Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

If you need an online shop that deals with a large load of orders and shipments, Spryker has you well covered. But there is a hard and complex learning curve you need to be aware of, you need to be able to invest in that learning for yourself and your team. It will take some time, but it will surely pay off.

Well suited: Spryker is ideal if you want to build a complex system by yourself with many complicated processes, APIs, etc. However, you need an excellent developer team. If you don't have this team, you will fail. If you "only" want to build an online shop, your budget is small and you want to go online quickly: maybe you should look at other systems.

Spryker is lacking a lot of standard features or backend views that might be used from other systems. So if you rely on them, you have to develop the most things on your own, which needs time and is most intense. The backend is basically not made for daily shop administration work out of the box. However, if you need a flexible system, which can easily interoperate with different systems, Spryker is a good fit. We can easily connect and integrate with other systems, that are part of the eCommerce system (ERP, PIM, CMS, CRM, etc)

Spryker is well suited for companies that do not want to implement their own e-commerce platform, but still want to have complete control over the UI and the design language for the frontend. So users will never know that the website is using Spryker below the surface. The back office is really easy to use for Administrators and customer support.

If you are designing a scalable commerce system, Spryker Cloud Commerce OS can fit perfectly, whereas if you want to bootstrap your business with an online shop, maybe other commerce engine will be easier to cope with.

Spryker suits business cases with USP, where you have to do some custom integrations. It fits for high traffic and implements some curated best-in-class third-party solutions, which can be used on-demand.

Spryker is particularly suitable for complex and individual e-commerce scenarios, such as complex B2B scenarios or marketplace solutions. As a result, Spryker is not the right choice when it comes to standard scenarios with low complexity, as the system is not an out-of-the-box tool, but requires configuration effort.

For quickly building a global marketplace with millions of products and millions of transactions, Spryker Cloud Commerce OS is just what you need. Especially individual processes and requirements can be implemented very well with Spryker Cloud Commerce OS. For a small store project, however, I would not use Spryker Cloud Commerce OS, as there are simpler solutions out there for that.

Spryker offers the best architecture for complex business cases and makes individualization possible without the hassles of update issues or limitations. Plus, Spryker offers excellent onboarding, fast implementation and can be integrated very well with third-party systems like ERP, PIM, etc.

Well suited for: need for fast implementations of MVP approaches, marketplace capabilities, B2B scenarios. Less appropriate: simple B2C cases, only short-term commerce business cases.

Spryker is very well suited (B2C and/or B2B) for big companies with complex and individual business models or also if your company needs a certain level of customization. Very good fit, if you need a scalable system.
It is rather not the perfect fit for small companies or companies with very basic E-Commerce needs.

I would recommend Spryker to anyone looking for an innovative solution with many capabilities. It is also important to keep in mind that it is a framework and nothing out of the box. It's well suited for B2B challenges with international approach.

Best PHP based commerce system for highly customized applications integrated in complex system landscapes. Not necessary the best/cost effective system for standard style commerce business model of the last decade.

Great for customers who want to customize their webshop to a certain degree but not go for custom development, customers who really know what they want in terms of functionalities have the advantage to only pay for capabilities they actually need and get regular updates...

Spryker excels in b2b

Spryker is well suited for complex b2b requirements, incl. click-and-collect offerings which became famous during the covid pandemic. The various features from pricing to inventory etc are well integrated and provide a jumpstart into complicated topics. For many b2c use cases, however, Spryker can turn out to be too complex. While SAP is too big an ERP system for many companies, Spryker is too big a store system for many companies and there are more suitable solutions.

Spryker is well suited in complex B2C and B2C scenarios in which customers want to realize rather sophisticated transactional processes and therefore want to make use of existing functionality that has to be adapted and extended in order to custom tailor it to their individual needs.
Spryker is a less good fit for use cases in which only very basic needs need to be fulfilled.

[Spryker Cloud Commerce OS is] well suited when:
Faster TTM: I want to quickly map, test and optimize individual functions and business processes online.
Customer centric development: I know my customers' requirements and they form the basis for my online activities.
Individual business processes: My business processes are not standard, I must be able to map them digitally in order to realize my business model.
Target of at least 10 million euros in e-commerce sales: E-commerce is not a token project for me; we have a clear strategy and the goal of achieving or increasing annual sales of at least 10 million euros online.
Replacement of monolithic legacy solutions: I already use a monolithic e-commerce system that prevents us from growing due to high maintenance and slow development.

Less appropriate when: the points listed above do not apply to the company/project and the IT is seen as a loss center

For highly customized projects this product is well suited due to its module / component based architecture. Beside that, there are many third party modules available to integrate into your custom solution for a best of breed approach.

In case there is a strong focus on a SAP landscape, a solution from the same vendor might be a better choice, but not necessarily. It really depends on the business scenario, vision and goal.

I observe Spryker Commerce OS as a great choice for projects starting as a proof of concept or a "minimum viable product". It will help to get up and running easily when focusing on rather standard or common commerce scenarios. It will be a bit less appropriate in case existing business processes have to be replicated, which will require lots of customization - but that will be the same with many other platforms.
