In covid time we all were doing work remotely and we need some office computer to use so we already had installed team viewer in office devices so that we can easily access the office devices easily without even going to the office. It help a lot to make a use of the other devices.

For me, its been great for providing support to other users with less experience since it is easy to download and install. It is well suited for beginners as well as advanced users.
Setting up can take a bit of time specially unattended access since you must create an account and all.

TeamViewer is robust remote access software full of features and collaboration tools like transferring files, hosting meetings and presentations, and of course remote control and remote access. Everything that needs to be done on a computer by a distant operator, no matter where he is, can be done through TeamViewer.

With the global pandemic changing how we work and interact, remote control tools are more essential than ever. Over the last 18 months we have migrated most of our staff to working fully remotely. TeamViewer makes it easy to continue to support their software and technical support needs while maintaining physical distancing or supporting workers in remote areas. Our users prefer to launch TeamViewer only as needed, so their PCs are not always open for connection. The program however also supports automatic connectivity, which is great for maintaining our automation PCs and servers.

I may have a non-standard use case for TeamViewer. On the TeamViewer Web site, the emphasis seems to be TeamViewer for meetings. I imagine that TeamViewer is great for meetings where people need to share control of one of their computers. But for my purposes, when I'm helping students to use their computers, the sharing facilities in Zoom are sufficient and less intrusive. On the other hand, if I need remote access to a remote computer for the purpose of getting work done on that remote computer, TeamViewer is excellent.

Overall TeamViewer is very reliable, and really easy to setup and use. Out of the 7 years I think TeamViewer only had network/server issues probably 3 times. The clients are secured with passwords for remote access (Multiple passwords can be set, for multiple people to be able to access). We use the program several times a day and is an essential software to have for us to give good and prompt customer service.

Great management interface. You can make groups with rights. You're also able to make customized clients. Reports of connections are available.

For our support staff it's easy to connect to our customers. No more need to exchange passwords.

So far, I've really not found an instance where Teamviewer is less appropriate - it works well in every instance that I've used it for. Once again, my primary use for Teamviewer is providing remote support to users of a small family of niche tax software applications that we author. When I need to remotely connect to a user, they generally seem familiar with and trust Teamviewer to be used on their systems.

One hundred percent would recommend. I have used others and the ease of use and familiarity of the UI keeps me coming back every time. I have tested the others and there is a comfort to using Teamviewer since I have been using it since its inception. My supervisor and the CEO of my company asked if I wanted to keep it when renewal time came up and i was adamant that we keep it.

My primary use of TeamViewer is to provide remote assistance to customers. Support teams can connect to users' devices to troubleshoot issues, guide them through processes, or demonstrate how to use specific features. OccasionnalyI used it for Remote Work, to connect to a physical desktop from home, to have access to files and applications as if I was physically present in the office

The user friendly User Interface allows a new team member to use it without any training. The kind of Security Team Viewer provides is really helpful to maintain confidentiality and protect critical information while the user is on remote desktop sharing mode.

It is pretty fast when it comes to access remote computers on slow Internet connections.

When integrated with RMM software, you do not to remember the end-user TeamViewer password that TeamViewer generates every 4 hours.

TeamViewer tends to crash on Windows Server machines and it will show the servers as offline when they are not.

Remote printing is not as reliable as with other remote access software like LogMeIn.

It is slow when using multiple monitors

Most suited for users' devices who are not available physically for troubleshooting. Also it is most suited for remote control of devices where no user is present in order to allow remote access or login.
Less appropriate for remote work that needs color accuracy or mouse precision while using a computer not in your possession.

Easy to use and connect to a remote machine and take control of the machine and start the troubleshooting process and check the issue since most of the users wont be technically sound to understand and follow the troubleshooting steps we suggest so its better we connect to their machine and understand the exact issue and take corrective action and try to fix the issue then and there and Team viewer serves the purpose.

Easy screen sharing allows better understanding and auditing of remote sessions which is especially useful if you have a remote support charter in place. It is also easy to use the chat functionality in case whoever you are helping does not have access to a phone. Initiation and connection to a device with stable Internet connection is painless.

It greatly help manage pc's within small and large companies but is of a very low usefulness in smaller scenarios. Within well organized and structured companies it deserves a 1st place as it greatly helps solve issues that are daily commonly faced by employees. A great tool for supporting remote users on any version of windows, also other OS is supported. We used it over Windows OS and could deliver lot of support activities on system remote support, if required changes to be made in the system, executing application updates or changes with admin privileges, download or upload of files securely and no lagging if connected over an average good bandwidth.
