  • Limits travel to remote locations or from remote employees by being able to manage and troubleshoot remote computers without having to have hands on the machines physically.
  • It limits the need for shipping machines for testing or troubleshooting and lets us focus on sending and receiving the parts needed only.
  • Increasing the ability to remotely manage retail locations so that each one doesn't need an IT person on staff with 9 locations is a tremendous cost savings to the organization.

  • A positive impact was reduced time in support calls from end-users explaining their problem, since we can see their screen and assist them directly
  • A negative impact was the price of TeamViewer kept increasing, and is now too expensive to justify, with the screen-sharing market having many more reasonable competitors
  • A positive impact was being able to see and manage our remote devices in one area, but a negative impact was that the device management always took a backseat and better products are out there specifically for that purpose
We saw immediate benefits when support call times were reduced. For the first few years, it was noticeably better, and both our IT support staff and end-users were satisfied. As the price gradually increased and competition became better, however, the economic benefits became less realized and the price was not easy to justify.

  • Boost in productivity. It allows coworkers to share when working on projects from different locations.
The benefits from using TeamViewer were seen immediately. After the first remote session which was successful, the benefits were evident.

  • We have 12 local distributors of our products within our country, each hundreds of miles from our engineering department. Providing technical support without the remote access functions provided by TeamViewer would negatively impact our business since it would force us to mobilize specialized personnel with the costs that this implies.
  • Given the current state of technology, it is unacceptable for a customer to delay a repair until specialized personnel arrive. The benefits are not only measured in money but also in the speed of the solution. In short, more satisfied customers!

  • Convenience/employee comfort - saved many on-site trips by assisting users or performing maintenance via remote control
  • Minimized effort of setting up instead of more complex solutions requiring network changes, VPNs, or port forwarding
  • Saved the day several times when we had an outage, allowing a tech to log in and resolve issues within minutes
Compared to not having a remote control solution previously, we immediately saw benefits within a couple days after adoption. Time to resolve issues went down considerably, especially outside business hours, and IT was very happy their job was made easier.

  • The ability to fix a software problem while a user is out in the field saves us time and money.
  • I do not have hard numbers from our transition from TeamViewer to VNC, but I know there were time savings as well as a morale boost.
We started seeing savings in time almost immediately as the product we used prior had hangups, slow connections, and software crashes.
