TIBCO Integration (including BusinessWorks and Flogo)
12 years of experience
My company is a Tibco Gold Partner and we have a strict collaboration with Tibco PSG. We trust in their expertise and we work together for reaching the best results for our customer. It is used across the whole organization where an integration layer is needed. Both in on-premise architectures and in cloud ones. It is used also to integrate external platforms as SAP, Salesforce and other major vendors platforms.
  • It is a graphical tool allowing developing complex integration flows without having a deep knowledge.
  • It has a big community able to support developers.
  • It can be enriched adding custom palette built in Java.
Cons
  • The debug perspective should be improved adding graphical elements showing test results.
  • On-premises deployment environment is not easy to maintain.
  • An exporting format in Visio for analysis features should be useful.
It is well suited for SOAP and REST integration. It is not appropriate for large back end activities.

Quick, reliable and user friendly integration platform. Best for dynamics.

We use TIBO to integrate our ERP systems with our Dynamics CRM cloud instances and use it across the whole group. The main focus is to get customer master data in the CRM system including orders, quotes, and KPIs. Most of the integrations are daily synchronization jobs that sync all daily changes into the CRM systems. Partly we have triggered integrations to sync leads from CRM back to ERP.
  • Great UI
  • Easy to build logic
  • Easy datamapping
  • Very reliable
Cons
  • Integration templates for "standard use cases."
  • Performance increase for large bulk jobs (average around 3 seconds per record but can be more).
  • Licensing not based on solutions.
We use it mainly to integrate bulk updates into the cloud CRM systems. If we need a real-time integration we mostly use the CRM API with self-built integrations

We used tibco businessWorks for interconnection of applications. The interface is really user-friendly and intuitive. The development is easy and deployment is too; the only downside is that you need to develop your own way to log or use another tool that is designed for that part. The learning path of the application is pretty simple if you have clear formation.
  • Interface is really intuitive
  • Configuration is pretty easy
  • Everything is doable
Cons
  • Logs are a problem is you don't have a framework
I think if you need to interconnect multiple applications and want to have an intuitive interface to develop, you can find that using TIBCO BusinessWorks. The development and deployment are pretty simple and it's pretty easy to train someone new to the technology. You'll need to at least know how the administrator is working though.

TIBCO BusinessWorks is being used by a department of the organization, in particular the integration team. TIBCO BusinessWorks addresses the need to create new platforms for external organizations. In particular: Energy & Oil companies, or banks, or retail, to create a new integration between external systems, creating new useful applications for the users of the company we are consulting for.
  • It is immediate thanks to the graphical interface
  • Very useful for creating web services
  • You can integrate many systems between them
  • It can integrate cloud systems
Cons
  • It should be more stable
  • It should also be an open source version
  • It should incorporate test data management, such as queues or database
  • Add more plugins
TIBCO BusinessWorks is an excellent tool for integrating various systems, allowing data transmission, transformation and transcoding, even at high speeds. It may not be suitable in situations where the data volume is very large.

We are using Scribe to connect D365 to GP to send invoice and cost information. We are also using it for accounts payable information sending and data mart replication.
  • Data mart replication - easy to pull needed tables
  • UI is intuitive and fairly easy to understand despite not having a technical background
Cons
  • Support is slow, very unresponsive at times, takes way to long to respond
Data mart replication - best suited for this.
