We have been using TeamViewer mainly for supporting clients remotely. The best part about using this tool is its ease of usage & the right sets of features it provides. TeamViewer also facilitates us with a lot of advanced screen sharing capabilities along with a very high level of encryption. It eliminates any kind of in-person visit to the affected site as every possible troubleshooting can be done virtually over a call with the end-user. This in turn saves a lot of time & FTEs as well resulting in increased efficiency.
  • No issues establishing remote connection session even in low latency network.
  • Two-way files sharing capability.
  • Very easy to set up & manage the connections with unique session keys.
  • Flexible licensing costs.
  • More integration with third party tools are required.
  • Activities scheduling post remote connection is not possible.
  • Can optimize its UI for a better experience.
  • Version Compatibility is a major issue when connecting to a computer having the different version of the tool.
TeamViewer is well suited for those situations which demand urgent support to get the services up & running. Be it professionally or for personal use, it always comes in very handy wherein any technician or a person can initiate a remote connection with the intended user to fix their computer related issues virtually.

We support clients who need an affordable method to connect to their computers remotely. It is a very user friendly experience which helps our customers better understand their own technology.
  • Easy to use. It's a very short installation.
  • Mobile TeamViewer applications work well with a standard PC.
  • Affordable
  • We don't have to change our current screen sharing software to utilize TeamViewer.
  • A good internet connection is required for stability.
  • Some minor vulnerabilities (as with every screen sharing advice)
Your client wants access to a server, but they don't want to utilize Windows RDP. This is a simple method to get them connected. If you want a more secure method when traffic is being blocked then you can probably find a better service to use. If a client comes to you wanting to work from home then you may invest in something a little bit more supported than TeamViewer. LogMeIn for example has a plethora of features to make sure their users feel secure. Plus it is a lot more optimized for the end user. But if they just want to log in and start working then TeamViewer is good software. I've used it for my home computer for over a year and I don't have a lot to complain about. I would say it isn't ideal for MSP unless you have no other form of screen sharing.

TeamViewer is used to connect to computing resources on the internal network in order to access IT resources not published to the Internet. It is used primarily by the IT department. We also use it to provide remote support to end-points and users as and when needed. TeamViewer is easy to set up and can group resources where VPN is not an option.
  • Reliable for always on-access, where VPN is not an option.
  • MFA at login provides additional security.
  • Random password one-time password makes accidental access harder.
  • Remote control is not very refined.
  • Tighter integration with windows security standards to make remote control useful.
  • Session recording could be improved.
If VPN is available and working well, then TeamViewer is not necessarily a better option. It still requires a dedicated computer to VPN to in order to support it or the rest of the network. Ideal for small organizations where costly VPN solutions are not available.

Providing one-on-one computer-computer support is where TeamViewer works well.
The non-commercial option makes it ideal for occasional use.

We use TeamViewer at our company as a way for our Information Technology staff to be able to access our remote workers to assist with their technical issues. TeamViewer addresses this need perfectly with a solution that allows us to remote in and resolve issues without the need for the end user to open ports in their router.
  • Remove desktop.
  • File transfers.
  • Support chat.
  • Ease of access to remote machines.
  • It could be easier to tie TeamViewer into an Active Directory like Azure Active Directory.
  • It would be nice to be able to change the TeamViewer ID of a saved computer if a reinstall occurred instead of having to recreate the connection.
  • Have a way to remote monitor a desktop without the end user's knowledge.
TeamViewer is well suited for Information Technology helpdesk departments that need to remote into machines or servers without being in the same location as the machines. This is a benefit for large organizations that span countries or even the entire world. TeamViewer is less suited for a way to remote monitor an end user as the end user receives a box in the right corner of their screen that lets them know someone is connected and who it is that is connected to their machine. They have the ability to close the connection which at times is a cause for frustration when you are in the middle of working on their computer and they close the connection on you.

TeamViewer is used to allow access to systems that we don't want or can't have open the usual ports for RDP or another built-in application for gaining remote access to systems. In this time of pandemic and working [remotely] at home or another location it is imperative to be able to access applications and systems remotely, but securely and with little hassle.
  • Remote access to servers with an at terminal like experience
  • Easy access to multiple systems with little setup and hassle
  • Secure communication with multifactor authentication
  • The interface can be a little confusing to start with, but a little invested time overcomes this
  • Better organization for using with multiple systems
  • It is a solid program with few faults I can think of
When VPNs are not available and remote access to servers or other systems is needed TeamViewer is a great option for its ease of setup and its simplicity for accessing remote systems. The interface is well laid out and with a little time investment becomes simple to navigate. Not really ideally suited for large implementations, but I have only ever used it for accessing a handful of systems.

