Community Insights

TrustRadius Insights are summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, 3rd-party data sources. Have feedback on this content? Let us know!

Extensive API documentation: Several users have praised the extensive API documentation provided by the framework, which has allowed for easy integration and the ability to add specific functionality as needed.

Responsive controls for web development: Reviewers have consistently mentioned that the controls for web development are responsive out of the box. This has made it easy to create interactive and user-friendly applications.

Wide range of functionality: Many users appreciate that the framework's controls include a lot of functionality, such as presenting database information in logical formats and providing user interactive informational views. This allows for a consistent user experience across pages and applications.

Difficult learning curve: Some users have found that certain components of the software have a difficult learning curve, which can be attributed to the complexity of the control. This steep learning curve may require users to invest more time and effort into understanding and using these components effectively.

Breaking changes with version updates: Several reviewers have encountered breaking changes when updating to minor versions, such as licensing errors. These unexpected changes can disrupt workflows and cause frustration among users who rely on stable and consistent functionality. It is important for developers to carefully consider the impact of these changes before releasing new versions.

Limited theming options: Users have expressed frustration over the inability to theme components using CSS variables, which requires a fully custom solution. This limitation means that users cannot easily apply consistent visual styles across their applications or adapt to different design requirements. Offering more flexible theming options would enhance customization capabilities and improve user experience.

Users recommend exploring Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition in depth to understand its design concept. They suggest taking advantage of the community license and trying the trial version. Users highly recommend Syncfusion for any development needs as it reduces development time and offers a broad set of capabilities. Additionally, users mention that Syncfusion has the best set of tools available in the market and suggest contacting the sales team for great offers. However, users caution about potential performance problems and bugs in the Blazor tools. Overall, users recommend Syncfusion for implementing fast applications with visual and usability capabilities, and they appreciate the comprehensive support provided by Syncfusion for mobile, desktop, or web-based applications.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Well-Suited Scenarios :Enterprise Application Development,Cross-Platform Mobile Applications, Data Reporting and Analysis Tools, Document Management Systems.
Less Appropriate Scenarios: Startup Projects with Limited Budgets,Real-time, High-frequency Trading Platforms, Projects with a Heavy Focus on Custom UI Design, Ultra-lightweight Applications.

It is very useful where moderate to complex workflows are involved especially when intended users are of different skill levels. In our case, the application that is being built would be used by people whose tech skills can vary from 0 to 10.

Nice controls to have

It's appropriate when you need complex controls, don't use it if you just want to build some tables without any filters.

If you just need some radio's and checkboxes it's easier to use simple html with some bootstrap or alike css frameworks for the style

The datagrid is probably their most popular control I would think. It is so flexible and configurable. Most of mine are plain views in ASP.NET Core, but I have a whole bunch that are dynamically created at runtime in my controller. That is so powerful.

If we have a situation where we only use Syncfusion controls, usually the development of web applications goes according to the expected plan.
We mostly use controls to create a web user interface. The web user interface depends on css. It seems to me that most unexpected situations occur due to accidental or intentional use of several specialized css in the same project.

I really like Syncfusion products and I recommend it to everyone. It fits nicely in the scenario I use it, which is a C# and WPF application. I can`t tell much about other scenarios like Blazor or ASP, but I`m pretty sure it also fits nicely. The free license for developers or small business is so amazing that I can`t even describe, it`s just one of the best actions I`ve seen a company do, it`s just amazing and I just want to say thank you to Syncfusion. I wish other companies did the same.

I think Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition is very good in scenarios when you need to develop functions and you have not much time, and when the company has a server outside the company. On the other hand, when you have a server in the company or you have more time to develop, I think maybe the framework dose not fit well.

Good for Winforms and probably good for Other frameworks but haven't done that yet
Good for a small team so that you can spend time doing your application logic not GUI controls

Well Suited

  1. ASP.NET Blazor UI development
  2. ASP.NET Core Razor UI development
  3. PDF and EXCEL processing in .NET Core
Less Appropriate
  1. Old ASP.NET world like WebForm or MVC

Perfect for enterprise applications, worse might be in cases where application size or really high performance requirements are concern. In such cases these components blown with many features might be overkill.

I have used Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition controls for all my projects for seven years, and it has perfectly suited to all of them. I do not have a scenario in my mind where such controls would not be appropriate, maybe because of the type of software products we have developed.

Some times we look at different library and see same options not availabe for example I see Windows library looks better view and same is not available in Javascript / React library base. So if there is any possibility to bring those options will be very very good

Based on our experience, we have found that we can confidently speak for smaller web projects as we have not encountered any significant issues during development. Despite the increasing size of the project, we have found that working with Syncfusion continues to be a successful and efficient approach.

Lot's of stuff. Now try to keep it working. Many times there are bugs (at the moment also). I updated into next main releases last version... dam new bugs. And there exist also one newer Main release. But I knew that there were also bug because I noticed and reported it and Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition verified it. So that version wasn't possible to use yet at the time (but now it is fixed, althought I haven't tested it yet). But they need to improve quality of the product, in my opinion.

My experience has been excellent in all scenarios (design, development and technical assistance) and therefore to date the only thing I can say is to reiterate the need to unify the pdfviewer product package for win, osx and linux.
This would simplify the work for those who design and develop on win and have a production machine in the linux environment

The Syncfusion Essential Studio Enterprise Edition components have always worked well and when there are questions around some functionality, the customer support has always been rapid and precise. A suggested solution typically includes a working example.

It's generally fantastic to work with. Of course, we create custom styles, so if anyone wants to use a component that wasn't styled yet, that requires a one-time effort by someone, but that's a problem on our side. The documentation is generally very self-explanatory and I rarely get calls with questions concerning the (API) documentation of the components. It is well suited in general for larger businesses that wants to quickly write software without having to worry about having to write all the components. For a smaller business, however, or even individual users, it would be quite expensive (however I don't really know the pricing structures so I might be wrong here too!).
