In our organization, TeamViewer serves as a critical tool for seamless remote support and troubleshooting. By deploying TeamViewer on our users' desktops, we enable efficient and timely resolution of reported issues. This remote access solution significantly reduces downtime, allowing our support team to address technical challenges promptly and provide real-time assistance to users across the organization. Our use case scope extends to various departments and functions, encompassing IT support, software troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
  • Cross-Platform Compatibility
  • Multi-Monitor Support
  • Unattended Access
  • Enhance Mobile Functionality
  • Expand Collaboration Features
  • Customizable Shortcuts
TeamViewer is exceptionally well-suited for IT support scenarios where technicians need to remotely access and troubleshoot end-user devices, not to mention its support for various operating systems. Also, TeamViewer's unattended access feature makes it ideal for scheduled system maintenance tasks. On the other hand, while TeamViewer employs strong security measures, extremely sensitive environments may prefer dedicated solutions with more stringent security. TeamViewer is also not suited for areas with unstable or limited internet connectivity.

I am an IT Helpdesk Support Agent and my role is to Support our Clients that are accessing a special tool called eLearning that they use for training purposes.

With use of the eLearning Software comes along the technical aspects of it. I assist clients via TeamViewer for :

1. Remote Training - demonstration or instructions on how to accessing eLearni g System on both Administrator Site and Training Site. How to register Learnes on System, How to move Learner Departments, how to Print Certificates and how to get started to the System for Amy new User. It is very convenient to demonstrate whilst I take control of the Client's device via TeamViewer to do the training or orientation. It is a job made easier plus I got to record the session for anyone who would like to reference training for the future. I enjoy using TeamViewer App for this reason, it has been one of the most powerful tools and made my day to day job easier for me

2. I use TeamViewer for Technical support. There are technical issues that come along with using our Software. We have to properly check and test if all devices are properly set or prepped and if there are any technical hiccups for Systen failing run I have to troubleshoot the System via TeamViewer. I set up and troubleshoot to ensure that all syntaxes errors are minimized for a smooth run of the system. TeamViewer had become very handy in what I can do by a click or connection away saving more time to travel to be on Site o issues that could have been dealt offsite

  • Demonstration Tool
  • Remote access
  • Sharing tool
  • Record sessions
  • Call and chat
  • Can TeamViewer have an easy access in areas which are challenged on internet. It is not easy to connect when there is unstable connection or slow, thus, causing the delay as well on target work. It pretty much cause some frustration on both parties as we can only wait when connection is at back to re-connect again
  • The free TeamViewer version has limited access to remotely connect to PC or devices. For faithful users, can TeamViewer increase more time of free remote access before a User subscribes for the paid version.
  • The chat or call box or option needs some improvement on its interface. However, everything else is OK
1. Training or Workshop Orientation on our eLearning System Software. It is a convenient tool to remotely access and where both parties are at the same page and it is the best tool to have for such purpose. Save time and money

2. On the technical support for all our Clients:-
a) Setting up devices connected to System, b) Helping to Solve System Bugs - easy access as I help clear any bugs on our System
c) Chats and Call on TeamViewer saves time and money. I have enjoyed using this tool and still do. I would not trade it for anything now.

My tech team is able to support WFH & ROBO users either with or without the user's involvement, depending on how it is setup. Techs are also able to securely remote into office workstations from home during nights and weekends to check status or troubleshoot issues.

TeamViewer extends the ability of our small team to work from anywhere and support users and applications wherever they are.

3 of the differentiators are, the ability to group computers and allow techs access to only certain groups. Customized install packages that make new installs a breeze and eliminates the need to configure new clients. The ease of use and reliability of the product.
  • Custom install packages
  • Allow techs to hear audio from the endpoint computer
  • Chat feature while connected to endpoint
  • Granular security features
  • I would like to see chat highlighted when in use by one of the participants. Often a chat will go unanswered becuse the end user doesn't notice it.
  • More integration features with Microsoft Entra and Device Manager
TeamViewer is the best product I have used for supporting WFH and ROBO users. The tech gets more granular control of the end user computer than with competitor products. The support portal is quite good, although there is room for improvement when it comes to grouping computers.

In my opinion, Teamviewer's business model seems be to lure people in with the free account, and then freeze their access when the usage exceeds some arbitrary limit. Reacquiring access requires subscribing for their business license, and the annual fee for this is very pricey (currently CDN $800). I think Teamviewer is also very cut-throat about automatic renewals. Buried in the subscription agreement is a clause providing for automatic annual renewal unless 28 days prior notice is given by the customer. Personally, I think Teamviewer does not warn the customer of an impending renewal, and if the customer tries to cancel the subscription even one day after the automatic renewal date they will insist on payment of the full year's subscription price. Other companies offering similar products take a more relaxed approach to termination. My suggestion is to explore other alternatives that are both cheaper and less predatory.
  • Nothing is done particularly well in comparison to its competitors
  • Reduce license fee.
  • Eliminate automatic renewals, or warn of pending automatic renewal.
  • Allow cancellation at any time upon 30 days notice.

