say that just because no one is engaging with them doesn't mean they're not successful. Much of the audience are lurkers.

  • With everything on a single platform, Social Media Marketing teams are more efficient in their tasks.
  • Due to the analysis that you can perform, you can create amazing reports that showcase to leadership the return-on-brand equity and investment.
  • It's ridiculously simple to use, so people of all experience levels (including none) will intuitively understand how to use it from day and hour one.

  • Sprout Social has a lot of great tools and features, but they lack good competition insights. This is something that made us pay for Socialbakers as well, so we could have the great Sprout Social tools plus the great Socialbakers Analytics.
  • It isn’t cheap. That’s for sure.

  • Allowed us to concurrently build a system where we could plan for the future and forward-looking content, events, and other publishing opportunities
  • Enabled us to audit the "marketplace" so to speak and seek out ideas based on trends and real-time analytics
  • Allowed us to develop a new workflow strain based on permission levels and internal SS workflow
