Wide Selection of Templates: The extensive collection of beautifully designed templates in Squarespace has received high praise from users. Many reviewers appreciate the wide variety of options available, as well as the frequent addition of new templates. Squarespace is well suited if you want to build a simple website for yourself or simple website fo your business. This is where Squarespace does well. Simple - meaning, a couple of key pages or a couple of key products. Where Squarespace is less suited is if you want to build a website with multiple pages or have 100s of products. It's not as easy to manage as say Shopify.

Squarespace is ideal for creating elegant responsive websites. Specifically, portfolios, blogs, small e-shops, corporate websites are a great match for the available feature set. Squarespace is suitable for creating full-featured content sites with multiple article categories and sections.

I build websites for a living, but do not always have time to work with one-off of very low budget projects. In these cases, I recommend Squarespace as a way for these customers to get the quality site they want at a reasonable price - and most are willing to do the work themselves (they just didn't know that they could).

Squarespace is a great website building platform if you need a small site, need to incorporate e-commerce with your site, and don't need much customization. It is not good if you really know what you're doing and need the ability to customize your site extensively. Really, I think it's a great tool for individuals and small companies needing websites, but anything larger than that would do better with a more comprehensive platform.

Squarespace will get you online with a good looking website very quickly. Sell your wares, showcase your photography, play your music, etc. It's easy to get started and easy to modify content once you're already online. A small site is a good fit for Squarespace. It's less appropriate for more complex websites especially if you need to integrate with less well known third party services.

Squarespace is great to quickly get content online in a professional manner. It's well suited for case studies and portfolio pieces. Squarespace is less appropriate for larger marketing or enterprise platforms. Its features doesn't allow for changes in interaction or story flow, making specific user objectives like press number to call difficult.

I find that Squarespace is very well suited for a small to medium size business that wants a visually attractive site that is easy to put together. However, it takes some technical knowledge to figure out the SEO and customization options (which is not unusual). The templates are very nice and offer a great deal of flexibility in choice. However, it lacks some flexibility in creating "visual" pages with a "blog-like" navigation. You either need to decide on the blog type user experience or do a LOT of manual coding to create the user and next-page flows that a blog would provide.

Squarespace is more suited to simpler sites. If you need to have complex linked galleries and pages, it is not for you. However, if you are someone who considers yourself an artist, such as photographers, bloggers, painters, etc, you will find this perfect for your work. They also have great templates for selling items with Paypal.

I love Squarespace. While it is not a perfect solution for everyone, it addresses many needs for a variety of businesses. The format lends itself to clean, modern designs, the style guide allows for creative play with colors and fonts, it works well with Mailchimp and the documentation is excellent. The eCommerce is a nice solution but not for everyone as there are limitations of viewing options (scroll over and zoom). Overall a great product that is easy to use, well priced and well supported.