We are using TeamViewer to support our users remotely. Most of the IT related queries we are solving with the help of TeamViewer. It is helping us to resolve user queries instantly. Instead of visiting users desk physically we able to access their system remotely which is saving our time and helping us to improve our productivity.
  • Remote support
  • Remote access
  • file transfer
  • It is quite costly solution compared to others
  • some features need detailed documenatation
  • except above 2 points everything is fine
It is well suited for almost all types of organizations whether it is small, medium or large scale. Even it is best remote access solution for individual also.
For large organization you can use TeamViewer AD connector to create and set up TeamViewer accounts easily via Active directory. This will help you to save your valuable time.

In today's world of hybrid and remote work, there's often a pressing demand for quick IT support. The foremost challenge was that our team members were spread out in different locations, which was a bit of a hurdle when we urgently needed IT assistance. Plus, some of our developers work on workspaces, and having a reliable connection to remote servers is an absolute necessity. That's why our IT support team decided to go with TeamViewer, a choice that's made a lot of things easier than imagined.
  • provide IT support to remote workstations
  • Sharing large files
  • no OS barrier
  • Different versions should be able to connect
Since we started using TeamViewer, It's made our support process seamless and super efficient. We used TeamViewer not for IT support only but also we've put TeamViewer to good use for speedy and painless file transfers, especially when we're dealing with those massive gigabyte-sized files. It's been a game-changer, relieving us from the hassle of managing these hefty files. Last but not least, Session recording and monitoring is an additional feature provided by this tool; which is also greatly useful from a future perspective.

In my work, we have certain clients that we do not have a VPN into their systems, and in these cases, the preferred method is TeamViewer. Its much more responsive and a bonus feature is that it lets you view both screens if the client has multiple monitors. I have also found this to be a very effective free version as well, but the paid version does offer a few more features. But the simple fact that the name is so well known makes everyone feel comfortable with it. Im very happy with it.
  • Multiple Monitors
  • Secure
  • Responsive
  • Easy to use
  • Less money
  • More support for free users
  • multiple sessions at once
We have a customer that we support that the admin assistant will not allow unattended access, but they are always with the machine when they call in needing assistance. Its very well suited for logging into the client machine when they know you're coming in and you can actually kind of train the customer on how to help themselves. Because they can watch your every move. It can also be beneficial if the customer has trust issues or just simply wants to watch. On the flip side, they can see what you're doing, so if there are any trade secrets you don’t want exposed as you work within a customers database or proprietary program you use, you might not want to use this. Additionally, there is a bit of added pressure when the customer is watching you to make sure you don’t do stupid stuff like fumble your way through a directory or something.

I use TeamViewer for employees that need to work remotely for long periods of time. In addition, I can use TeamViewer to remotely troubleshoot user machines.
  • TeamViewer does a great job reliably connecting.
  • The connection is stable and secure.
  • TeamViewer does a great job with the remote control GUI.
  • The GUI is minimal and not distracting.
  • The GUI speed is robust as well.
  • I like the connection monitor. I can see, at a glance, which machines are online and can be connected to.
  • A few years back, TeamViewer moved to an annual subscription. At the annual price-point, I feel the ROI is reduced.
  • I still have an old perpetual license. TeamViewer makes it difficult to use by not allowing it to connect to machines that have the new client software.
  • TeamViewer can improve upon making their downloads less cumbersome. Their download portal points to their annual subscription software.
TeamViewer has certainly saved many hour of labor. Being able to reach remote machines, without travel, is a huge plus. However, I don't think it is exclusive to TeamViewer's technology. There are other reputable remote software packages that would afford the same benefits.

TeamViewer is the latest system-sharing software that provides support to our customers belongs from remote locations when they face problems with their car system we use TeamViewer to connect their car's computer to ours and then diagnose the problem in a better way. This saves a lot of time and travel costs for me and my team and also allows us to provide our customers with the best and most convenient service creating a good image of the company also.
  • Helps us in doing video conferencing when needed
  • Files can be accessed and shared between different systems
  • All data stored in our highly encrypted for the safety.
  • The connection between different systems can be improved to avoid buffering and lagging while working.
  • If it would have a tool to operate the other person's computer control of the mouse and keyboards then that would have been much better.
  • Some features are quite difficult to locate due to their complex interface
When we train our new employees on how to detail and wash cars, during the training period we take the help of TeamViewer to connect with their computers and show them how to become professionals in the services which we provide and also this is more efficient than training them individually one by one which takes a lot of time and less efficient, now we can do the bulk training together at once but the main issue which we face during training is the physical interaction which highly lacks and make some of the parts of training are difficult to convey and make them understand.

