in environments that have many disparate data stores that need to be secured or addressed in a unified way across an enterprise. this would include hybrid on premise and cloud architectures requiring a single point of translation or semantic layer that hides the underlying sql used to query or interact with the data stores directly.

Tibco Data Virtualization simplifies the architecture between the operational systems and front ends. Allow us to build a common data model for everyone(Business and IT), align the different rules, capabilities, segments, and SLA's in one tool. Event-driven is a must in this kind of environment in particular for data cache management. The product is very flexible and we can easily replicate some tools and get "lost" in the use cases scenarios we want to implement, respect the product core and clarify your needs and objectives.

There are many departments that require TIBCO Data Virtualization. For your daily work in the company, this is a tool that is very easy to use by all the members of my team and the implementation is also fast, there are no delays of any kind in TIBCO, it also has technical support that helps quickly. We have drawbacks, everything in TIBCO is very nice, from the integrations to the data reading features.

TIBCO data virtualization is useful for industries where they are getting E-commerce orders or online orders from customers. They can serve orders on time to increase better customer service. Pendency will be reduced with this app and one can achieve 100% SLA adherence if taking data for proper analysis. Best app.

TIBCO Data Virtualization is well suited for customers who are challenged to deal with extracting data from dozens of different sources and systems, and do not have the time and liberty to hire data engineers and/or ETL developers to write dozens or hundreds of complex ETLs.

However, there are situations where TIBCO Data Virtualization severely underperforms, and those are where we are dealing with large volumes of data, in tera bytes or peta byte scale system. For example, a messaging queue which sends 200 million messages every hour will choke TIBCO Data Virtualization if the technology is chosen to route the data.

TIBCO Data Virtualization has developed a platform to track, manage, and provide concise reports throughout the various stages of the sales process. It is a powerful tool that has helped maximise efficiency through its visualisation formats. After working with this tool and seeing the benefits, I couldn't imagine my life without it. I will continue to use TIBCO Data Virtualization for the foreseeable future.

It is well suited in the sales department, but also allows a platform for our customers to successfully leverage their data and communicate collaboratively across their lines of business. It provides high and low level knowledge of data that would not be nearly as insightful without the power of the visualizations that TIBCO Data Virtualization has to offer

One of the main benefits we have with TIBCO Data Virtualization is being able to have information available quickly by applying the information cache; this benefits us by reducing queries to databases and not affecting the performance of databases and servers. And the response times in the information query are really fast even with large volumes of information; this really optimizes the query of statistical reports in the company as well as the query of information when it is required from an application using OData services, really the option of having the information available in a virtualized way is wonderful.

Well suited: Useful for aggregating data sources and creating a master view to be used across Org streams/ units. Less appropriate: Not a lot of organs use TDV solely because it is marketed as a sole virtualization product rather than a suite of products. Moreover, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to the user interface, especially the web manager console.

When faced with many disparate data sources in a multitude of different data formats and data types the applications support many connectors to meet the challenge of producing consolidated reports. Relating different data sets into a single view is a strong feature. After consolidating data sources the ability to provide concise charts to display the current state and trends was key. The application is efficient in providing for these needs.

If your organization is large, has many different data sources, and has the budget then TIBCO Data Virtualization may be the solution for you. The TIBCO Data Virtualization tool does take some time to learn. If your organization is smaller with a lower budget then there may be a better solution for you. We also need reports automatically generated on a periodic basis and saved to another location (such as our electronic document management system) but we aren't sure if/how this can be accomplished using TIBCO Data Virtualization.

TIBCO Data Virtualization is well suited where you have a need to bring data from different data silos and also present this data as single unified layer without h storing this data in a traditional data warehouse. It also recommended ins scenarios where you need to implement data security on your data based on role or at tenancy level. Tibco Data Virtualization is recommended for organization who don't have the infrastructure or budget where they don't want to invest in huge data centers or data storage, but still want to provide single layer of unified data. TIBCO Data Virtualization is not a data warehouse and is not recommended if any organization wants to replace their existing data warehouse with data virtualization.

TIBCO Data Virtualization is mainly suited for Salesforce integrations where we can create, update and query the data from Salesforce. There are multiple custom connectors available like Salesforce pardot by which we can develop Inbound or outbound flows based on business requirements and build APIs. There are also multiple connectors on Amazon like Amazon redshift, Amazon s3.

TIBCO Data Virtualization will be well used in companies that have data stored in a heterogeneous database and have complex data, but the size of data should be medium. For larger data, TIBCO Data Virtualization lags in performance.

TIBCO Data Virtualization will not be useful in the scenario where the company has stored its data in a similar fusion same database data size is large.

[TIBCO Data Virtualization is] best used for data extraction from multiple sources, especially when the data isn't easy to to integrate for a final result. [TIBCO Data Virtualization] can effectively prepare the data to be usable for our needs.

It is useful for companies with huge data, as it makes it easier to see trends and statistics and also search for the required information. Companies can also use it to analyze the data and see if there are any areas for improvement and areas that are doing well and focus on those.

It's a very nice tool for accessing data in a simple way, but it's haunted by many flaws, in design, in implementation and during use of its own IDE, the TDV Studio. It's of little use when "semiproduct"/temporary calculations are necessary for calculating anything as it does not provide fast data offloading techniques (comparable to, e.g., Oracle's direct path loads, parallel inserts, multi-inserts, CTAS's or combinations thereof).

Our use case to use TIBCO Data Virtualization as a single access point to all databases failed so far. We had issues while using complex structured data sources in TIBCO Data Virtualization. We are still in the PoC phase with no outlook for productive use soon.

1) Data Integration
2) Unified layer for data related operations
3) Effective and quicker data processing
4) Robust connections to numerous data sources
5) Ability to use the user interface with ease during initial implementation stages
6) Ability to seamlessly and easily integrate this tool with multiple 3rd party applications

TIBCO is well suited to see raw data and how the tables are connected. We used different data sources so it was good to see that TIBCO has a good list of different sources. It has a decent layout but not the best. Easy to navigate but again, it’s similar to MSQL.
