TeamViewer is overall a better application as compared to AnyDesk and GoTo Resolve since it is slightly better than the two in terms of connectivity, authentication and rapid support services.

Apart from the above mentioned points, the features are very similar to AnyDesk, however it is still our preferred application.

I've tried a few different ways to provide remote help over the many years I've been providing technical help (since 1987) and Teamviewer consistetly comes out the best. I've also tried numerous ways to access my own computer and data remotely and Teamviewer is the only one I consistently come back to.

TeamViewer free version has more features than AnyDesk free version has. Allowing for remote unattended access to more than one computer. It is also easier to set up and use than any desk. While AnyDesk is a great program with great features for free - TeamViewer is a step ahead. On the other hand, AnyDesk continues to work for me and TeamViewer has limited the use of our account by, in my opinion, falsely saying it is being used for professional support.

Because TeamViewer is the most reputable company for remote access service as a platform. Also, with TeamViewer, I am sure that our security for sharing my data and information can be secured fully without any intervention. Another factor that causes TeamViewer stacks up against them is related to its reliability and popularity of it.

I have selected TeamViewer over AnyDesk, because AnyDesk remote address was duplicated with our 2 or more organization computers. Because of this we are facing remote connectivity issues and were not be able to connect to our Users. So we advised our users to download and install TeamViewer for remote desktop support.

TeamViewer's main advantage is its cross-platform compatibility, meaning that you can use it on other operating systems other than Windows. The main features are present in both tools, like file transfer and taking control of the endpoint machine. Teamviewer is a third-party app that needs to be installed and often updated, whereas Remote Desktop Connection on Windows is a built-in tool that comes along with the SO, but its cross-platform ability makes it a better choice to use across our entire infrastructure.

In past years there was little competition in the remote assistance market, TeamViewer was the only viable option. These days, Quick Assist, is included with Windows 11 for free. AnyDesk is as good as TeamViewer for a third of the price. If you're a bit tech savvy, you can setup Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection without too much trouble. Chrome Remote Desktop is completely free, and does the job as expected.

TeamViewer is a 10 compared to the alternative. In office sessions are easy to set up but mobile and other users not within our organization takes too much time to set up for remote sessions. TeamViewer is ahead of the game compared to most features offered. Installation is also very easy and quick.

I love that all the apps are interconnected. I don't have to work separately on a standalone system, the products are quite easy for end users to use, the uptime is very good, the product is virtually maintenance-free, and the multi-layered security is excellent from a security standpoint. I chose TeamViewer for the support, usability and number of users who prefer them and have the service for its easy handling.

We did a brief trial of Go To Assist and divided upon Team Viewer as we felt that it had a slightly richer feature set. We also preferred the UI/UX of Team Viewer in comparison to Go To Assist. In terms of pricing, this was pretty much similar to both products.

When I tried LogMeIn and VNC, I discovered that TeamViewer was more reliable, quicker to set up, and more consistent in terms of connection stability and reliability. All in all, it is a more cost-effective and efficient solution that can be deployed without the need to open firewall ports and can be installed effortlessly by any end-user.

As an alternate collaboration toot one can use Skype with its screen sharing functionality and it also provides the ability to hand over control to another user although we have not used this functionality. However, it does seem that TeamViewer is more aimed towards a host "taking control" as apposed to a host "handing over control" to an attendee.
When collaborating on a document of spreadsheet, one could simply use Google Drive with Google Docs or Sheets. This is however limited to the specific document and you would not be able to jointly jump between applications.

Compared to applications such as GoToAssist, TeamViewer is leaps and bounds ahead due to the well developed mobile and desktop support applications. The tiered pricing structure also adds more flexibility than other remote support applications.

Mac support on TeamViewer was a major advantage given the majority of systems run Windows. Applications such as GoToAssist lack severely in the department of Mac and mobile device support.

TeamViewer has nearly everything an IT organization could need for supporting a broad set of geographically dispersed endpoints.

Security is a major concern for any organization as well as clients. Choosing a remote access solution comes with its risks. TeamViewer is so far the best option and has a good safety track record to ensure that you and your data and client are safe. Other competitors didn't have any such guarantees.

TeamViewer works really well and is easy to use when all versions are in sync. So our choice for overall ease of use would be TeamViewer but due to version issues and pricing issues, it is not our primary remote support platform. Should they improve the versioning issues and come up with a more reasonable pricing schedule, we would be very likely to make it our primary remote support platform.

LogMeIn is the only comparable software for business, as I have used others in my personal life. I believe that both services are top-notch and have a few differences. Still, for my organization, we plan to integrate Microsoft Intune, and the only remote access software it supports is TeamViewer Tensor. TeamViewer tends to have less lag and is more responsive than LogMeIn.

  • SolarWinds Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE)
TeamViewer is fully featured while other tools (Dameware) have more options but can be a more involved configuration. In comparison to Remote Utilities, the import features are just about the same for bulk import of active directory or CSV files. I feel TeamViewer stacks up very well against all the competition, including VNC, which can be cost-effective, but not as full-featured with security features as TeamViewer in my use cases.

We used LogMeIn years ago and found their progress in keeping pace with technology was not as good as with TeamViewer. We used both products for a while so we could ascertain which was best, and TeamViewer came out a clear winner. Security was also a big consideration of ours and the feedback we received from our clients clearly showed they felt more secure with our connection from TeamViewer than with any other product.
