There are better options - especially now.
- stable operations requires experienced team, but if achieved can be quite beneficial.
- Depending on product usage, many instances (issue with scalability) and in micro-service architecture can be quite expensive (licenses).
- Working with BW6/BW5 gives the results.

Always on with EMS!
- Using Tibco Messaging is undoubtedly a major licensing investment.
- Applications are not super easy to migrate from other buses that is not comparable to TIBCO / Jakarta systems in terms of software architecture.
- The robustness of Tibco Messaging guarantees the robustness of the applications that use it, obviously with regard to the integration part (listening/sending messages)
- The development of new applications is very rapid in integrating with the existing world, code is completely reused for bus connection and especially payload decoding.

- It promotes the event-driven a-synchronized architecture, boosting the service-oriented design change by decoupling the data generator and the data consumer.
- Applications can be easily "attached" to the data flow to quickly roll out the business added values without having to risk the changes of existing applications or components.

Does the job, but there are better alternatives
- It was better than the previous generation TIBCO products we used.
- The closed nature of the client libraries and documentation wasted a lot of our dev team's time because we needed logins to the TIBCO portal to view it.
- TIBCO sample code was not very organized and very difficult to understand.

Tibco EMS for a big size company (10000+ employees)
- At the time we purchased, it was a good technology... but right now we don't see the point of staying with EMS. The support made us lose so much time.

- The licenses aren't the cheapest comparing it to alternative messaging products
- A lot of material can be found online regarding EMS client development which can speeds things up
- Because we are using EMS appliances, our messaging layer is stable, robust and performant

- Tibco EMS is well suited in situations where the application can benefit from asynchronous processing. It is not suited for synchronous request/response. It is not suited for permanent storage, as all messages in the JMS topic/queue are supposed to be transitory in nature.