TeamViewer is mainly being used to support clients with questions and basic issues that do not need an on-site visit. This saves the customer and technician hrs and resolves issues much faster.
  • Remote control is quick and easy allowing smooth service calls
  • Installation is simple and customizable
  • Limiting the number of host machines I can save in my account listing is a big negative. I understand limiting the number of concurrent users, but just having them all on my list doesn't affect anything but my time trying to keep all my customers updated in a spreadsheet.
The software is better and more flexible than it's competitors. It works really well in a residential environment where the users are not very knowledgeable about computers. The icon is easy to identify and the ability to customize it with your own logo and message is comforting to the end-user.

We use TeamViewer to remotely assist our distributed endpoints on a daily basis. Most of these endpoints are connected to our LAN but we also connect to machines outside of our network to assist our employees while they're performing remote work.
  • TeamViewer is very easy to use
  • TeamViewer is known by most users and can rely upon it
  • Clipboard integration and screen sharing are very seamless with TeamViewer
  • Quick Connect client works well for users who don't already have TeamViewer installed
  • The Corporate version of TeamViewer lacks easy permissions and sharing between groups configured within TeamViewer. Each group has to be manually configured
  • TeamViewer doesn't have a tool to deploy itself, 3rd party tools or GPOs are necessary
  • Remote execution of commands such as installing software or launching scripts without connecting to an endpoint would be a nice feature. 3rd party tools are needed.
TeamViewer works very well for remotely assisting employees who have the client installed. Easy screen sharing and control make it well suited for a help desk team to perform all essential duties. TeamViewer works well in controlling computers that don't have monitors or peripherals connected. In our case we have several computers mounted to lobby displays, we can easily connect to these computers without RDP interfering with what's displayed on the screens.

The IT company we use for technology issues works with us through TeamViewer. When the program is initiated, it populates two codes we tell our IT tech. The tech then enters those codes on their end and it allows them to operate a computer as if they were sitting at our desk, even though they are at their office across town. There have only been a few occasions where they needed to come to our office and take a computer back to their shop to work on it. Otherwise, they are able to fix 97% of our issues via TeamViewer.
  • Allows Remote Access to Computers
  • Has never worked improperly
  • Easy to Install and Use
  • Cannot think of anything that needs to be improved. It works wonderfully.
The program allows remote access to your computer so it should only be used by someone you trust. Our IT company gains access to our computers with this program. You cannot work on your computer at the same time as the other party. They control your mouse cursor and use it to perform whatever action is needed. If you move your mouse, it will override their actions.

We currently use TeamViewer throughout the organization. It is utilized by our helpdesk to remote access our staff remotely. It is a great application that works silently in the background. It works consistently with no issues. Reliability of the software is very important as this is our only way to remote in.
  • Remote access to staff computers.
  • Help with troubleshooting.
  • Allows us to maintain physical distancing during COVID restrictions.
  • File transfer could be better.
TeamViewer is well suited for providing remote access to our users that are not physically at locations where we have IT staff in the office. This also includes the rare times when a user experiences computer technical issues outside core work hours. TeamViewer also allows our staff to continue to work remotely during COVID restrictions. Where in the past they would be in the office and have access to local IT staff.

We use it to access out of band machines and one-off support requests for outside the company users. We also sometimes use it to access test machines in a pinch.
  • Easy end-user interaction.
  • Easy file transfers.
  • Very simple setup and installation.
  • Chat is easy to use.
  • RDP performance could be better. Very pixelated.
  • Somewhat difficult to instruct users on how to download and install the client from their website.
  • Needs improved startup times for end users so that they can see their PIN numbers more quickly.
It’s well suited for out of band support.

We use Teamviewer from a remote help standpoint. Our integration is with intune and JAMF and it uses very little interaction from the end-user. We do everything from intune or JAMF and use those remote sessions to get into the computer to assist our end users. Before intune and JAMF we had users go to a customized web address and had them download the remote session.
  • Integration with current systems
  • Ease of use
  • Management of computers with the organization
  • More streamlined drop down when in remote session.
  • The chat box
TeamViewer replaced a very clunky remote help program and TeamViewer is just so easy to use and integrate into any environment. It has helped with the ease of use by our end users.

It is used for remote management on a PC in the office. It's frequently used by individuals and is easy to understand. So easy to use. And we're using it for the customer to remote manage. But when a failure occurs, we can not prove it. we wants more support programs.
  • Easy to use
  • Lot of users
  • Well known
  • Anxiety about security
  • Easy number exposure
  • Must be installed
We used remote support (Teamviewer) for our customers. But the customer's PC was secured. In particular, I couldn't install it on that PC. There was no way to solve this problem, and in the end, after paying a lot of time and money, I went to solve the problem. No install is a trend, But Teamviewer is old.

