  • Because I am able to curate in real-time (relatively easily) and because the platform publishes quickly, I can post our Storify social recaps immediately after the conclusion of our games to maximize the sharing by fans who are "high" in the moment. Allows us to capitalize on emotion.

  • Again, it is has allowed us to tell a story of our meetings and events via user generated content. Without this tool, that content means something and is seen only in the timeframe of the event. We have used our Storify stories after our events. They have become part of our integrated marketing strategies.

  • Using Storify has allowed me as well as others in our department and our division to document the work we do to the people who need to see what our expertise is doing for them. One example of this would include being able to show a psychiatry professor a story package that includes local, national and international news coverage, social media, and our own communications efforts related to promoting a major research finding. Not only does this assure the professor that, yes, we know what we're doing, but that we (communications) are a valuable resource for spreading word of scientific discovery. The professor can also share the Storify package via email, LinkedIn, and professional networks. Another example would be sending a link to a Storify package over to a hospital CEO who wants a summary of recent media coverage involving his hospital and wants it in a format he can understand and share.
  • Using Storify to document media coverage, especially as stories "break," allows us to later go back and review how coverage unfolded and what successes we had, what messages we put out, etc. We can and have used Storify packages as "notes" when later creating presentations or doing talks about successful storytelling and media communications.
  • My boss can rely on the quick turnaround of Storify, meaning that if he's suddenly asked to provide "documentation" on a media story or category, he can go to me and ask for it, knowing that the product is easy to use and not something that will take me all day. I also appreciate this of course as I have a busy, multifaceted job that doesn't allow me to me loll around to struggle for hours with a product.

  • My Storify stories ran the gamut of thousands of readers to a few dozen. That was on me as far as how engaging the content was/interest in the topic I came up with, probably the length of the Storify stories as well, and how much my stories were shared by others. Those reader numbers were not unique by the way, and unfortunately counted when I looked at my own story (even though I was logged in and they could tell it was me).
  • My objectives were to let people in on a narrative story they may have missed and to cement a passing social conversation into something more long-lasting. These Storify stories are now a part of a Tumblr blog and thus can be more easily accessed. Those aren't hard and fast numbers, but Storify helped me reach my objectives nonetheless.
  • As somewhat of a disclaimer, my use of Storify was not conducted for a client but as a social media experiment so I could interact with some digital transmedia storytelling. Storify was simply one piece of an integrated online persona. That being said, it was easy to track how many people had seen my Storify stories to see which were the most popular.

  • I used Storify in an educational setting. I would ask students to discuss certain topics and then we could curate responses. Therefore, the positive impact is that I am able to collect and store these conversations. I can use them at later times to teach about the power of social media or the conversation topic at hand.

  • It definitely provides a more diversified content offering to our social audiences. Though I can't quote hard numbers, we usually had higher engagement when we shared Storify stories on Twitter.
  • It also allowed us to reach potential customers whose Tweets we included in our posts that may not have ever engaged with us otherwise. Every time we posted a Storify story on Twitter and notified those quoted in the story, we had between 1 and 10 of those people respond to the post. Each of these people were talking about products or industries relevant to ours that may not have ever known about us or engaged with us otherwise.

  • Storify has significantly increased the visibility of our social media channels. With the clean embedding options offered by Storify, we are able to present our social media activity on some of our more established channels (i.e. university websites). In turn, we can convert passive audiences into active ones.
  • Storify has really helped our constituents in the academic community embrace social media. By providing a space where social media conversations can be archived, Storify really turns social media conversations into spaces for collaborative note-taking. In short, it helped shift the perspective—making social media a tool instead of a distraction.
  • Storify helps us organize and, frankly, remember what we're doing in the social media space. It allows us to document and tell a compelling story about our social media efforts to senior decision makers and other internal constituents.