  • comes with anti-malware (partnered with malware bytes)
  • Monitoring
  • Sometimes it tends to freeze
  • newer interface needs to be more user friendly

As an MSP, we use TeamViewer corporate to provide managed remote support to our customers. We solve technical support issues on windows and mac computers. We do this add-hoc with quick support and managed by installing an agent on the customers computers to provide unattended support. When people have a technical support problem, they can download the executable support file from our website for 1 time support
  • Well established brand
  • Connections are typically initiated well
  • Mobile support doesn't come as standard
  • Every year they keep increasing pricing which impacts my profits
  • Hard to reach their technical support
If you use it for internal IT, this might be an ok solution
As an MSP where margins are always under pressure, I can't recommend. It's not as feature rich as other providers and I don't like the annual price increases. To make matters worse. There is a contract cancellation window. If you are too late with cancelling your subscription you are stuck for another year at a higher price

Both the relatively simple connection with the computer that one wants to access and the incredibly fluid transmission and quick response. I honestly only remembered Team Viewer as a backup plan for remote control of a different PC in case something on a different computer didn't work. But as of late, it is no longer an option for my work from home office – Team Viewer has really taken off in the past few years!Fluid and simple remote control of my business laptop from my stationary computer since I am unable to use a VPN client. The app is most useful when a person is sitting in their home office and experiencing technical difficulties. So, the IT department can easily switch to their own computer and control it remotely in addition to viewing the screen. The program is a waste of time, especially if you have a 27" i Mac in your home office instead of a portable device that can't even be transported to the office.
  • I mostly use it to fix computer problems or to get computer problems fixed in the home computer I use for my office.
  • The advantage is that installation is very simple.
  • The IT department can easily switch to your personal computer and not only view the screen, but also remotely control it.
  • Teamviewer is a fantastic program if you need the assistance of a computer expert, for instance, who needs access to your computer to analyze and fix issues.
  • Teamviewer is fantastic for working from anywhere because you don't need to bring your large workstation with you and can continue using it if you don't have a laptop or if you need to access your large workstation's archives while traveling.
The ease of use, especially for users who need support. The Team Viewer Quick Support tool is very useful in this situation. Only the most essential details, such as the ID and password that the Administrator needs in order to choose themselves, are provided here. This software doesn't require installation and can be launched directly by the user. Additionally, it is very nice to have the option to brand the Quick Support Tool.

Our organization is using TeamViewer to help our customers solve their software issues. With its remote control feature, our support team can directly control the client's computer remotely and make necessary fixes. TeamViewer also has made it possible to monitor the work progress of our team and guide them to increase productivity. The software is compatible on macOS, Windows, Linux, and mobile devices. TeamViewer has been the key infrastructure of our organization to improve the reliability and customer satisfaction of our services.
  • Securely control the user interface of a remote computer.
  • Monitor and guide our team members remotely.
  • Increase business revenue by providing remote support services.
  • Boost reliability of our organization.
  • The authorization system of TeamViewer can be made on single click or tap.
  • The user interface can be improved to make it more easier.
  • It can be made more faster.
When your client or a team member is stuck due to issues in their computer, TeamViewer is best suited to get access to their computer and fix the problem remotely.
The software is less appropriate when you want to work dedicatedly on a remote computer. It is also not suitable for slow internet and old operating systems.

I strongly dislike TeamViewer. It does work well (when it isn't down, which is a weekly occurrence) but the fact remains that our company pays for a license with this software and I (and my colleagues) are consistently plagued with issues while trying to use it to do our jobs. I severely miss LogMeIn (the software my company switched to TeamViewer from) as we used it for 4 years without a single issue. It is unacceptable to me how frequently we are all left unable to service our clients because the software is down.
  • GUI
  • End-user experience
  • Availability across end points
  • WHY IS IT DOWN ALL THE TIME?
  • TeamViewer experiences outages that affect licensed users at least once a week
  • WHY IS IT ALWAYS DOWN???
TeamViewer is well suited for people/businesses that do not solely provide remote support to clients. It's a great software for occasional use, but unfortunately it does not have the legs to be a full solution for businesses supporting clients remotely every day, 8 hours a day. Obviously something needs to be done to make it more reliable and robust. I would expect this type of performance for the free version, but the fact that the paid version is this awful is just embarrassing.

TeamViewer helps our product support team with connecting quickly with end users, customers and internal employees that are facing issues with our product and helps in rapid resolution of open support tickets within SLAs.

The application is lightweight and also has a web-based version for quick/emergency use in critical situations. The support services are very good as well when it comes to response time.