I am using TeamViewer for remote access of users' systems. This application is helping me to connect with users remotely & resolve technical issues they are facing with their systems immediately. This is helping me a lot to give immediate resolution to users with minimum downtime of systems.
  • Remote access to system - You can do anything on a remote computer to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Remote log off & Switch user - Remotely you can log off or use the switch user option to log in with another ID on a remote system.
  • Wait for the Partner option you can use to reconnect the system again after you restart the system when you are connected remotely through TeamViewer.
  • If the remote user is not having any Admin rights then also you can use TeamViewer to connect that system by using windows Admin credentials.
  • We are struggling a lot to get access to all the things when the remote user is not having Admin credentials on the system. Sometimes we are facing trouble in connecting to the remote system through Admin login credentials in that situation if the user also does not have Admin rights on the local system then we are facing issues. If this is taken care of by TeamViewer then this one is the best app to work.
TeamViewer is best for remote troubleshooting of computer-related problems.

We did use TeamViewer in remote development work to get remote access to our computers in different locations.
  • Remote desktop quality
  • Ease of use after established connection
  • Licensing
  • Prising
  • Customer care
At first freemium worked well. Anyway, some concerns arrived when the pay version was needed and the yearly plan was the only option. And the disaster came when renewal happened after 6 months of no use. There are no monthly plans available. There is no way to get a refund if the renewal has happened. My honest opinion is that majority of TeamViewer users need it just for some limited period of time and this company wants your money more than your respect.

Teamviewer is very important in our organization so that N3 support can help our field analysts in equipment activation and/or support to investigate any problems that the equipment may present. We used Teamviewer because of its lightness, simplicity and security that stands out from other similar products.
  • secure remote access
  • Instant Message
  • File Transfer
  • Access the microphone of the remote machine
TeamViewer is very suitable for technical support teams that need to help other analysts or even end users within corporations. It can also be used for meetings where you can share content with other users who are participating. Sending files to remote machines. All this safely and reliably with the client always up to date.

We use TeamViewer mainly for remote support of customers' computers and servers. Much of the work we do is best-done off-hours, while no one is using the computers and servers we need to work on. Being able to do this remotely means the customers can go home after their work day is done, and then we can log in remotely to do the work. It's also quite common for a customer to call in with a problem where we can quickly make a remote connection to their computer and resolve the problem, rather than having to schedule a time to drive to the customer's office to do the work in person.
  • It provides secure remote access to computers and servers.
  • Once it is set up and working, it is generally reliable.
  • It allows us to see an organized list of customers' computers that we have access to.
  • TeamViewer is very difficult to set up initially when trying to set up a permanent remote connection. It requires several steps that have to be done just right, or else it won't work, and doesn't give any indication of why it won't work.
  • TeamViewer is slow to make the initial connection.
  • Compared to other remote support products we use, TeamViewer lacks several features, such as the ability to see detailed information about a given computer without logging into the computer.
TeamViewer is probably best for the person who simply wants to access his office computer from home or on the road. It also works well for the "one-off" support call, where a customer just wants to temporarily give remote access to his computer to a support person. For an IT support company like mine, where I need to have consistent, reliable connections to and control over many customers' computers, there are better, more affordable solutions available.

TeamViewer is used by a department in our organization. Our goal here is to enable the relevant department to continue its business by connecting to the system it wants to access, platform / time independent and without any additional approval. TeamViewer can solve remote access problems in a very practical way.
  • Remote Connection
  • Reliability
  • Ease of file transfer
  • Installation is simple and customizable
  • User-friendly interface
  • Multi Platform Support
  • If either side doesn't work in the old version, that's definitely the worst feature.
  • It does not work properly if there is no fast and stable connection on both sides.
TeamViewer provides convenience in many scenarios you can think of, such as supporting remote users and working remotely. Imagine that you can connect to a system with [the] internet from any platform you want without any problems. On top of that, the user interface is equipped with the tools you will need in many areas.

When you have many users, and a problem or error occurs in a personal computer, software, or connected device, a situation that is difficult to transmit by phone, etc. can be entered into the other party's personal computer from here to understand the situation and investigate the cause. Since it has become possible to some extent, the number of visits to users can be reduced, leading to more efficient work.
  • TeamViewer is used as a simpler and more secure way to connect to the other party's PC.
  • With the paid version, you can establish a session by simply sending the URL to the other party, downloading the client software from this URL, and keeping it open.
  • It has reduced the method of access so that it is not complicated for the end user.
  • What I most want you to improve is the pricing system rather than the function. I want you to revive the purchase plan.
  • I feel that the version changes frequently, so I hope you will continue to work on it for a longer period and update it.
  • Certainly, considering the recent security updates, I understand that I want to maintain a new status with a subscription, but I'm concerned that it costs a lot.
Instead of visiting and responding to any problems displayed on the computer, it is possible to understand from a remote location if the work cannot be improved without visiting, thus streamlining the activities of the on-site staff. I feel it is convenient for division of labor, such as checking defects, clarifying how to deal with them, and improving efficiency in dealing with them.

