Squarespace also offers useful tools like Analytics to track website traffic and sales data, as well as an Abandoned Cart feature to follow up with potential customers. Furthermore, Squarespace's integration with payment systems like Stripe and PayPal simplifies the process of setting up e-commerce capabilities on a website. Whether it's showcasing products, maintaining portfolios, or running corporate websites, Squarespace provides a time-saving and cost-effective solution for individuals and businesses alike.

Wide Selection of Templates: The extensive collection of beautifully designed templates in Squarespace has received high praise from users. Many reviewers appreciate the wide variety of options available, as well as the frequent addition of new templates. These templates are seen as time-saving features for users with limited design background and coding knowledge. Thanks to the intuitive nature of these templates, users find them extremely easy to work with and customize according to their preferences.

Great Customer Support: Squarespace's customer support has been highly regarded by users for its helpfulness and responsiveness. Reviewers mention that the support team is not only friendly but also goes above and beyond to assist them whenever issues arise. Users appreciate having responsive email replies and live chat options available for support. So much more functionality than Wix, Weebly, and Unbounce. It is so easy to make small customizations that simply are not possible with the former. WordPress does provide endless possibilities to customize the page–beyond what Squarespace offers. However, I am not skilled in web design enough to take advantage of WordPress and utilize it to its full potential without a developer.

When it comes to website management, user interface is everything. You have to be able to dive in and make sure things get done. If you can't operate the site - or make changes - easily, then you are going to sink with the amount of things you need to do to remain current. We chose Squarespace because it was the most efficient design when it comes to UX that would also cultivate the ability to make changes quickly. We wanted a program that anyone could use if something happened to the person managing it, and Squarespace provided the best option.

Our old web hoster was Webs.com. They are severely outdated in almost every aspect. The social media integrations are primitive, the templates mirror that of the early age of the internet in look and speed, and the customer support is horrid. Squarespace, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of those things. The social media integration is simple and easy. The templates are sleek, modern and responsive. And the customer support is great and award-winning which is rightly deserved.

Squarespace is much cleaner and much easier to use than WordPress. I also believe Squarespace's security is on a much higher level than a self published WordPress website. Squarespace is designed for the modern era of small business and multimedia, where WordPress is an aging relic from another decade that is showing it's age and weaknesses.

Wix has a lot more flexibility than Squarespace in designing really original web content, with the same front end, no code style that Squarespace offers. If you want to do something really unique with your site, you can drag and drop something anywhere on the page, similar to a powerpoint presentation on Wix. Squarespace is gridded, so you can only drop things in certain places and it aligns the columns into halves, thirds, etc.

One thing I really prefer about Squarespace is that you can make global changes. While Wix is very flexible, if you decide to make a significant change (font, color, etc) you have to change it on every individual page in every place. On Squarespace, the global design choices keep your website consistent in font, color, and size across your site, so you don't end up with inconsistent text or color changes.

Another benefit is that you can add custom code or pull code for integrations with forms, databases etc, which you cannot do with Squarespace.

As a non professional designer, the clean format and limitations of Squarespace are actually useful in building a clean platform.

When updating our website a few years ago, I tried a trial with Wix to see if we would want to change sites. Wix had a lot of good features. Their templates were appealing, they had eCommerce capability but we ultimately stuck with Squarespace because we like the look we were able to achieve with Squarespace, the set up and maintenance of the site is extremely easy, and the price was within our budget. There were a lot more choices we could make with the layout of the Wix site and the simplicity of the Squarespace site was really appealing as we don't have someone fully dedicated to the website design and upkeep like some companies might have.

Squarespace is superior in its design and cost. Other solutions do not offer templates and customization at the same level and quality as Squarespace. The cost and ability to perform updates myself is of tremendous value. The other services we used and considered became very frustrating. Technical issues were difficult to resolve with that service while Squarespace has always been simple and responsive during the couple of times I have had issues or questions.

In comparison to WordPress, Squarespace is cleaner and easier to use in my opinion. However, WordPress seems to have some additional plugins that Squarespace does not have – with certain projects, the WordPress plugins are necessary. Squarespace has a great customer service team offering that I have enjoyed working with from time to time. I like that I can contact Squarespace directly at any time across a wide-variety of channels.

I made a few notes on this in my previous comments, but I think Squarespace is the most user-friendly and intuitive platform than the rest. WordPress doesn't even give you a WYSIWYG option unless you pay extra! Which is not good for people who don't understand how to build websites or HTML. Compared to HubSpot CRM, while that is also a fantastic platform, it's pretty expensive. Squarespace is much less expensive and works perfectly fine for small or mid-sized businesses. If you're a large business, I don't know if I'd choose Squarespace.

While we lose some customization ability, we find that using Wordpress really requires some heavy attention to the security and update aspects. We chose Squarespace to avoid being hacked, applying frequent updates and not being timid to make major structure and visual changes to our website whenever we want.

We feel that Squarespace allows us to run our business, focus on the critical tasks and keep our site content up to date due to the ease of access and their WYSIWIG editor.

Squarespace is much better than other website builders because it is cleaner, more user-intuitive and advanced than other web page building sites. I used to use Wix and I really didn't like it at all. Wordpress can be too difficult to customize for someone who isn't too savvy on technology. Overall, I love Squarespace's simplicity and the ease of being able to adjust layouts and customize.

WordPress is much more flexible and offers a much broader and deeper range of capabilities that Squarespace. However, setting up a WordPress site can be quite time consuming in comparison, and you must commit to spending time regularly - at least once a month - to updating plugins and WordPress itself. Unless you're willing to invest a significant amount of time in building and maintaining your website, WordPress is not a good choice compared to Squarspace.

Squarespace is easier to use and has much cleaner designs out of the box. WordPress has more functionality and flexibility but it takes a little more work to arrive at a finished product you are happy with. Wix gives you a lot of creative freedom but I was never happy with how the final product turned out.

Squarespace was much more modern in design and the templates more attractive. The customization options for each template are growing and some sites are almost 100% customizable. Weebly did not have as modern designs or nearly as many customization options.

At the time I started with Squarespace, Wix had terrible templates (they're now much more similar). More user-friendly than WordPress if you don't need all the content management bells-and-whistles. If your blog is a central feature of your site, I'd recommend WordPress instead, or plugging WordPress into Squarespace if you must.

Squarespace is a great starter website, however once your business grows and you need your website more, I would switch over to Shopify. As mentioned before Squarespace makes it hard to manage multiple pages or products. It's easier than Shopify when you first start out, but eventually, most of our websites have switched over to Shopify.

SquareSpace is infinitely easier to use than any CMS I've used before. It's more reliable and saves a lot of time. I wouldn't recommend SquareSpace for large e-commerce sites or big government sites, but for small business, it's ideal.

WordPress.com is the closest competitor to Squarespace that I have used or recommended. WordPress offers significantly more options for templates, plugins, and customizations, but lacks the dead-simple and beautiful approach that Squarespace brings. It is easy to get lost in the jungle of choices - unless you know what you are hunting for. Squarespace streamlines the creation process making it a joy to build exactly what you want

  • WordPress, Bootstrap, Foundation, Twig and Craft
Squarespace is used for the small cost-sensitive projects. For functionality and flexibility we use WordPress. For full customizability, we use a custom framework or a Craft workflow.