  • Quick application that is easy to use
  • Works on multiple device form factors
  • Secure connection (VPN)
  • Web portal is always accessible to anyone
  • More differentiators from competitor offerings
  • Multifactor authentication
  • Generate reports after use
TeamViewer is a really good, multi-platform supporting application that is really simple to use for first time users and also a portable application that can be installed within a couple of minutes.

Scenarios where TeamViewer can be used by bad actors to perform cyber attacks and breaches needs to be somehow prevented.

This is a great solution for IT support in a hybrid work world.

With Covid, if I go down so did support, also with users being remote with Covid or because of the Hybrid work model, it created disadvantages with being able to work on a computer while remote.

I am able to now connect to computers from anywhere and assist as if I am onsite. Which is ideal for remote and especially if required Admin approval, as some RDP softwares do not allow for that.
  • Allows for remote admin support
  • Allows access to all utilities
  • Allows great view of systems
  • Not always requiring for passwords
  • Allowing trusted devices
  • Multi screen view
Great when working remote, having employees working remote and requiring assistance from IT

Great for giving admin approval for functions while remote or employee remote

Not great when trying to work with multiple people or multiple screens

Teamviewer is a highly reliable tool for supporting other computer and phone users. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, the ability to see what another person is seeing on their computer screen or phone and to guide their ability to correct a situation is vital. I use it especially to access my computers when I'm not in the same location. That way, all information on one computer (including the software in use) is available no matter where I'm located. I never find myself wishing it had any additional functionality and I'm pleased with how reliable it has remained during all my years of use.
  • Screen sharing
  • File copying
  • Video conferencing
  • As I said in my review, I've never needed a feature that Teamviewer didn't have
When assisting a user with less technical experience, all I need to do is get the user to start Teamviewer and I can take over from there. I can describe what I'm doing or provide verbal assistance and watch as the user implements my instructions. It is far easier for me than either imagining what's on the user's screen or going to visit the user. It is far more successful for the other user than having to figure out how to describe what the user is seeing or waiting until I can visit.

I have three computers in different locations and have used TeamViewer to move files from one to the other, open documents, update computer files etc. I have been using the free version as all of the work is limited to these three computers, all of which our owned by our mission.
TeamViewer has now limited my account, saying my usage indicates I am using their program for professional support. In my experience, I have tried to contact support but have had no help and so.
I feel, if a company offers a free version of their product then they should make it actually available!
In my opinion, if a company can't be trusted in small things no way should it be trusted it for a large investment.
  • TeamViewer allows uncomplicated access to computers in remote locations
  • It works without any problems and allows copying, moving of files
  • TeamViewer also allows you to access all the drives connected to the remote computer. It is a great program
  • It's free for non-commercial use - in my opinion, as long as they don't accuse you of commercial use
  • Offering a way to dispute TeamViewer's decision that a user is using their product for profit
As a free program, it works wonderfully to access remote computers. But for whatever reason, in my experience, when the company decides you are using it for professional support (even if all of your use is your own computers) you are finished and there is no way to get it changed.

Sometimes our problems with TeamViewer were about delay or slowness. I mean, when I wanted to transfer some files by TeamViewer, it was transferring my files slowly regardless of a good Internet connection and high speed of my Internet connection. By the way, TeamViewer is one of the best remote access platforms.
  • Security
  • Productivity
  • Record
  • Chat
  • Connection speed

The best scenario for me about using TeamViewer is for troubleshooting systems and software, so Helpdesk is the key for TeamViewer and I believe since many years ago Microsoft Remote Desktion has been completely replaced by TeamViewer.
I do not use Teamviewer as a platform for meetings because it does not support full functionalities on this issue.

We use TeamViewer to easily connect and control our users PC who are not available in the office or working from home. The installation of TeamViewer is very easy and user friendly. With a simple guidance, our users can easily download and install TeamViewer if TeamViewer is not installed on their laptop or PC.
  • Perform remote systems administration
  • Share remote desktop easily
  • Host Meeting
  • One-time password doesn't work properly. This feature need some improvement.
  • Telnet feature should be added in Team Viewer.
TeamViewer provide remote support functions for users , who work from home and manage remote computers in small, medium, and large networks. TeamViewer gives you access to a remote computer, whether the user is in Office or home. Many people are using TeamViewer from last 17 years because you can easily view a remote computer from more than one location. In addition, this program is one of the oldest, fastest and most secure remote control programs that are available on the market today.

TeamViewer was and is used as a backup form of remote access for our remote users. the reason we have TeamViewer is that we have a lot of users who are not on our Primary network. this allows us to support them wherever they are. It is easy enough for my Engineers to use
  • Remote access
  • File Transfers
  • Ease of install when system is on site
  • Better remote access options
  • Speed
  • End-users need knowledge not easy for them
The software works well enough for a Small shop. Once you grow it becomes too cumbersome to manage. While the software does what it should it does not excel at anything. I think this software is good for a small subset of users less than 50 end users. Keep that in mind