TeamViewer is used to access systems remotely where Citrix or a VPN solution is not available. It allows users to interact and continue work off-site, and it also allows users to access different platforms such as Windows and Macintosh systems. We have users connecting globally to access systems in smaller remote facilities and offices, it has become an effective tool during the pandemic.
  • Remote Console access
  • keyboard and mouse emulation
  • file transfer
  • Secure
  • like to see it used over an SSL connection
  • better costing models for smaller companies
TeamViewer is most suited for small office footprints where the cost is less expensive than implementing a VPN solution or a Citrix solution. Team Viewer is perfect for small remote offices and offices that have no on-site IT support. In larger offices, a secure VPN or the use of Citrix is more applicable. I also prefer TeamViewer to use a VNC product as it is more secure.

TeamViewer has been extensively used by me personally in our organization because of the covid outbreak and the lack of mobility to visit the offices physically.
It is used extensively to troubleshoot systems that are physically kept in the office and access them in the most secure way. Easy to use and extremely user friendly.
  • Good connectivity in low internet bandwidth
  • Cost effective
  • Secure
  • Timeout limit should be optimised
  • Unattended access should be improved
  • Lag in input should be improved
TeamViewer is used to access the systems on which Our RPA bots are deployed. It is used extensively to troubleshoot any errors that occurs in the robot exection. I'm using TeamViewer for many years, but during the lockdowns during the pandemic peak days, we all were mandated to work from home. Now, we are having most of our files on our office PC and then TeamViewer played a vital role, it allowed accessing the office systems via our laptop or mobile remotely.
  • TeamViewer works great in all the environments.
  • It works on Smartphones, Tablets, and Computers as well.
  • It can be also used to transfer files, chatting, video calling, remote printing, etc.
  • TeamViewer is one of the best solution for remote diagnosing.
  • Its premium pricing is subscription based, and is a little bit on the higher side.
  • It doesn't work as expected on slow internet connections, connection breaks so often.
  • Remote wakeup feature doesn't work on many systems.
TeamViewer is well suited in any case where one wants to remotely access a device. It works great in most the use cases. It is one of the must-have software for employees who are working from home. This might be not suitable for you if you want to access a mobile from another mobile.

I use TeamViewer to perform deployment tasks on application servers remotely, I also use it to control my computer remotely and perform code reviews, ticket management, connect through VPN networks, check application logs, do error handling and perform devops and infrastructure tasks.
  • Full control of equipment remotely.
  • Compatibility with different operating systems.
  • Very easy to use.
  • Sometimes is difficult to connect and I got several errors before I can get connected.
  • It should have a version of the UI more adapted to mobile devices.
  • The possibility to control mobile devices.
It is very useful for equipment control and remote monitoring of problems, it cannot be used to control mobile devices, this could be a very useful feature that could be included although it has many security and privacy considerations.

We used TeamViewer as a remote desktop access to get support users with the different solutions they're using. It was deployed across all departments to speed up issues resolution and more importantly, allow agents to get better reproducible examples of what is not working as well as the environment variables.
  • Straightforward setup for both admins and users.
  • Very proficient file transfer.
  • All-in-one solution if you need more than desktop control.
  • Difficult to justify the price considering all other alternatives.
  • No self-hosted option which ended up being a deal breaker for us.
  • Customer support got worse over the years, difficult to reach out.
TeamViewer is great for traditional support scenarios where an agent needs to double-check information or reproduce the issue from a user perspective. The performance is generally very good with no noticeable lags or freezes. You buy concurrent user licenses so that's definitely a plus on the budget side, compared to named users options.

TeamViewer is currently our remote support solution to manage endpoint computers and really helps us with our remote workforce. It allows us to connect and view the user's screen, and makes troubleshooting easy. All that's needed is a network connection, so this is a game-changer for us. We can also use TeamViewer to transfer files.
  • Connect to an end user's computer or mobile device.
  • Allows our IT department to support a remote workforce
  • Makes transferring files from one device to another easier
  • Some connections are periodically dropped
  • Speed of connection
  • UI could be simplified
During COVID, it definitely helped troubleshoot issues with work-from-home users. We could also transfer install .exe of ISO files to deploy software. In some cases, our remote workforce would not have a fast network connection at home. Sometimes TeamViewer would drop the connection, or flat out refuse it.
