Tableau Server is an enterprise self-service analytics platform that supports data-driven decision making throughout the user's organization.

It simply is used all the time by more and more people.
Migrating to something else would involve lots of work and lots of training.
The renewal fee being fair, it simply isn't worth migrating to a different tool for now.

We will continue our use of Tableau server due to the following factors:
- Cost effectiveness. This persists from year-to-year. Tableau consistently gives us the best value for the cost
- Reliability. Tableau server has been rock-solid for our users, particularly during emergencies.
- Innovation. You can bet that Tableau will release stable new versions on a regular basis.

We have often experienced the need for a function in Tableau that will be included in a future release.

Tableau Server is an integral part of the reporting suite for a client. It meets their reporting needs and has proven to be one of the most reliable painless pieces of software used to date. I believe that they are extremely happy with the product and will continue using it into the future.

We have been using Tableau for three years now and each new version offers move features and functionality. Tableau grows as our user base grows. Tableau Server is the only product in my experience that takes less than 15 minutes to upgrade.

I can only speak for myself. Even though it has its shortcomings, Tableau is headed in the right direction by making large amounts of data available to the traditional business user. I dont think its simple to learn Tableau; but its not extremely difficult either. With some training and help from Tableau support, you can improve your ability to provide analysis to your team or department.

As we look to expand our analytics capabilities we are seeking the best product to meet our needs in this area. Tableau by far meets our needs and expectations in this area. If by chance another product comes to the marketplace that overtakes Tableau then we would have to take a long hard look at our investment. But, at this time we see nothing on the horizon that fits the bill for that criteria.

With two decades of experience using and training users on software titles, it's rare that you come across a software title that can be used by the most non-technical business resources without extensive training. The ease-of-use factor with Tableau is the #1 reason for renewal.

A relationship has been established between Tableau reps and management. Tableau has been pretty flexible in some demands and they are going out of their way to do things such as lunch and learns and have an additional more personal layer of support that's being worked on, where our admins can discuss issues/ideas on a regular basis. The user projections provided by many different site admins show that more than 10,000 users will be brought on board by year end. The MIS folks and business users really like this tool.
