The CA API gateways strength is applying repeatable security patterns in front of APIs, and being able to view the code for all APIs in a unified console. For performing data mapping a and transformations, the activity palettes within business works are much easier to work with and the finished product is much easier for others to read who were not the original developer.

BizTalk was a long time ago and not applicable anymore. Too complicated.
SSIS has been around a long time. Very fast and very dependable. Syntax and debugging can be challenging. Connectors are limited unless you buy third party product. Cloud service based API integration is non-existent without third-party connectors. Management tools are non-existent without third-party products. Price is included with SQL Server.
Boomi is a great tool. Cloud-based. Very powerful. Lots of connectors. The platform has many great capabilities including API Management, MDM, and workflow. I like the price point.
Mulesoft is great API integration platform. Lots of connectors. Cloud or on-premise deployment. Message payload handling and manipulation are very good. Debugging and support are very good. Salesforce just bought them. A bit pricey.

Tibco BW is uses its own JVM container to implement java-based multi-threaded application server. It could be implemented in a smaller footprint, microservice-like as well as monolithic way with traditional SOA artifacts. It is robust and high performing.

Oracle Data Integrator and Informatica PowerCenter. I would say TIBCO BusinessWorks is a definite contender, though I know there are some shortcomings in comparison to bulk data operations that Oracle Data Integrator can really excel with. For instance Oracle Data Integrator includes knowledge modules that provide complex operations to complete tasks that provide several performance advantages and can make it easier to understand where issues exist. As for real-time integrations it seems to be very capable though and the few times I've used it for larger data sets it has worked well.

Tibco BusinessWorks was the first integration product I've seen and used despite having seen others. I think it is one of the most complete integration software. We used TIBCO since it is more user-friendly, easier to use and configure, it makes it developing faster and more intuitive applications even without having much experience as a programmer.

I have had chances to evaluate Pega. Although there might be some features in Pega that can be better than Tibco BW, but finally Tibco BW scores the most. As the product is very intuitive and easy to use.

A lot of on-premises application integration scenarios:
  • Multiple hardware, software, distributed systems.
  • Peoplesoft, Oracle DB, SAP ERP, Sterling OMS, Oracle ATG E-commerce framework like those technologies in the program.
  • Not many cloud integration and on-premises integration scenarios - Rejected - Mulesoft.
  • Not many SaaS applications integration scenarios -- Snap Logic is not selected. No complete Oracle products. So, no "OFM".

I have learn Mulesoft. The application seems more focused on online services. IBM IIB is a free application, but it seems you need to spend more money to support it. It might need more time to make the product more efficient and user friendly. TIBCO BW is easy to get into it. Easy to support. Only problem is price for the product also higher.
